no one kicks you in prae even for being afk unless the game itself does it, people just run and finish it without you

Slightly out of topic, but i remember a BRD shitter who was wierdly assblasted he got Castrum instead of Prae because of "exp is better" and baited people to kick him and DCed right at the start
He returns, stays at spawn and nobody requests a kick till Livia and he is yeeted
Really fucking autsitic and bizzare, fella had a lvl 74 or so BRD and literally every other job maxed

I've met a good number of people who will just eat a 30 minute timer if they don't get Prae, leveling a job or not. I'd rather get Prae because its almost wholly time spent watching something while waiting for Gaius to finish his umpteenth Atheist rant.

Castrum is still an almost equivalent, metric fuckload of XP and a faster run overall compared to Prae.
While I'm not too terribly surprised at this story, it once again makes me think that XIV attracts the strangest sort of fringe case spergs.

Unfortunately no, Union never makes sense the way it should. And 99% of the time your fae gauge will be capped, w/ Fey Blessing on cd, and there's not much you can do about it.
Tbh most of the kit never makes sense and feels like it's counteracting some other part of the kit. Aside from the outright bugs stemming from the shit pet AI, that's the biggest issue with the job: It isn't cohesive at all. It isn't bad numbers-wise. It's just so poorly designed.
That's why it's so frustrating to hear SE say "there's nothing we could do", after reworking smn for no reason at all.

Fey Union used to make sense in Stormblood when it was the captsone ability, and healed far more than it does now.
As it is now, it's just a Fey Gauge sink and not even a very good one at that, because anything you ask the fairy to do breaks it.

wierd, just had an ridorana (not orbonne, i had an an autism stroke) where the only hangup was Yiazmat's add sepratation phase, Alliance C's (my alliance, unfortunately) tank was an autistic sprout GNB that bundled up the adds and caused two wipes, he then DC=ed midway through the final attempt and we got it by pure miracle

It's funny how Ivalice raids still filters out shitters till this day.
By contrast I haven't seen anyone have trouble with Nier raids. (Aside from the third Bunker boss who people seem to have a photographic menory of the bomb patterns).

Not only does it do that but it's post nerf on nearly all of it to make it easier for people doing their weapon quests. I'm not terribly bothered by Orbonne anymore but that's because I'm just tired of doing Crystal Tower 4 out of 5 roulettes but yeah, you've gotta give explanations or be willing to boot idiots.

Not really, certain bosses just have one or two mechanics that are wierd but short, it throws off the usual mouthbreathers that you get in DF

Only the 3rd boss has anything with any depth, the rest have some quirky stuff (like picking up the shield or sword in the 2nd boss, or the snipe mechanic in the 1st one) but are otherwise just "pay the fuck attention". And most mouth breathers aren't going to pay attention to enough instructions to understand the 3rd boss and will just seek to bitch in chat about how the boss is unfair because it killed them (thunder god especially invokes this).
I just tried to explain the 3rd boss of Weeping City for about 4 wipes the other day, I literally said what to do like "when you see dice DON'T DO ANYTHING" and the tank just decided to keep doing his shitty rotation or side stepping around for no reason and my co healer also didn't get it and kept spamming stone 3 while I'm healing for them. People are retarded in 24 mans and newer players were probably too babied by CT being such a colossal faceroll.
Orbonne is awesome, will get thunder REKTED again Tactics/10
