Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

Supposedly (I say that because I can't remember when it was said) they mentioned that they were working on the head problems with hrothgar and viera so that hair can be more easily implemented. I think one of the new artifact gear featured a female viera with new hair too.

Impatient fucks who probably just wanted to get the shortest MSQ roulette dungeon done for their Revelations and didn't want to deal with newfags approaching things at their own pace.

I'm noticing an increasingly stark contrast between the leveling experience and level 80 experience lately. People leveling are generally fairly amicable and patient, and what they lack in competency, they make up for in communication and willingness to learn. Meanwhile, nobody says a fucking word in Expert roulettes and you get DPS and healers pretending to be tanks when you pull maybe one CD too slow for their tastes. Or they can't help but shit out their burst AoE rotations mid-pull while still wanting you to wall-to-wall pull well before you have all the trash piled together and aggro safely established.

The faggots who /return in Matoya's Relict before the run to the final boss have been irking me the most. Someone STILL has to stay behind to make sure the poroggo does its little event flag to trigger the final boss to spawn, so while /returning may make the boss spawn faster, you yourself won't be starting the fight any quicker since you're gonna have to wait for everyone else to port back and run to the arena anyway.
It's an expert roulette dungeon, people run it for the latest tomes. Of course they want to go fast.

I don't want to use tranny mods to wear a good hair (:_(
Using a mod doesn't make you a tranny, they are not part and parcel with any mods. If you choose to use hair mods you simply use the ones you want, don't support or download the ones that are wokie bullshit and you're fine.

I do wholly agree on the hair though, its some serious BS that going Viera means you lose some you've potentially paid money for.

Right, and I'm not arguing against wall-to-wall pulling, but there's fast, and then there's "let me disregard some of the most basic mechanics of this game to feed this delusion that this highly inconvenient thing I'm doing is somehow making this run go faster for me."

Burst AOE mid-pull, especially from standstill turret bitch casters, is one of the funnier ones, because they're usually the ones least likely to make the attempt to at least pull the mobs they peeled back towards the Tank, but they still want you to keep pulling ahead anyway while also taking back the trash they peeled off of you.

Another mostly unrelated anecdote: Had a healer get upset with me near the end of a level 80 roulette the other night because they stopped healing me right before the final wall-to-wall trash pull was dead, I didn't have any other CDs up, my HP was dropping dangerously low, so I went ahead and popped my "Oh shit" button just to keep myself up and finish off the trash. They proceeded to go "You don't trust me :(". No fucking shit I don't. I don't even know your ass and I've had plenty of healers who've let me fucking die to less. Why would I not use what's left of my toolkit to stay alive?

healers tend to only heal until it's absolutely necessary so as they can maximize their DPS output along with making full use of abilities when needed. Astrologian's essential dignity heals up to 1100 potency the lower the tank's HP gets. White Mage's Benedict just straight up heals you to 100%. Scholar's excog requires you to be a 50% or lower to pop.
I wouldn't really complain about how low my HP gets until I actually die, then i start pestering the healer.

I'm not complaining about that though, I'm just describing the situation as it occurred. I'm perfectly fine with making full use of my kit so that the healer can shit damage as they please. It was the healer who complained that I popped my panic button to keep myself up when they weren't throwing out their own panic button heals and expected me to just implicitly trust a DF rando to do their job properly when the majority of DF randos usually don't.

Using your invuln to speed up a trash pull or get a kill on a particuarly large one is a perfectly valid strat, the healer was a mouthbreather

If anything spamming only clemency as a PLD is the true "you suck dick" showoff to a healer, doubly so if you clemency someone who is not yourself kek

That is exactly what happened in another recent story I've told ITT:
Hopefully they're okay. They might've just lost power due to storm damage in the area.

In some cases, the DCs are absolutely astonishing. Had a healer drop to the last boss of The Twinning last night, clearly new, they got told what to do, but the other DPS decided to wipe the fight anyway even though we were right on the verge on clearing it. We go back in, this time the healer drops again about halfway through the fight, then about less than a minute later, DC's and never comes back. So we play the rest of the fight out anyway and finish the dungeon because Clemency has no right being as good of a heal as it is.

I should note that the healer wasn't lagging or even once had a DC icon over their status. They just straight up closed the game.
Requiescating just for Clemency instead of the usual Holy Spirit into Confiteor combo is an experience.

Oh when a healer dies or DCs its more than understandable

But id say if you do it when a healer is still alive but doing shit heals is like rubbing salt in a wound

Hard agree on all of this. More than a few times playing as a PLD I've had to take over for the healer as they've died and wouldn't you know it, there was barely any trouble at all. If you get carried by a paladin clemency healing the party it's time to consider upping your game .. or at least just commending the paladin.

If someone's so fragile they'll get mad you used a safety cooldown then they're projecting hard. Especially in a PUG, its a good policy to assume your group-mates are dumb as posts until proven otherwise.

Honestly I'd be happy if a tank showed initiative like that. Means I can actually relax instead of treating the tank as a retard that needs to be babysat with GCD heals because he doesn't know what a tank CD is.

I've done that when I had to and have had healers sperg out on me telling me that healing is not my job. I disregard their complaints.

Speaking of sperging out, ended up in a party of smoothbrains in Amdapor Keep that just rush ahead and pulling everything insight, even the ones that are skippable.

Which I end up going "I dunno if I've gone crazy that I've ended up in a party loaded with smoothbrains", which they had to go retard and go "y mad bro" while still doing the same shit which I'm just "Nope, fuck y'all. Bye." while they're about close to a wipe. If they're gonna play stupid games, let them win stupid prizes. Double points on irony that it was the LOLgoon doing the rushing.

I don't get why they'd pull all the trash but when it comes to Amdapor its pretty regular to pull a shitload since its 'wall to wall' is titanically massive. It was made before SE realized that if you don't wall players off from pulling a 10th of the dungeon in one go they will absolutely try to do it. Also if you're wearing Ironworks your gear will utterly crush it, so its easy.

Pulling every single one I don't get, maybe they were hoping for EXP? Could've just asked to clear it it all but apparently that's hard for people.

Talking is hard and scary.

But then again, talking usually results in someone acting like an absolute dumb cunt over a simple question as well. I'm reminded of the times where I've leveled a DPS and politely asked if we could wait for seedlings to spawn in AV, only to be met with "there's no difference in the XP gain", for instance.

There's a dramatic fucking difference and probably even more so now that 1-50 leveling is the fastest it's ever been. But I'm not gonna say a damn word about it anymore because AV has historically been too miserable for people to suffer it any longer than they have to for... some reason.

Best thing about trusts is that you can always shut down these people who want to experience (almost all) of the 80 dungeons with "Just do it with trusts if you want to go at your own pace".

The moment you q into DF people just need to know that they're all doing it for a daily bonus, just get it done quick, and be surprised when you finish a dungeon in less then 15 minutes.

Oh boy, it's another "DF Machinist Reassemble-Drill's a mob while I'm still pulling " episode...

Aggro management is braindead in this game and people still somehow manage to fuck it up.

Definitely can crush it easy w/ one hand tied behind my back, but gotta make sure my heal's all squared away before doing any big pulls and if not, then give the common courtesy to slow down some. Not every healers not exactly got the rhythm of handling the big pulls or stuck on auto-pilot on DPS'ing hard.

Nothing. No communication, no warning, just said "hi" and then it's was straight up off to the races without warning while I was checking on team comp. They were only talkative only when trying to shit talk. Plus the healer was wearing crafted lvl. 54 HQ regular gear, so I was a bit of suspicious on if they could handle it or not.

EDIT: Server tasing itself is really not letting me post this. Oy vey xD

That's a real shit combination, deathly silent and in what is essentially a bunch've rags. Getting those party members is.. just a bad time. I wish they'd go back to make the ilevel requirements for some of the ARR dungeons more reasonable but c'est la vie.
