He set the prices to allow for a small profit. It made many of the figures more expensive than what most people were willing to pay, though. And he thought the Amiibo business would do really well (Sonichu was selling well), so he expanded the line to other characters and bought a ton of Amiibos for it that ended up going unused, which wiped out most of his profits.

If I'd been drunk enough I might have convinced myself to buy a medallion back when he was selling those, but there's not enough alcohol in the world for me to want to blow 50 bucks on a hacked-together amiibo.

I'd fork out a reasonable amount for a fully fleshed out hardcopy dimensional merger survival book. I have serious doubts Chris is ever going to put in enough effort or content to make that happen, though

What's ultimately exasperating is that Chris tweeted last week that he "reads everything" on Kiwifarms.
So there's some chance he is going to read this and see the interest in Sonichu pages and medallions. Seeing kiwis basically saying "hey dipshit, if you need money so badly then this is exactly what people want from you for them to willingly pay you!" but he's not going to put this information to any good use, simply because begging is easier than doing arts and craft like a five year old.
Even his begging has gotten lazy, remember when Chris used to make videos to beg? He used to stand in front of all his toys and say they were about to die of starvation if people didn't donate. I thought for sure he hit rock bottom with this video and that the ebegging couldn't possibly get any lazier, laying in bed not even willing to give an excuse for wanting money - but somehow it has, because he doesn't even make videos anymore to beg, he just tweets. He can't even be bothered to hold a camera to his face!

I had many laughs at lucriditiez at the people who didn't think this SonichuMerch guy was a ween. I guess you kinda have to overplay your hand since subtlety is lost on Chris. Subtlety being pronounced "suptulltee" just like he pronounces debt as "dept."

I thought the extent of that guy's trolling was to just throw together a shop and pretend he's making bank off it to Chris. But I guess since Chris took the bait, he's going ahead with leading him around by the nose. Who knows where this'll go now... it's similar to how Wise got access to Chris, by waving money to get his attention and then feeding into his delusions. And SonichuMerch evaded the Internet barrier set up for Chris without even needing to meet him in person like the Teen Troon Squad did.
