I found this on 4chan. Allegedly these are instagram stories from Ellie regarding suicide. If these posts are real, then she might have actually been doing a test run of the sodium nitrate. Hence no suicide note. A lot of people who use this method test their sodium nitrate just to know what to expect and end up dying.
First off, praying this isn't real and Ellie just wants to disappear from the public eye.. Hopefully this isn't some sort of passed down genetic character train passed down through her japanese heritage.
Second, I don't see fishtank lasting much longer if they don't drastically change the structure. I feel like getting dudes on the show isn't an issue, but it seems like every single season there's a chick who goes completely mental or tries killing herself.

Out of all the girls that have been on the show, Ellie seemed to be the most well adjusted to society. Also, let's not forget she was fucking 18 years old coming on the show. If this is actually true, this is fucking awful for everyone involved and I don't see Jet being able to overcome the TTS headed his way. This goes way beyond Marky. Really hoping that girls okay.

Jet doesn't have the same wall of protectors to buffer fan commentary like Sam does. We see him engaging with fans baiting him negatively, time and time again online. He's also much mroe involved with the show which leads to more opportunities for fans to bring it up
And yeah, the future of fishtank might have to be one that doesn't involve girls as regular cast members. Too much of a legal liability. This is NOT good for FT.

Someone commented something similar earlier; but I think people who will go onto these types of shows (where, more or less, the entire point is your own humiliation and suffering) are already far closer to the mental illness line/suicide line than most other people. Most suicidal people are "totally normal and fine" to everyone around them until they die, leading to people re-evaluating and realizing past behavior was very indicative this was coming.
I am not really sure how FishTank could possibly work to fix this. Would they need to psych eval everyone trying to come onto their show? If they try to step in and prevent people from being pushed too far and becoming too upset or whatever, people will stop watching.
Sadly just the reality of the content; will continue to happen most likely.

I think not everyone who wants to come on Fishtank are that jaded. Some of the girls going on had a man introduce them to MDE/fishtank. Maybe that relationship ended and they go on the show now for attention. I would agree that everyone goes on the show for attention, sure. But to make the argument that everyone who goes on fishtank hates themselves isn't accurate. It's a good amount of money and exposure for the winner, and for young men/women who are in poor living or financial situation...free rent and a 5 figure cash prize with a huge social media following boost seems to be worth the torture
Here's hoping Jet's ginger twink serf has enough ADHD meds to withstand all the chargeback champions next season coming up with ways to get Clara and Ellie past the filter. Wonder if it would pronounce the ; in "L;E", it's the most space efficient to belittle the clown shoe buying baldy that chose to say fucking nothing for two months.
Nothing to really add, just very sad to see someone so young go like this.
She clearly had a few screws loose to even be on the show at such a young age, but she otherwise seemed like a nice person with an unfortunate childhood. And as much as we rag on Jet I pray that he can overcome this and knows it wasn't really his fault.

As someone that has been through the prescription & wanting to die gauntlet I just feel bad ya know? Idk. I’ve had low lows of my own
my heart sinks when I see someone that didn’t pull through it. Especially so young. When you’re that young it’s easy to think the best is already over, or things will never recover. That you were born under a bad moon and you can’t do anything.
Recently, I’ve been coming to terms with the idea that I still have a lot of life ahead of me. I’d say in the last year. All of a sudden the extreme VASTNESS of my life overwhelms me. It’s like I’m two again but have full autonomy & control & five years of work experience & another degree on the way. It’s amazing and somehow all the things I did while thinking about walking to the train tracks at night for years paid off?
But it only came together because I lived and somehow pulled myself out of the gutter on some dark night of the soul shit. A lot of very hard work and being able and willing to accept help. It was awful and horrifying & I feel deeply disturbed and saddened now when I recognize or hear someone talk about going to the same depths. When you’re passively or actively suicidal you might as well be walking around flayed
She didn’t deserve that, she deserved an education and life and to dream new dreams and it’s a shame that she acted on the conclusions she did. RIP.
