One of these days, I’d like to imagine one of the people calling everything some form of racist realize that the call is coming from inside the house, solely for the existential crisis it would cause their programming.

Today was not that day.
Media trying to create diverse settings cannot win to lose it seems. Throw minorities where they don't belong and they'll be called tokens by people demanding more, make the whole setting exotic and you get accused of making “white savior propaganda” if there's any white people no matter how justified their presence is. Combine this with some of the more overzealous “anti-woke” types that lose their shit at the sight of anybody darker than a paper bag no matter how justified their presence may be, and you somehow become hated by everybody on both extremes.

The Culture War is so tedious, I just want to play Vidya.

If they work with the setting and are well written, I could give half a shit about a characters race, sexuality, or whatever else. Unfortunately, most of them either feel like blatant self inserts or are written so poorly it just loops back into Tokenism and takes me out of it.

I have my opinions about certain races and sexual proclivities too, but I’d rather just grill for God's sake! I'll fight the culture war if it makes me fight in it, but I’m not going to lose my shit at every instance of nonwhite or rainbow characters existing.

I'm going to play devil's advocate and note that 3H was the game that made clearer that the playable units are officers in a larger army rather than the entirety of the heroes' fighting force,
Well, I don't have an issue with this. But it's kind of implied that certain characters were either busy doing admin stuff, they were initially off doing their own work, or just acting as an enforcer. We all saw how everyone drove Frederick insane with their own quirks, right!?
and that the battles being played are that of tide-turning strikes against strategic locations rather than the inching of the day-to-day fighting.
But the series kind of flip-flops being the tip of the spear of crayon-eaters to just slogging it out because one of the villains had just shat his tunic and is taking it out on you. And bandits and whores. You can't forget the random acts of carnage.

Although, the series seldom places the heroes on the defensive, if I'm right. Which is kind of boring, since those missions is what really sets the mood for when shit gets real
I think it is fair to say that the return to the main base is just the officers while the locations are held by non-trivial garrisons that the enemy force can't or won't advance on following their losses in that months' battle.
Well it's been like that since Path of Radiance, possibly earlier. But after a certain point, it's kind of dumb how everything is just conveniently a week's travel from the monastery and nothing else has happened during the rest of the month. Like, an entire war just happens on just one front and every other garrison in the region is just sitting there playing cards at the camp.

Perhaps more blatantly for the protagonist's side, but that was always inferable back in the day with enemy units.

Also FIFY. Calling them "minorities" implies we need more of them where they don't belong (and has additional kosher connotations). Reminder that Whites are a global minority smaller than the percentage of blacks in America. I refuse to tolerate communist wordplay, and I'd suggest freeing yourself from its usage, it's only designed to harm you.

No. The Global Majority thing is propped up to make whites feel smaller and “prove” that nonwhites deserve more prominence because whites are such a small percentage on the raw numbers of humans on earth. Until Whites stop being the majority in every western nation, I will not stop calling nonwhites minorities, since they still do not make up the majority of the parts of the world that matter.

Got a bit excited seeing a return to christmas cavs. Then I heard "in between battles!" for the Nigger Weave trailer and said "lol lmao no thanks". 3H was shit due in no small part to spending more time in the fucking base doing Hogwarts anime bullshit than playing the actual maps. Why would I want a repeat but with Not-Alucard, blue hair with dreads, and blue hair with daddy issues?

Call me when we go back to knights.

All I want is playable Manaketes! is that so much to ask for?! and when I say playable Manaketes I mean ones that can properly turn into Dragons during battle and haven't thrown away their Stones (or whatever they did with them) like Seteth and his daughter/sister (The one who likes Fish, I can't remember her name.)
I don't know what the Dragon people are called in this setting, or which "world" it's in, but I always just call the Dragon people Manaketes.

I saw the girl in the trailer who looks like she may be one, but I'm not getting my hopes up too much for her to actually be able to turn into a Dragon.

They're called Nabateans in 3H. Dragons from space.

Can they stop making retarded armor designs already good god
The armor knights were already wearing ridiculously large suits of plate back in the Kaga Era
1781151621854.png
Then they started wearing their shield as a chest piece during the GBA Era.
1781152096273.png
The Kozaki games gave them that weird armor hood to make the generics faceless.

Honestly, it can't get worse than it already was

Only FE games that have done armor right aesthetically were Tellius.

Surprised this hasn't been deliberated here yet but (cope incoming), does the Sheboon's Weave world map style seem kindov "experimental" to anyone? In the sense that, if I believed goytendo actually planned things out smartly, I'd say it looks like a broad conflict map which could be applied to other things... like say a remake of a continental epic called FE4? Hear me out.

If you think about how 3Houses used so many of its ideas, and the coliseum we're seeing with Sheboon's Weave, to Heroes essentially giving every character a voice... I don't know it just seems ripe for evolution and reimplementation. Like ideas are being tested with an overall goal of making that long awaited remake one day. It's a shame goytendo is fucktarded and this absolutely isn't happening.

It's basically an tool for exploration, as far as I can tell. Might get retooled into a 3-way war. But I doubt if IntSys has it in them to make an grand strategy game
