Extremely late/gay to this, but what the actual fuck happened to this series, All i remember was something about kids possessing robots and some mass murderer running about, now there is all this family drama and books and a fucking movie being made, also Scott got "cancelled". what has happened since I last saw anything about this franchise, I dropped off around FNAF 3.

  • FNAF 4 gets released and is another prequel like FNAF 2. Introduces ANOTHER bite, which confuses the fuck out of everyone since "The Bite of 87" has been hyped up since the first game. This time it's "The Bite of 83". Community goes on autistic ragefits against each other.
  • FNAF 5 (Sister Location) gets released, this time we're in the future (or sometime between FNAF 2 and FNAF 1, nobody fucking knows anymore). Protagonist is the serial killer's son trying to find his sister which is trapped in one of the animatronics "spiritually". True ending has the son being killed and posessed by the animatronics so now ther are TWO purple guys
  • FNAF 6 (Pizza Simulator) takes place after FNAF 3. Is supposed to be the conclusion to EVERYTHING since everyone dies at the end
  • FNAF 7 (Ultimate Custom Night) is treated like purple guy's pergatory. Not really meant to be taken seriously, has weeb shit for cutscenes
  • FNAF VR - As the name implies it's a VR game made by a completely new team with Scott giving approval on things they came up with. It has a tougne-in-cheek 4th wall breaking story stating all of scott's previous games were lies. You play events from the past games as "re-creations for VR". Also has lore about how there's a virus infecting the program with a NEW Bunny antagonist that's totally not springtrap you guys but a completely new OC donut steel.
  • FNAF Special Delivery - Mobage game nobody really gives a fuck about
  • FNAF Security Breach - Latest game that takes the entire lore of FNAF and fucks it in the ass with a dragon dildo. Springtrap and Molten Freddy are back for... reasons. Also filled with bugs and questionable game design choices like not being able to save near the final part when 75% of the game is still unexplored. Streamers loose their fucking shit in frustration, fans are beyond pissed.
  • MattPatt is still a faggot
There's also some SJW fuckery regarding how Scott is a conservative christian and voted for (or supported) trump or some shit like that, which now makes him the son of satan to every leftist.

Books are completely different canons from the games, but Scott for some asinine reason likes to mix the two together every now and then. One of them even has important lore shit that relates to the games.

While everything listed is correct, it's basically the vidja version of Lost. Starting with a base game with "mysteries" that were meant to be filled in by the player, it became an internet phenomenon due to indie horror games being a fad and the explosion of lore tubers copy pasting Reddit content.
At this point the series could not die and each game promised answers only to raise more questions. The dev being Christian revelation basically irradiated the whole franchise and killed it for good, the last game being shit didn't help.

Totally dismissive of the fact the amount of money donated to those republican politicians are a fraction compared to the shit he donated to charities, most of which being LGBT-friendly. That's not even mentioning the fact that as an american citizen he has every right to support the political candidates he believes in. But it didn't just stop at pointing fingers, since his family was getting death threats from these loonies. It's sad and pathetic that even e-celebs who built their entire channels out of FNAF have to bend the knee to these freaks.

These people are the reason there's no official statement about the state of Security Breach's release, and going forward - might even be the reason this franchise stagnates and dies. Absolute parasites. No sympathy from me.
 
It is really stupid. supporting a political party does not mean you share 100% of their views, and scott has done plenty to support lgbt people. Modern internet is a minefield where if you breathe wrong you get cancelled

it's even weirder since scott supported trump republicans based on their economic policy, and unlike fundies trumpublicans don't have a strong stance on gender shit.
except for keeping that shit away from children but i'd hardly call that a strong anti-lgbtq2++ stance.

It’s insane how everyone forgets that he made Mangle basically “nonbinary” or “gender fluid” or whatever the fandom decides the thing is.
He was briefly attacked for not giving it a gender if I remember correctly.
He’s done this with other characters too, and considering the time his games came out, it was honestly progressive as that wasn’t the norm.

Insane how all these trannys magically forgot that, but they always jump at a chance to feed someone to the wolves. Or animatronics in this case.

You already have that with the "I wish there were no autistic people" argument. Trend chasers will argue it's transphobic since, for them, their identity and victim points in the goal. Legit people suffering from dysphoria will might agree in person but not in public since that's social suicide.
The argument is always a pseudo religious "there are no bad existences".

They're kind of obliged to after how poorly the game was received. I know it's just a teaser poster, but the monitors remind me of the comic book art used in the endings. I really hope they don't bring that back, mixed with fully animated cutscenes it just proved how rushed the game was.
Also curious how this adds on to the plot. It looks like Fnaf 3 - the sequel.

Also the kid's wearing light up sketchers.
