I used to enjoy crafting a lot, but I'm burned out on it, and waking up on the hour of servers opening to do patch crafting isn't good for my health.
What I find most sucks about this game is how a lot of the harder content is time gated. Doing the extreme trial or savage 3 months from now in PF is going to be horrible, and finding a competent static will be difficult. Game releases have a lot of stuff that interest me in the next few months, so there's that.
I must’ve either been in a party of dullards or I’ve unlocked ultra instinct because that normal Emerald fight was a first time breeze. It’s still a good fight, too. A good dance.
I'm okay with it in this case since it's just the end of the tier, and we're not getting anything new for like 4-5 months. So I'll take it as is. My only complaint is the cutscene leading in and the actual phase 2 boss just is so underwhelming to me. It's the mechanics that are really keeping me there with the music.
Also TPS got the world first kill, the mount itself is Eden

Normal Emerald is pretty fine. It's really just the mines I think that get people. The rest of the fight is very easy.
EX on the other hand once you hit Phase 2 is harder then fucking E9S to me. Mainly the three stabbing lines in the ground that go off in the order. It all seems the same to me imo. I went in tired as all fuck and we managed to hit enrage in a single lockout so hopefully I can get that done tonight.

I got phase 2 down incredibly quickly and my static managed to get through it quick too. It looks intimidating, but once you think it through, it's not that hard. There's about 3 patterns, and when Emerald does Split, either his top or bottom body remains.
If it's the bottom, you need to dodge out, then the move for swords will always be middle (The last set that comes down) -> one corner (The first set that comes down, second is a tight dodge).
If it's the top, he'll raze half the arena, then it's a corner (3rd set again) -> center move (First set). Make sure to pop knockback immunity after the swords come down.
When he doesn't do split (when phase 2 begins), it's going to be either of those patterns, or it's going to be two big X sword patterns and one cross pattern. In the case of the latter, you want to stand on one of the horizontal lines on the edges that doesn't intersect the Xs and then move in. Here is a paint picture I made:
Just make sure to pay attention to where the 3rd and 2nd swords come down. The sword groups are always left side, right side, and middle.
That part isn't too bad. You have to move left or right twice, then dodge the cannons on the side. Just look at the Gaiuses, line up with the first empty spot, then line up with a cannon that is #4 or #5. #4 you have to dodge out of the explosions earlier, but if you can be in front, you don't need to memorize the empty Gaius spots since you see him easily.
I really hate G'raha Tia. He's forced in at every moment, reminding us all that he is obsessed with the WoL and extends the cutscene by doing his hand rubbing with his ears going down. As soon as the MSQ shifted over to another character half way through, it become a lot better.

Honestly I don’t get the whining about him from the anti crowd. Especially when you have Twitter users who hate the msq writer so much they joke about wanting to egg her house and want her to break her wrist simply because they don’t like the way she wrote a fictional cat boy.
I don't think any of us will go on her twitter to tell her we'll egg her house. She's done a lot of good for the story's writing, and it was kind of cute when she mentioned how she worked on the moment where Alisae flicks G'raha in the face. It just got really grating for me this MSQ.
People are bound to disagree on that though. I still enjoyed the MSQ.
As a fan of G'raha Tia, can't agree, since for those who really like this character, this is like a dream come true. I've seen people in game going nuts and hugging and caressing him in between cutscenes, so his increased presence is satisfying for at least a small portion of players.
Considering Alisae also pines for WoL, or at least some of her behavior can be interpreted as such, it isn't even the first time in FFXIV. And also explains their rivalry.

I see what you mean, don’t worry I am not implying you guys would do anything. My response was mostly a knee jerk reaction from some of the really gross things I see people say on Twitter. Saw someone who really despises Graha say Isihkawa should “buy a dildo and leave everyone out of her wet dream.” I’m personally neutral on Graha, it’s just fascinating seeing people on Twitter either want to bang the guy or kill him.
I was more interested in Alisae’s and Merlwyb’s part in the plot than him. They were the stand outs of the patch.
There's a hatedom for him on Twitter? I just don't think he's that interesting and I'd be lying if I said the loons on Twitter didn't ruin the character a bit with their autistic obsession like they did with Emet-Selch. Could not go without someone wigging out when Emet was ever brought up on any social platform/Discord. Seeing people renaming themselves to "Emet-Selch cock sleeve" or "Graha Tia's haircomb @ patch 5.3" only further cemented my view everyone who plays 14 is insane.
With how the FFXIV account posts about Gaia and Ryne holding hands, and their community team being the diversity squad. I wouldn't put it past them to localize G'raha for Twitter retards.
The creator of the original blog series died this week due to cancer. As always, cancer sucks dick. What makes this more tragic is his dad was a survivor and now he outlived his own son.
