Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

What can I say? I'm the full package. I can sperg about raiding and story without skipping a beat. You haven't even seen my final form where I can sperg about Drk's storyline long enough to make a collage essay, so don't tempt me.
Hey, Zeke, what do you think about Dark Knight's storyline? :semperfidelis:

Fray was kind of dumb. they came up with this concept of drk being powered by emo magic and then didn't really put strong effort into developing it. the original quest series, much like the class itself, is a lamer version of warrior. Namaste.

(the real winner is the ShB tank quest series)

Man, I was a Warrior main up until SHB and Warrior's was the lamest shit.

You got a kind of cool setup with a lot of forewarning about the dangers of losing yourself to the Inner Beast, and then you have to defeat your own teacher because he succumbs to the Inner Beast, then Heavensward starts and you're just getting lore fluff about Warriors the whole time while surpassing your teacher even more because it turns out he's a little (big) bitch.

And then Stormblood comes along and it gets even more gay since you get a little Xaela girl who's having difficulties controlling and understanding her Inner Beast, meanwhile your teacher finally gets on your level (from one expansion ago) by learning to control HIS Inner Beast through the power of LOVE for the Xaela girl. And meanwhile, you're still becoming way stronger than either of them.

ShB's tank questline blew everything else outta the water. DRK, WAR, PLD and GNB storylines can get fucked.

I kind of like the idea of a questline for a role rather than quests for every single job. The game would get massively cluttered at that rate.

The whole thing, baby. AUGH YEAH

I'm just now typing about the level 50 capstone quest btw. I've been typing this off and on for a good while, re-reading a good bit of quest and journal text too.

The tank role quest is good, but Drk and Gnb's are pretty good and in Drk's case I'd say its better than the entire role quest due to everything it touches on. Gunbreaker's is cool because it touched on an aspect of the overall world that we don't really see talked about with Bozja, especially back when Gunbreaker first came out Bozja was a barely referenced part of the world.

The reason role quests exist, and SE effectively said this back when they announced these, is because

A: Some jobs just have too little to them to keep going anymore, Paladin and Warrior are great examples of this because by HW they felt really phoned in. I actually laughed with Curious Gorge said something to the effect of "GET BEHIND ME, MY INNER BEAST WILL PROTECT YOU" in the level 60 quest.

B: It was way too much effort to write questlines for every job every single expansion, so they just made role quests to consolidate the writing effort. You could really feel them stretching themselves thin by Stormblood.

I think every job needs at least one questline to itself though, the initial job quest lines usually add a lot of needed narrative context to explain the job's place in the overall world, its origin story, what it adds to the overall lore of the world, and where it came from. It is kind of a shame they have to stick them in ARR zones though, because it sort of limits what they can do sometimes. I would have loved as a veteran if Sage was unlocked in Old Sharlayan considering that is its native homeland.

Fray was cool as shit and your opinion is bad.

I mean, if we get some kind of combined Tank Role quest in which Jenlyns/Solkzagyl, Curious Gorge, Sidurgu, and Radovan are all involved and working together (which will probably have something to do with fighting the Telophoroi), then I'll be fucking ecstatic.

I'm still kind of chapped over how boring Paladin's and Warrior's Stormblood quests were, though. Literal tournament arc and Curious Gorge's lovequest.

I will always maintain Dark Knight's had the best fucking quests out of every Tank, especially in Stormblood.

SCH vs SAGE thingy, feels like Sage has upper hand due to looking more intuitive to play rather than janky of SCH. There's also being the new thing and Gundam/laser is very contending to old fantasy nerdy type.
But for me, I appreciate that Aetherflow change will you more MP now, ED doesn't so I can feel a bit more comfortable saving Aether for backup healing. I don't do high-end raiding, if I'm wrong, please do tell me.

I think the emo thingy, it may comes from official English translation, I feel it makes Fray kinda childish/teenage edgy vibe imo. The more faithful translation seems better.

Warrior quest, I like the goofiness Power of love. It could be that I only started doing those after I finished the whole ShB msq, so the change of pace feels nice.

I understand playing class specific questline should be about teaching your character becoming better/stronger from a mentor kind of deal. Since, you learn new abilities from the questline til like level 70.
But I don't mind the type because your character is already strong, so it becomes a learning experience between you and other NPCs, discussion about it, understanding your character potential/strength. Which leads to why my character should bother "hanging" with less cooler characters and I'm still better than all of them in the end.
Oh, I agree PLD questline is just eehh til the end. I main War, so there's my biased.

Someone just gave me this to show me how SE will identify the leaker as each "NDA" watermark is apparently uniquely designed for every specific person.

So whoever leaked is going to get fucked 100% because this radiates like the sun under the right light.
Isn't it rumored to be Rin Karigani?

Isn't it rumored to be Rin Karigani?
That's the rumor yes but the best way to prove who it is, if it is a streamer anyway, would be to try a similar trick as my screenshot with everyone who shows footage or screenshots from the media tour builds, as each NDA watermark is supposed to be unique for each specific person.

Whoever has the same NDA watermark would be the one responsible.

Might not be real but wouldn't surprise me of it was. These have been going around.Ver archivo adjunto 2607852Ver archivo adjunto 2607873
NDA means NDA. It doesn't mean you can share it with your buddies. You're still responsible if they "leak" your leaks.

Bongo is on Twitter saying these shots are fake, that people are trying to defame Rin (Rin is famous?).

Bongo's big concern is that they type like cavemen behind what I assume are secret Balance discord staff channels.

But he brags about how people recognize his @ everyone discord pings and types like a caveman in League of Legends chat:

Which is it?
The raidtroons can't even wait an extra two weeks to start theorycrafting their builds for content that won't be out until late December... smdh...
They've already optimized their best in slot and rotation... They're going to finish the content in 2-3 days and go back to crying that the game has no content.

I don't agree that SCH is dead
It'll still probably be one of the stronger healers around, and the added option to cheese or smooth with an extra sprint will if anything make it more in-demand among people who optimize shit overmuch. So far as performance, it wasn't bad through SHB at all - it's just a junkyard class with a bunch of random shit thrown into it.

More importantly, while it isn't like healers in general are terribly fun to play, it has so little to manage or pay attention to that outside of the most difficult content in the game, your main thing to do while playing is to try not to fall asleep. Optimization consists of trying to save DoT refreshes and energy drain weaves on Ruin II for movement thanks to broil's cast time being shit for weaves, using dissipation during phases you know you can spam broil as much as possible without the need for much passive healing, and using your absurd amount of oGCD healing skills to spend as little time doing anything but spamming broil. Like most healers, it only really becomes engaging when you have a group of drooling retards, and even then once you get familiar with their kit, they babysit really easily.
