I get what she's going through, but your BF is openly defying his parents' potential requests and personal beliefs. Isn't that enough? Isn't that showing you that in spite of his family's disapproval, he's willing to go all the way with you? If familial harmony is something you're looking for in a relationship, then your best bet is to leave, but if you want to be with that person your best bet is unfortunately begrudgingly accepting that fact. I also don't really understand why it's LIMSA FUCKING LOMINSA'S chat's business to listen to this. Take it to FC chat or whisper if you don't want people eavesdropping.

Honestly, I'd rather this than dead servers. And it's still better than the old 'anal [rend]' or Chuck Norris of the old days of WoW.
I kind of miss the days of /say chat on MMOs, instead of every fucking word being in whisper or guild/FC.
 
Is it just me or is the UI for Crafting kinda terrible? I swear I have to mass produce basic materials or else I have to navigate through multiple tabs to find a specific type of material for whatever I need ATM

If you're doing a big project, I recommend using FFXIV Teamcraft. You can put in a list of things you want to craft and it'll spit out a list of raw mats, precrafts (multiple stages) and final crafts all sorted by class. That way you can make all your alchemist precrafts in one go, then do your weaver etc.

The whole system is kind of a mess because the paradigm wasn't designed around everyone being an omnicrafter. By the time the meta evolved making it both possible and desirable to vertically integrate the entire crafting process on one character, the UX was kinda set in stone.

If you can believe it, it used to be far worse. Thankfully macros alleviate some of the pain.
 

Good video talking about the SAM change that's pissing people off lately. And I can't say I disagree with it.

It definitely feels like the removal of Kaiten is a really strange choice. It may not be the central pillar of the job, but it definitely makes the job feel the way it does. This might be a net buff if you just look at pure damage numbers, but imo, it's more about job feel here.

As Lucy pointed out, if the excuse here is "it's good it was removed because it's just a pointless skill you push to access another skill", then how many other skills can be removed under the same justification? I've played a ton of GNB and I can honestly say that if they decided to remove continuation but buff skill potencies, that the class just wouldn't feel nearly as fun.

Kaiten use doesn't affect SAM's skill access though. You press the button to do X more damage, that's all. You're free to fuck up or follow the rotation with or without kaiten. Thinking on it, Kaiten is just a user friendly Reassemble and essentially only really serves as a skill gate. All this whining just seems like SAM mains/fanboys indirectly admitting their favorite job is actually boring, because it is, personally.

That's what makes the removal so weird to me. It was a skill gate to an extent, but unless you're doing high-end content, missing your Kaiten isn't going to ruin you in a dungeon. And it's pretty simple to use. Use Kaiten to buff big hits, use the other buttons to prevent yourself from capping on it (and occasionally have enough open to use your long cooldown abilities).

My main concern is that I've heard the line "it doesn't really do anything so whatever, it's good that it's gone" from a few other by now. And that seems like a weird line to me since it seems 100% subjective as to what the line between "useless bloat skill" and "necessary part of the kit" is.
 
They're simplifying samurai because reaper is now their template for how a melee DPS job should function. Next on the list - spearniggers.

(Joking aside, I think we're going to see a lot of monkeying with the melee DPS this expansion because they seem to want to redefine how jobs in that role operate)
 
I have to fucking laugh at the amount of furries sperging out in the community about the Hrothgar hairstyles. I'm sure they're not happy about it, but the amount of them that is declaring the game broken and calling this a disaster is comical. Starting to realize how fucking loud and obnoxious the Hrothgar spergs are

It's baffling. Three months ago the community wouldn't stop dicksucking Yoshi P, and now you've got a small but very loud furry community shitting up all discourse because they didn't get their furry OC mane.
Imagine how it looks when the devs deliver a sizeable content update just four months after releasing a big expansion, and all the hype is drowning out in a sea of cat fuckers bitching about the devs not giving enough focus to their fetish character
