To be completely honest, I was also dreading the looming Asmontide as he decided to give XIV a try, but seeing how he's managing to expose and filter the absolute fucking cancer that's been infesting the playerbase for years, I've since become surprisingly optimistic about his presence in the game.
He doesn't even have to do fucking anything but play the game and enjoy it for these disease-brained shut-ins to start frothing at the mouth.
I hope his presence continues bringing some much needed chemotherapy to the game's social aspect.

I'm super glad Asmon is actually trying the game because for so many people the game is a safe space, and now they're viewing him as like some kind of outside invader, when all he wants to do is just play the game.
It was eventual that another big personality would start playing the game on this level, hell Muta(Someordinarygamers) started playing it like last month and he also enjoys it. Fact is if you let people alone and they enjoy the game, great, if they don't it's not your fucking business to impede the dude or enter fight or flight mode. Just respect their decision and you'll be shocked to see that nothing will change.
Seeing these people freaking out like he's the next coming of Satan is incredible when you watch his vids and he's just being polite in them and is goofing around. Hell I think he cares more about the ARR story then I do lmao.

That's the best part. Their endless screeching while Asmon's just fucking off on his own only makes them look stupid.
Why did they think SE was going to side with them anyway? Ignoring Japan's stances on gender politics, you have an American streamer with an average audience of 90k+ a stream, with a potential to bring in several thousand more subs bare minimum, all versus a couple thousand dumpy shits who are mad he said words that are currently mean and bad to say a number of years ago.
I hope they keep (metaphorically) shitting themselves in public over this. It makes cancel and whatever other "communities" these people identify under look stupid, which is only a good thing.

The red arrow is the day Asmon started streaming it.
The point marked "A" is Shadowbringers launch. The previous high point of people concurrently playing through steam. We're currently beating it in our pre-expansion content drought thanks to Asmongold. Eat shit trannies.

That's great and all, but I feel bad for all the potential newfags getting into the game through the Steam version.
People who streamsnipe Asmon are also getting banned as well. I don't think this is going to do anything, especially since the dude pulls 100k+ viewers per stream and a good chunk of them are going to try and be in the same dungeons and instances as Asmon.
