No can do. For the last couple of days, there's been this one guy who has been stalking the market boards, constantly undercutting by ridiculous amounts. As I type this, they just dropped below 7k gil and will probably drop lower tomorrow. To be fair, it was a miracle that it costed this much considering you can just buy it from the estate maidservant for 3000 gil. I'm just gonna give up and go back to selling quest fish which are more reliable and not as susceptible to heavy fluctuations.

Also above all, I do not want to give this undercutting faggot any money.

WoW players in FFXIV destroys the illusion that a lot of FFXIV players have built up for no reason over years - that they're somehow different from WoW players. There are a lot of FFXIV players who genuinely believe that it's an entirely different community and not already made up of a gigantic portion of people who play or played World of Warcraft.

This is despite, of course, the following.
- The FFXIV dev team (lead dev heavily included) are WoW fans. Part of the game's "how do we unfuck FFXIV 1.0" homework was making the dev team play current WoW.
- A lot of game decisions, design, etc, being influenced by WoW.
- All of the "big" (for FFXIV, anyhow) community members are all former or current WoW players (Zepla, Annie, W2G, basically anyone).

Asmongold is just the newest version of it - he's basically the absolute biggest streamer WoW (and most of Twitch) has ever seen. His FFXIV stream was the most popular FFXIV stream ever - even bigger than the FFXIV offical fan fests AND more popular than every streamer combined on Shadowbringers Launch day.

People like the illusion that FFXIV is it's own community that in no way came from WoW (even though WoW isn't it's own community and was made up of UO and EQ players).

It's not stream sniping, it's just harassment. Just because you know where someone is playing doesn't mean you can follow them around and trying to block them from playing the game with a giant mount, by wiping out lowbie mobs, or by spamming annoying sounds for 4+ hours straight.

You aren't allowed to be a gigantic asshole in FFXIV to anyone - streamers included.

I play on Cactuar as well and I haven't really had any problems whatsoever in the last week while playing. Only people who he might've caused minor inconveniences to are social shitters who lurk all day around Limsa Lominsa and use the game as a chatroom simulator. Asmon's own experience hasn't even been too horrible since he got taught how to use the Busy status and how to turn off names. And that's not to mention the fact that XIV GMs have always been in the habit of gaoling, suspending, or outright banning relatively minor offenses if those offenses are presented in the context of being somehow disruptive to another player's experience. Such cases have even been previously brought up in this very thread. Why would they suddenly make an exception in this case?

How dare SE want a NA streamer with a gigantic audience that can drown them with subs to have a good time and attempt to give the impression they can GM for shit? Also, every FFXIV streamer I've watched for longer than five minutes has their server in their title or a chat command. Since when is a streamer attempting to interact with their audience a bad thing?
