While that might help with that, playing on a different language voice acting with English subtitles makes me realize how bad and childish the English translation for this expansion is. I am really debating switching entirely to German rather than only the voice acting. It really is weird that the english translation makes the story seem even more childish than it already is.
Syrcus can be cleared in under ten minutes if people are paying attention so I assume that's why. People also unlock Dun Scaith since it gives 50% more bonus exp for your daily than all the others for some reason (unless they fixed that at some point, I haven't checked recently.)
Really though the Nier raids are the only ones that drag on forever. If your main goal is to hit cap on every job it's probably worth leaving them locked.
So this morning husband and I both cleared the Garuda fight. It's gotta be my favorite boss so far- Maybe the only one that's been a genuine challenge to run healer through. Loved having to actually be tight with my timings; Ifrit and Titan were total jokes to get past so I was worried that Garuda would be boring too. Hope to see more of that now that we're a teeny bit further in.
My question is; Are we still in ARR? Or have we crossed into HW storyline? I kind of expected the Garuda cutscenes to be an end of expansion thing, but neither of us saw any indication that we've entered the next part. Does it not play the opening movies or show anything when you go between expansions? It's not a huge deal, I just kind of like knowing where we sit in the campaign!
MSQ has gotten pretty cool. People were right when they said it starts slow but gets interesting later in. Looking forward to playing more. I'm having a fun time with the game, and enjoying the background lore a lot more than I expected I would. Kind of scared to eventually have my heart broken when we reach the shitshow that is DT's writing now that I'm feeling invested.
When an expansion (or the base game) ends you get a credits roll, once you finish ARR you will enter a 100ish quest post-ARR bridge to Heavensward that continues the story (ARR being 2.0, these are the quests from 2.1 to 2.55).
Personal recommendation, once you get the credits roll for ARR, start the crystal tower alliance raid quest immediately after and try to finish the three raids it makes you run while you chug along the post-ARR quests, if you don't the game will quite literally lock your MSQ until you finish them, and will do so on the climax of post-ARR which is quite possibly the biggest story blue-balling you could experience in this game.
I'm not exaggerating the blue-balling one bit, I had a friend quit in frustration to it.
You have 20 or so quests left to go I think before you see the end credits for ARR and get into the post-release patch content. And then after that is Heavensward.
The ARR post-patch stuff actually got kinda mangled since they shortened it, but it should be pretty obvious when Heavensward stuff actually starts.

Thanks a ton for the warning, because that is 100% something that'd piss me off. Just hope I can find good groups for them. Really regretting being on Crystal lately when I've tried to run stuff with randoms.

CT raids are super prevalent in roulettes and you'll get overgeared lv 100s that will absolutely destroy everything in it, just be aware they will rush the dungeons along.
The raid quests do have a fairly alright story (and quite a lot of allagan lore iirc) so you can enjoy that in between runs.
I have truly underestimated how useful deliveries are for lifestyle leveling. If only the beast tribes were as generous with EXP I wouldn't forget they exist
It's still showing as mixed at 40% in postive after checking just now. Did some faggots go in in the last few hours and give it some positive reviews to put it back up to mixed?
