I picked up some pickled eggs a while ago, and while convenient and filling they're so incredibly, intensely vinegary I begin having a GERD attack almost immediately after eating them.Ver archivo adjunto 6019885
Pickled eggs. They taste awful And have the worst texture. I got over my picky eating over a decade ago but this is the one food I cannot stand besides seafood.
You are keeping the pickled pig foot industry alive. Godspeed, you lunatic.Im the guy who buys the weird shit no one else buys.
The sight of a big jar of red liquid and barely recognizable meat makes me happy every time. I fully believe the red food color is to make it look less horrifying. Along with pickled eggs and sausages, its great in the field food. It has electrolytes! You are keeping the pickled pig foot industry alive. Godspeed, you lunatic.
I rarely eat fast food unless a friend/family member is buying. It's just unequivocally cheaper to buy items from the grocery store and do some basic cooking. If I spend money on outside food it will be a good restaurant. That said, I wonder if places like Burger King rely on their apps. A friend was getting us food the other day and BK's app had a deal with 2 whoppers, 2 small fries, 2 small nuggets, and 2 chicken sandwiches all for $30. Sounds better than your experience. The food still isn't any good though.I’m curious who the fuck still goes to fast food places with how stupidly expensive they’ve gotten for the quality of food you get?
Mom was really craving a Whopper the other day so I drove her out to BK to grab lunch. Two medium size Whopper combo meals was $31. Both of us were gobsmacked, told them to fuck off with that shit and just took her to a local mom and pop burger place where it was $18 for the two of us to have lunch, and the quality was worlds better. Pipe dream I know but the day can’t come soon enough when the entire fast food industry crashes and burns.
See, what you want is pickled quail eggs. I've made pickled eggs at home and chicken eggs just have too much white. I've heard pricking the eggs with a fork helps the vinegar saturate it, but it's not much better. Pickled quail eggs are harder to find, I usually see them at rural gas stations. They have a better yolk to white ratio and absorb more flavor though. They're also nice one-bite snacks.Ver archivo adjunto 6019885

I don't buy them often but I make them. Some Amish varieties are pretty good.Ver archivo adjunto 6019885

I always keep a jar of dill relish in my fridge. I eat it on sandwiches, or mixed in with tuna on crackers.OK I got one and I and probably will get some hate for, basic ass relish?
It's supposedly because of the burytic(?) acid that is used in processing it. I don't exactly know what it does or why it's added to the chocolate but it's probably some kind of bulking agent or some shit that lets Hershey's save a fraction of a penny per bar and they keep dumping it into the mixture to jew their money. It straight up makes the chocolate taste like vomit and I haven't bought any American chocolate in nearly two decades.Thread tax: nobody likes plain Hershey bars and the fact this is what the entire world has to represent American chocolate is a travesty. It sucks
I do not like pickled eggs from the store, or any that are just a mass market product. But I remember going to a pub with some friends while traveling for work a few years ago and one of the things they had on the menu was an assortment of homemade pickled things made right there at the bar. It was just the usual stuff like little cucumbers, carrots, and garlic but there was also one egg served with the order and it's the only time I've had a pickled egg that I actually liked.Ver archivo adjunto 6019885

Butyric. It's literally something that happens when butter goes rancid, hence its vile taste. It's supposedly because of the burytic(?) acid that is used in processing it.
Potted meat gets its name because it was stored in pots.Buddha's hand is great for infusing into vodka.
I actually like Spam, and certain other canned meat. The one I don't understand how people buy is Potted Meat Food Product.
First of all, the name is fucking awful. Second, here are the ingredients:
Beef tripe, mechanically separated chicken, beef hearts, partially defatted cooked beef fatty tissue, meat broth, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, flavoring, sugar, and sodium nitrite.
Here's what it looks like opened up:

Seriously, who the fuck looks at the ingredients, then thinks, "Hmm... Chock full of animal byproducts. Yeah, sounds good!" and then gets it home, opens it up, sees what it looks like, and still decides to put it into their body?
Convenience store near my home was selling these for $6.50 each. Looks like something you’d get from the Dollar Tree. I don’t care how hungry or stoned you might be, who would pay $6.50 for this?
It's not an additive, it's a direct result of the company's chocolate-making process. Exactly why, I don't know, but it's always been made by Hershey that way. I bought a packet last year. I haven't made it, but I bought it.I wonder if anyone under 45 still buys Jell-O.
Pickled sausages are delicious. I've never tried pickled pigs feet, I've wanted to ever since I was a kid and saw a large jar of them in a local small town grocery store. Might end up getting some soon.Along with pickled eggs and sausages, its great in the field food. It has electrolytes!
The texture reminds me of ribs, or more closely, pig tails. Some meat, fat and some gristle, not a meal exactly but a quick protein rich snack.Pickled sausages are delicious. I'm a Zoomer and absolutely love it. Growing up, older ladies would bring various gelatin desserts to our church potlucks, and I'd always grab a big scoop/slice for myself. My personal favourite is Jell-O key lime pie. Looks something like this. (Not my picture.)I wonder if anyone under 45 still buys Jell-O.
