Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

I think nearly every major boss in Ivalice's raid series (or at least, actual characters from Ivalice that show up as guests like Mustadio, Agrias, Yiazmat and Cid himself) has VA work. Pretty much the only raid to have any VA work (besides Eden, haven't done those raids yet), which is interesting since none of the actual cutscenes have any. Maybe it's just Yoshida is a fuckhuge Tactics fanboy, he's gone on record saying Tactics Ogre is one of his favorite games and he nabbed Matsuno (main scenario writer for the Ivalice setting) to write for Bozja just because it was Yoshida's boyhood dream to work with him, dude's a real nerd.

Ivalice is either the fucking worst if you're an insane person and only do it for Bozja, a fun exercise with more brainpower than Crystal Tower if you've never played or shown much interest in the Ivalice games, or for Tactics/Ivalice fans it's usually the best raid in the entire game. The mini Ramza and Ivalice gear is just icing on the cake.
Being a Tactics Ogre fan is the reason we got a bunch of glams from that game.
Eden has three voiced bosses, but that's because they're bosses based on story characters who have VAs already.

And speaking of raids, there have been uncomfirmed reports of melties from sfia and the Troons per Second crew because they didn't get invited to the media tour while Rich and Asmongold did. But it gets even better - stal, a member of the group that got world second on TEA, actually got invited over sfia as well.
What is this sfia person like? Are they a "rush to endgame" person? Did SE even invite one of those?

I'm surprised they're even inviting Stal after the meltdown she had. She's your typical virtual youtuber e-girl. They invite people that have some level of internet presence and probably aren't too toxic for the brand. Sfia's problem is with the latter, he would also get over-autistic with his view of the media tour.
I wouldn't say it's about how autistic Sfia is or he's a high functioning grifter, it's about how him and his group for TEA world first used the Paisley Park plug-in to move waymarkers in their world first video and streams with ACT and other third party tools on display. His little group ruined waymarkers for everyone that plays this game and it would not look good for Square Enix to invite someone like this to their Media Tour because it is a PR event. Same thing with grown adults who act like 12-year old brats like Xenosys and Arthars who shit talk the game non-stop, have autistic freak-outs on Twitter, and start harassment campaigns on people on their stream because someone did shit DPS in their party finder or over a twitter arguments. Both players have been temporary suspended so inviting those people would not look good.

It's hilarious watching the community try to gatekeep the WoW streamers who came in and literally made the game relevant on Twitch. Screaming about how they've only been with the game for a short amount of time as if that matters when they pull views that beat all the other FFXIV streamers combined and get half a million views on their YouTube videos in no time. People trying to pull shit on Asmongold from him saying something stupid or him saying "People who use pronouns in their profile are annoying people" somehow means he's unqualified to be a part of the Media Tour when he's the perfect person for it.

The amount of people who bitch about how they've streamed FFXIV for a long time and never get invited to a Media Tour are entitled morons who don't understand how content creation work. Streaming party finder, savage or ultimate all day is not interesting to watch. Why would I care about that one creep, Rin Karigani, talking about how he's cleared UCoB 400 times? Nobody gives a shit and it also sounds really bad when he tries to brag about it. This is NOT content people want to watch. What is it so hard for people to understand when it comes to content creation, you're going to have to learn skill sets to make your channel grow such as video editing, graphic design, interesting topics, and charisma instead of doing copying memes and changing them to fit FFXIV.

Her clear didn't involve Paisley Park or generate drama over addons. Also she's a ((lalafell)) so that obviously appeals to Yoshi-P...

Why is it that every person that runs around with <The Perfect Legend> title is absolute fucking shit? Some cat nigger with that title kept causing wipes in Ruby Ex of all places.
Clearing any hard content content in this game can give you a sense of unwarranted self-importance. With a good group that you can mesh with and enough time, most people can clear an Ultimate. People who do this often think that it makes them a gamer god who can do no wrong and can effortlessly clear any content.

That or they just bought a carry or pilot.

Typical raidtranny. Sfia is mad because WoW raidtrannies get treated like a legitimate e-sport with sponsorship deals and Blizzard devs sucking their feminine penises, and he really wants that for XIV. That's why he was helping Max so much - he's hoping that if enough high-profile raidloggers join the game then SE will finally bow down and give him what he wants.

I constantly suffer being reminded that, in spite of all the good he's done, Yoshida is still a filthy Lalafell lover and so much of a degenerate that he plays a female Lalafell himself, all while wearing Minfilia's clothing and hoping for the chest his character's potato body will never have.

Sfia was part of the main WF guild in NA Elysium and typically plays caster dps, they were part of WF prog from Alexander to early Eden iirc and he's still doing WF just under a different raid group. I don't know how attached he is to the main story, but I've literally never heard him talk about it so I assume he's the atypical raider min-maxer that doesn't care about the story.

Xenosys is also a rush to endgame guy, and he was in ShB's media tour iirc (I remember him specifically asking Yoshi-P to change Living Dead to be not shit). One of the tanks in Sfia's group, Layla Bell, was in the SB media tour as I remember him talking about media tour tanks 4 years ago. So I assume Sfia's drama with waymarkers just creates and awkward situation and frankly their are better people to pick nowadays then 2-4 years ago as they've invited hardcore raiders before. Hell even Mrhappy is a hardcore raider by this game's standards, as Happy used to also be into WF prog (same guild as Sfia) before it started to conflict with his streamer life as WF groups don't stream their progression for the sake of competition. I also vaguely remember Arthars being invited to the ShB media tour, but he literally couldn't afford the flight so that didn't happen.

People forget that Happy is a raider because he actually enjoys and talks about pretty much all of the non-raiding content, unlike the gremlins you typically see trotted out to represent the 'community.' Hell, he still progs hard enough to have PF strats named after him (like Happy Brambles for E9S last tier).

This just popped up in my Twitter feed. I wonder if we'll see any seething from the usual crowd over this, or if they'll realize it's for charity and shut the fuck up.

Hildibrand is both the best, bar none, content I've seen in an MMO while also being the most absolutely worthless thing to do.
I shamefully admit to clapping when Gilgamesh said the thing in the Battle in the Big Keep. Doing the HW Hildy stuff while I wait for DPS queues to pop is keeping me sane.

The clothline scene with Gigi was transcendental.
Without trying to sound like too much of a twitter faggot: This is one of many questlines where you're taken out of the hamster wheel MMO mindset and realize just how much the development team really cares about this game.

It's a throwaway sidequest that, if cheevo/minion percentages are to believed, very little of the playerbase has done or cares about. And yet you get a complete character arc, a major expansion to the worldbuilding, and an update to the game world itself to remind you that you've done it. FFXIV has a ton of problems from a gameplay perspective but goddamn does it have copious amounts of S O V L.

Another thing I like about Hildibrand is that they also add to the lore.

The Sil'dih story in the Monk quest turns out to be bullshit.
Ul'dah once cooperated with Beast Tribes.
A Primal could easily be summoned if you wished hard enough.
What could possibly be the earliest preview of creation magic before they even mention it.

A shame we didn't get one in ShB.
