I've cleared savage fights while they were current, and know I can do them easily, I just don't have the time or energy to dedicate hours out of my week to raiding. Unless you're an ultimate raider or feel satisfaction getting BiS every few patches, there's zero reason to rush savage lmao
That's part of why I don't bother. Between work and family I don't have the time nor desire to get a static going for something that will just aggravate me in the end. I'm also cool with just watching vids on Youtube for the Savage fights/Ultimates so I can see what all the hubbub was about when they are current.

Well, it's nice to know that Chinese players of this stupid fucking game are just as disgustingly unhinged and mentally ill as the westerners who play.

TLDW: The guy who organized the world first race gets shit from Chinese players because he declared a non streaming group as the victors. Queue the shitting and pissing of the chinese players who both wanted another team to win and those that are shitting and pissing because he didn't make a rule or specify that non streaming teams could and were participating. Xeems just goes over the tweets these nut jobs were making toward this guy who is called Frosty and goes over the process that was taken to organize the race and determining the winner. Xeems takes Frosty's side on this and says the people angry at him for counting non streaming teams in the race shouldn't be mad since he never said he was doing a stream only race and should've expected that non streaming teams would be competing. Once again without fail, a drama mars an ultimate release, just proving the point that the people who play this game are colossal retards who can't comport themselves like adults. Doesn't matter if you're american, chinese, japanese, korean. Anyone who plays this game is a fucking braindead, mouthbreathing moron, me included. It should be noted that the team that ended up winning, Grind, was the same team that won the FRU race and were the center of the red dot controversy. So, most likely, they just cheated their way to victory anyway to absolutely no one's surprise.

By the way, Xeems posted a video going over his ban, why he was banned and the people who celebrated it but I didn't mention it because I didn't feel like it was worth it since it's basically the same tired song and dance that we're already well acquainted with at this point.

ADDENDUM: Ough, fuck, I just realized that I should've posted this in the community thread instead of this one....oh well.

From experience so far, some levelling dungeons have some really shit wall to walls, Stone Vigil, Dzemael, and Aurum Vale all have some nasty ones at certain points where I don't even try those certain wall to walls unless it's a good team composition and the Healer looks good.
Stone Vigil and Aurum Vale allow you to pull the mobs into the boss and now you got a real good gumbo goin'

Dzemael probably does as well but there are too many gimmicks in that dungeon to really do that.

I've done it with SV, might be possible with post-nerf AV.

Dzeamael is hard blocked with the ahriman. You'd have to do the magitek locks and now in the revamped version you have to wait until everything is dead before you can proceed.

You can do it on the second and last bosses, but most people aren't on the ball enough to handle a full pull in the second hallway (even though it's been dumbed down significantly) and you're only really dragging 5 mobs in with the final boss.

I do love doing Tam Tara straight to the boss, though.

Honestly finding Dark Knight very fun. Got the level 60 job quest gear + IL 255 accessories from Ishgard market now, might keep with Dark Knight until Stormblood (where it'll probably end up level 70 by then) before swapping to another job for Stormblood, probably Samurai since that's already level 61.

I should catch up on the Hildebrand quests too, thinking about it.

I won't lie, I think the Hildy quests are some of the most fun questlines in the game. Lots of over the top humor, fun trials. Though I *am* pissed that Greg didn't come back for the DT ones. We quite literally have A BIG BRIDGE and it would have been so perfect. :(

Kate and Hiroi didn't plan on that because Greg's not Mexican enough. I feel robbed since we could have had him badly disguised in a poncho and sombrero.

Also, I'm dumb and didn't realise CWLS are invite only, so the Formerly Chuck's CWLS is over, and in its place is the brand new Formerly Chuck's Fellowship. If you're playing on Aether and you find it difficult to sneed as the jannies lean on your neck, feel free to join, you wont regret it
Late to the party, but do we still have a that? I hop DCs and I wouldn't mind joining an Aether one for roulettes or mid-level content (Northern Empty, Pilgrim's Traverse).

iirc it's probably not around since a lot of us are spread throughout different DCs and our schedules are so all over the place that the likelihood of us being able to get together to do group content would be pretty low.
Lot of us are adults with families and jobs.
We'd have better luck if we made a discord server instead of something in game if people really wanna make it happen.
But a lot of us don't really care and some of us aren't actively playing as well.
Just from this thread alone, only a handful of us are actually playing the game still while most are just commenting on what they see and hear.

I'll have to double-check, it should still be available to join if I open up invites again. We only had 3 people and I'm an EU player so my character was still in ARR, and I was only logging on rarely. My plan was to share it again in the thread in the leadup to Evercold, when more people will be hopping back on. If anyone on Aether wants to run it instead then feel free.

They're adding in cross-DC parties, so I'm assuming things like Fellowships and CWLS will also be cross-DC. The chance of organising full content is low but it'd probably be fine for what @kestewin suggested ie just grabbing a fellow chud to run roulettes with. That's what a lot of groups in this game are anyway. As for not a lot of people being in the game, again, the thread was decently active around the Anaheim Fanfest so I'll share it again around the October Fanfest in and see how it goes.

This picture but more arms and swords.

Sounds good. I just figured if people were around we could skip shitty pugs.

Yeah I want to revisit the ShB dungeons so much and especially see what it’s like now that we got rid of all the light.
Sadly this wouldn't work:
Holmister Switch would just be a town.
Dohn Mheg would be the same
The Qitana Ravel would have more bungirl's exploring the ruins but would end up stepping on Tender Valleys toes
Malikah's Well would just be a mine full of people digging shit up.
Mt Gulg would have zero threats and just be a walk to the end.
And Amarot would be the same.

I wish leveling secondary jobs to max was WoW style 10 hours max. Nigger I am at end game I just wanna play a new job I don't want to spend 40 hours in a dps queue just for different dps effects.

These cuck fuck nips put in a $50 'just level me now' option and that's why they'll never fix their dog shit leveling.

Amaourot I couldn't see every going to again since Emet is gone. As for the others you could easy just set it up that there are lingering Sineaters, Voidsent slipping into the world, or even groups that are taking advantage of the peace caused by the Flood being stopped to start fucking around (bandits/warlords/Children of the Everlasting Night).

Hell they could tie into the Solstice and have enemies from other Shards showing up to harvest resources from the First (whether it be physical or ethereal).

Amaourot is still around, they even mention in the ending narration of SHB that it would take thousands of years to fade away, I have to assume that, that also means the dungeon is just sort of there behind a random ass door.

You don't get to the version of amaurot that's on fire until you step through emet-selch's special flame portal. And like you said, the intact city canonically still exists and remains mostly untouched afterwards since you visit it several times during the content patch MSQ. Remember, at the very end when Emet-Selch dies, you see the entire city completely burned down, with all the skyscrapers reduced to tilted support beams. And then back in overworld-Amaurot, it's all intact again.
My understanding has always been that the dungeon and the trial take place in some kind of pocket dimension that he specifically shaped so that its destruction lines up with the warrior of light passing through. Either that or the 'realm' it takes place in was never entirely real and a lot of the events outside of the final fight were a fever dream conjured by Hades.

The G'raha Tia Nendoroid is out and he beat the race horses in popularity for preorder purchases on Amiami. I always like watching the amiami rankings because once a character popular with women is released, women open their wallets quickly. Similar to Zhongli for Genshin Impact and all the Love and Deepspace lads.

The original Amaurot does not exist anymore. Pieces of Amaurot and the ancient world still exist in the first, potentially in other shards but the Source as well like the Akadaemia aynder, (endwalker spoilers) Pandaemonium, the moon watcher and namingways, and Anamnesis aynder.

The Amaurot we witness burning is a magicked sequence created by Emet Selch simply to show us what happened. It seemingly bends reality as you head into outer space by the final boss, being physically tangible to some bizarre extent and having an environment capable of killing visitors as evidences by the singed Exarch.

The explorable "Phantom" Amaurot that exists in the First shard's Tempest is a recreation from Emet Selch's memories as he is still able to perform Creation magic as an Ancient. Everyone there is a recreation based on Emet Selch's memories and interpretations, including Phantom Hythlodaeus. Phantoms exist independently. All those people are already dead and likely receuperating in the aetherial sea or reincarnated somewhere.

Endwalker spoilers As an aside, the real Hythlodaeus was on the moon of the Source for the past thousands of years and was allowed to pass on to the aetherial sea after being released from the seal of Zodiark. What kind of bothers me is how we have the potential for complete souls moseying about, reincarnating as their immensely powerful Ancient selves capable of Creation magic. For some reason, the plot never addresses this.

Will they be born as their complete souls and take the shape of the tall ancients? Will they be born small like the fragmented soul people? Maybe there will be a future sequel game? Maybe the namingways will kidnap the reincarnated at birth and bring them to the moon? Maybe those individuals who were used in the ritual of Zodiark are just gone forever as their entity is spent after supporting a primal.
