Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

Doesn't Minfilia count?
Half she was effectively in limbo since 3.2 and especially after 3.4 as their was no real way to bring her back. It was too foreseeable, especially with where the plot was going by the time they finally died. FFXIV's problem is it uses fake death for shock value, then undoes it sometimes literally minutes later. See the resident dad of the Scions for example, especially if you think through that fake death scene on a meta level with the trust system.

I took a week off around the 19th, I cant move it as my family are expecting me to visit that vacation as well.
Eh it sucks, but atleast we dont run into bugs on launch and i have full trust that they'll do what is best.

Also is nobody going to talk about what the fuck that earscan tech is?
Are they gonna MKultra us when we send in our earscans and log into the game?

So unfortunately I didn't get a chance to archive the vid since it went down so fast, but Xenosys Vex in his newest video about the ToS updates flat out admitted to paying real money to crafters in order to get raid gear day one. He's since deleted the original and reuploaded it with his admission about RMT being scrubbed.

I'm seeing a lot of comments bring this up in the new upload, wish I caught the original as it showed up in my feed this morning and I just didn't bother to look at it because it looked boring as hell.

WF/Day one raiders pay crafters real money because gil is worthless. They're not going to take time off work to craft for raiders to go raid.

Here's a notorious raider being a spastic retard on Twitter:

"Terrifying". Some of the replies are something else.

This just reaffirms my thinking that FF14 players are spoiled. Shadowlands got delayed by a full month and I swear I didn't see even a fraction of the melties I'm seeing with Endwalker being delayed.
Here's another one I found today, this is one of the people who cleared TEA World First:

There's some serious logic at play here:
  • We need to bring up non-fungible tokens that have nothing to do with Endwalker's release, because NFTs bad.
  • clees is just "one shrine maiden".
  • clees' statement wasn't inflammatory or retarded in any way, it was just "not putting yoshiP on a pedestal".
  • Not only was he "naive", implying that the other people are double-faced, but if progressives don't agree with his raider opinions, they're not progressives
  • Square Enix is, in fact, a corporation. Corporations are always bad.
Then he says that a bunch of people at Square Enix gave up a lot to make this game happen, so they should be subject to spastic raiders never being happy with anything:

Not gonna argue that it does suck for people who took time off to play the expansion, but these raiders show arrogance and entitlement on a whole other level.

Jesus faggots, just play some other game in that extra weeks Yoshi gave you. Why are you writing screeds like these?

They should just push back the Ultimate to 6.3 to really fuck with these troons.

Yoshi-P does have a near literal cult around him, which I find funny considering Yoshi-P's entire story with this game is undoing the work created through arrogance. Now let's remember that moral and suck his cock at every single opportunity, just to make sure he knows that he's done literally nothing wrong ever since he started working on FFXIV. If Yoshi-P had his head firmly up his ass, he'd be completely arrogant after this many people gargling his balls and we'd probably have Japanese Blizzard.

He even admits that the delay is his fault due to him being in charge, and he fully understands the whole scheduling conflicts he has created for people now. Why do we need to take that sincerity away from him? It isn't like that'll just suddenly make him not feel bad, if anything I'd probably feel worse if I were in his position.

At the same time I've seen people have "I literally want to quit this game after this delay, Yoshi P killed 2021 for me" tier takes which you know what, fuck off. That means one less fuckwad getting in the way of me logging in. I understand people being upset, but this in the end is a fucking video game so calm the fuck down. Gamers complain about games being rushed and bad, then they complain games take too long to come out. If anything kills the gaming industry after corporate ignorance and retarded pretentious "creators", it'd be gamers themselves for having as much consistency as a schizophernic.

Me and a friend were having a discussion about this yesterday actually. Its very interesting how a Japanese studio goes as far as to apologize for not having a product up to par or delayed yet I don't think I've ever seen a single apology from Blizzard since I started playing in 05. Do you think this is a cultural thing? I think maybe to companies like blizzard that apologizing/admitting to making a mistake is a sign of weakness, don't know if it carries over to all western studios though.

Also what's the most time efficient way to farm poetics? I need a lot.

Yeah, Burger King chat was full of Mentors throwing tantrums today.

I recall that there was a lot of things done/said by the devs back when WoW first launched because the servers got rocked. I think I got 2 months of sub time plus a full bar of rested XP if I remember right.

I have seen western companies apologize, but it is so much more "controlled" I suppose would be the right term. It is all these long posts where they talk like a robot, like they have a gun to their head to ensure they don't somehow fuck it up. I don't think I've seen genuine tears though, unless it involves death or something extremely serious. I remember during the No Clip documentary, Koji (a EN localization guy) mentioned that in JP you say sorry a lot as a normal cultural thing for your failures, but in the west saying sorry endlessly can come off as insincere so they had to very carefully write their 1.0 apology statement back then.

Regarding poetics, Eureka is pretty alright if you want the relic weapons or armor by any chance, if you get a solid fate train in a Eureka instance you'll progress and gain poetics fast. Roulettes are generally the best way I think, especially if you get a new person due to the bonus poetics in most content. If you're leveling something above 50, go ahead and hop into MSQ roulette as that 300 poetics and exp adds up fast, plus you get the moogle tomestones. The true fastest is probably some sort of blue mage cheese though due to how broken Blu is in dungeons, but you need a premade for that.

Apparently Alisae was called a waifu on the live letter and people are shitting themselves in rage. Now you have community members turning on the dev team.

EDIT: So apparently the whole deal is that Yoshi P said in the live letter “I know some of you call Alisae your waifu” and people are twisting his words to make it like sound like he said he thinks Alisae is sexy waifu material.

Yo, are they getting a good resolution with that projection?

You have to remember, Blizzard's player base is manic. Every change to any character, class, or mechanic in any game is the worst thing the company has ever done. They've never apologized because it's a waste of oxygen. That being said, they've deserved to get their asses chewed out incessantly since at least the "nine months of no content in WoTLK" trashfire.

sounds like some people are out for blood whether it makes sense or not:

I know I did a bit of doomposting a page or so back, comparing this delay to CP2077, but a friend of mine pointed out to me that one delay right near the end is not the same as 3-4 delays knocking it back a year or two.

Edit: Regarding alphinaud, it's... possible. Thancred and graha are the least likely to die, while Urianger and Alphinaud are the most at risk.

The trust system almost has enough characters for an 8 man trial, with the standard layout. With Estinien joining, we have 7 characters and ourself, and Graha's flex role helps out a lot.

Right now, if you were a tank, with these seven characters:
You and Thancred would tank
Estinien, Y'shtola, Graha and Alisaie would dps
Alphinaud and Urianger would heal.

If you were dps:
Graha and Thancred would tank
You, estinien, y'shtola, and Alisaie would dps
Alphinaud and Urianger would heal.

If you were heal:
Graha and Thancred would tank
Alisaie, Estinien,Y'shtola would dps,
and Either Alphinaud or Urianger would assist you.
Obviously, this leaves an extra slot, that would have to be filled by someone (Gosetsu? That might sound random, but I've always thought there was a lot of parallels between him and estinien, and he's a wandering free agent. In addition, Endwalker's general path would have been decided during Stormblood, if they followed the two-expansions-ahead rule.), and more notably, leaves an extra healer in the mix.
