So hey, is JoCat's troon charity stunt thing still ongoing? I kind of don't want to look into it and see how much he's raised thus far since I've officially burned all of my past respect for his works. Fools and their gil are easily parted.

Took the plunge and checked it out, dude's raised about 35.000.00 out of the 100.000.00 goal so far. (Think it's fake anyway)

It's still going on but I doubt he's made any real progress.

>finally find a raid group with cool people thanks to a mutual friend
At last, I may do hard content again. Using the PF alone is pure pain.

You guys are getting what you're asking for... obligatory, he's trooning out.

I watched his crap guide videos on Monster Hunter world back when they were being released. Four years ago, I wouldn't have predicted this gradual transition to trannydom. Then again, his propensity for using Kirin chaps may have been a clue all along. Maybe it wasn't that he just wanted to make his character look goofy as fuck all along...

I've been lurking this thread for the past few weeks because I wanted to know how Endwalker was. I was considering buying the expansion and continuing where I left off but the Jocat derailment has had me mesmerized.

Endwalker's good. There are parts where it drags a fair bit (according to some, never as egregiously as Stormblood did though), but its high moments are absolute peak kino and it does, more or less, wrap up just about every single plot point that's been ongoing since 1.0. It is very much the end of a long-running story, and everything after the main story has been the start of a new story/recovery efforts from the aftermath of Endwalker.

I finally reached the Sworn rank up quest for the Loporrits last night, and I wasn't expecting these dumb if slightly adorable meme rabbits to punch me in the feels like that. In a good way, mind – just like every other "reconstruction after the Final Days" story beat's been like – but still.

Gameplay wise? Honestly it is pretty much roughly where Shadowbringers was, the MSQ got some decent tweaks that are a decent boost to immersion if you can jive with what's going on, or they're a complete waste of time if you don't give a single shit, so little bit mixed. Otherwise the general content cycle is exactly the same.

Story wise? I put 6.0 it around Heavensward 3.0, somewhere below usually because it has some jump the shark moments that while I can live with it doesn't feel nearly as cleanly done as Shadowbringers or Heavensward. It isn't nearly as fucked as Stormblood was where it just fucks everything it was setting up, but their are a good amount of moments you'll likely need to just roll with to continue on. Pretend that you're playing a X.0-X.3 amount of MSQ content in one shot, that's about how long the MSQ was. It took me roughly 50-60 hours to complete 6.0, Shadowbringers 5.0 took me I think 40-50 iirc. It is a very long stretch and you may or may not agree with everything that happens, but to say it isn't an overall conclusion would be false.

It doesn't try to have some retarded cliffhanger, it is well and truly an ending. Most the major questions and plot elements are done with, we are truly done with almost everything you probably remember from last time that needed to be answered and wrapped up by 5.55.

Some stuff goes on too long, some don't go on long enough. It is a weird time. I'm fine enough with how it ended, I wouldn't say I'm disappointed even if I disagree with a handful of choices they made.

During that entire last scene I wish I knew how to edit videos just to paste dear leaders face onto that rabbit and replace the text with some of his best quotes.

Finally came back after a break to finish getting all my jobs to 90. I technically started in shadowbringers, but only finished the msq like a week before EW came out. Is it expected that they'll release another tier of level 90 crafted gear, or is what's out now what we got? I looked at the gearsets from shadowbringer and it looks the trend would be another set of crafted battle gear and another set of token crafting/gathering gear, but not sure.

Asking because not sure if it's worth investing now or not, since it will be a good moment before I get everyone to max.

There would most likely be a third set to coincide with the eventual third raid tier, yes.

Edit to avoid doubleposting:

A friend linked me this and I am reminded of how RP fags (and potentially modders, given how much overlap there is between the two parties) hyperfocus on "aesthetic" over all sense of practicality:

How the fuck do you expect anyone to actually read the details on your reference sheet when you make the colors and font of all the text blend in with the background?

This reference sheet: "Here's my adventure outfit, you can't see the back of it"

This thing is garbage even without the shitty background and over complicated font. You pretty much need a front, side, and back shot especially with kind of complicated clothes to make this useful and because this is Square Enix all clothing is somewhat complicated with little intricate details. I don't even fully know the back of their hair because it is being blocked by the body. Fucking moron.

I also can't particularly see the weapons too well, but my eyes aren't the best. I also can't read their little backstory blurb properly even fully zoomed in because the font and background are so fucked. This thing actually hurts my eyes.

The basic bit I can gather, because I can't read some words properly, is she was some rando in the Sharlayan mainland who's mother died, father became a criminal, and some scholar family adopted her to ensure her future prospects were bright. People bullied her because of this, for some reason, but she's just oh so strong so she just toughed through it all through school. Also she likes alchemy, Arcanist stuff, and wants to adventure beyond Sharlayan.

10/10 character, so stronk and brave. I'd have preferred it if her character was just weak and fucked off from her studies midway because she got bullied, that's at least be a character arc. That'd be...a character at all actually. I'm not even sure if this backstory even makes that much sense, but whatever I think I thought about this backstory more then they did anyway.

I just glanced at it, couldn't really read it at a passing glance – which is already a massive design sin – and, looking at it closer this time, while I can see the weapons alright, trying to focus on any particular thing upon this sheet is causing me a noticeable bit of eye strain myself.

This is less "reference sheet" and more "RP profile", especially since they fail at providing the angles necessary for an actual reference sheet. But they also fail at presenting an RP profile because a lot of the text is either illegible or incredibly difficult to read due to the color, font, and font sizing choices.

A lot of RP fags have been getting this retarded over time, or so I've been shown more and more lately.

It looks more like a model advertisement for Second Life. Nothing about this screams RP profile sheet. It's not even an aesthetically pleasing design; the makeup effects make her look more doll like and emotionless than beautiful and her "adventuring" outfit is impractical just on the basis of design (she looks more like a caricature of a church woman from WoW than an adventurer).
