I would think it's more that s4 was a shit idea and would never work out. Idk Sam's opinion but I bet he hates the idea of re doing s1, remakes will never top the original.I think this is why Sam seemed disconnected in Season 4 because he knew Season 3 was the absolute peak. He realized they were never going to top it.
S3 proved Fishtank works best when there's a theme or gimmick to it, that's why S4 fell flat, why S2 was such a disappointment (Weird 70s cult vibe was immaculate), and why S5 would have been a turd if it wasn't for a literal S tier cast. What I'm saying is we NEED PirateTank.I think this is why Sam seemed disconnected in Season 4 because he knew Season 3 was the absolute peak. He realized they were never going to top it.
So all LARP, all the time. Sure, the s3 cast didn't know it was LARP at first, but it worked best when jet and Sam were larping.S3 proved Fishtank works best when there's a theme or gimmick to it, that's why S4 fell flat, why S2 was such a disappointment (Weird 70s cult vibe was immaculate), and why S5 would have been a turd if it wasn't for a literal S tier cast. Fishtank is inherently an avant-garde experimental realityshowstream despite the retardation around it. Trying to force "hellhouse" for coming up on 4 years is what will ACTUALLY kill the show.
sam and ben clashing “on set” in front of the fish was awesomeSo all LARP, all the time. Sure, the s3 cast didn't know it was LARP at first, but it worked best when jet and Sam were larping.
Ben could do great things but he chains himself to Jet so if something fails people just expect it because Jet was involved. If Ben struck out on his own he could do better than what Jet has done.gay ben in general was just peak
Hard disagree. Jet's really funny too but he cucks himself by trying to be "on-screen personality trolling people" Jet and "Super serious show runner" Jet at the same time. He did better in S5 with that by admitting not of it was professional and they more or less did whatever they wanted.Ben could do great things but he chains himself to Jet so if something fails people just expect it because Jet was involved. Season 5 had to be less ambitious because it was a make or break. They'd lost 9-10 months and a lot of money moving to Georgia. It had to be a by the numbers "safe" season.Season 5 being less ambitious makes sense because it makes it harder to totally fuck up which would have been catastrophic after season 4. They really need to go harder in season 6 though.
it may not have been that ambitious, but it was still the second best after S3 to me, if they can keep doing them like S5 it will be alright, in a sense it was probally the most "balanced" season of them all, it never really lost steam even near the endSeason 5 had to be less ambitious because it was a make or break. Yeah, I remember pretty early into the season he said his goal was just to hand someone that 50k check. I know they lost a shit ton of money with all the s4 legal stuff, he said like $80,000 worth of bloodgames 2 props were taken away. In terms of profit this season was a success, probably just proving to Sam that he could actually finish a season without supervision.Hard disagree. I think some of the S5 basement streams made me understand Jet's thought process more, while not necessarily coming away liking him more.Hard disagree. I really liked S5 but it stumbled when Jet brought in the IP2 whores. Lots of dead time as well.it never really lost steam even near the end
I think Ben is at his best when he has someone to bounce off of.Ben could do great things but he chains himself to Jet so if something fails people just expect it because Jet was involved. If Ben struck out on his own he could do better than what Jet has done.
i agree that was baffling, specially because everyone hated it including production themselves, but there was never a "welp, shows over" moment like in S2 or even S3I really liked S5 but it stumbled when Jet brought in the IP2 whores. Lots of dead time as well.
what is BLOODGAMESSo all LARP, all the time. Sure, the s3 cast didn't know it was LARP at first, but it worked best when jet and Sam were larping.
6. The entire mogfest with landon, including the beatdownI think Ben is at his best when he has someone to bounce off of.
2.5: Sheriff Ben was elevated by Deputy Brian
3: Gay Ben, and the Ball Bros
4: ...solo underwear show-off was funny, but not my vibe
5: Jet and Ben doing weird shit together ruled. The Dragon Wish was hilarious, and Lil Maejok, chasing around Alex B was pure gold.
