Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

I finally got around to finishing an Eureka relic weapon just so I can say I have one. Also did an Eurekan Armor +1.

Sarah White has 5 Gold Lung Stacks everytime (((she))) went to Aurum Vale

I usually enjoy corralling WoWfugees through trials but even I've needed a break recently. Ravana seems to filter them like crazy.
Positional riposte and adds you need to kill? Yeah, that one's a bummer.

I've been having insane trouble with Lakshmi every single time it shows up in the finder, and I for the life of me don't understand why. People aren't dying to the blue puddles growing out, they're not dying because they weren't aware of the knockback on her centered-platform attacks; they're dying because they run away from everyone else with the stackup marker (which has been seen by that point in the MSQ) and most importantly not literally just hitting the duty button, even when told to do it. Several times. And then they complain ala DSP.
Definitely RP data center things, probably compounded by whatever race/gender you're playing + glamour you're using, since people will feel a compulsion to get in the favor of someone based on those qualities.
I'm gonna guess female characters get more unprompted social interaction, as I've mostly been complimented on my disco attire and otherwise not seen much outside of Bozja in terms of people talking. Here and there I'll see a male au ra grooming a lala, but I assume that happens everywhere.
I'll check out Crystal eventually.
I'd recommend warrior or paladin if you adventure on crystal, as you can almost carry an entire group on your back with those jobs. I'm sure you know the rumors, but I'll say the rumors about shitters are absolutely true - it's like a 50-50 split between competent players and BLMs that do less than the healer.
I'm at patch 2.5 now. I've gone into every trial blind not looking up the mechanics. That tether mechanic did get me because I didn't understand what to do with it. My first instinct was to run away from the other player to 'break' the tether but that didn't work. Nonetheless, I died and I don't for a moment blame the healers for it.
So there's not much of an issue with going in blind up until the point you run into events where you fucking up can kill everyone else. But so long as you don't touch stuff, there's not many instances where I can think of that coming up.

I think it's generally a good habit to start watching walkthroughs regarding mechanics around the end of Heavensward, since some things aren't immediately intuitive - but outside of the Alliance Raids, it's generally rare that you failing the check will result in anything more than you dying.
literally everyone's made healers adjust jokes way before this current wow exodus. what's with these overly sensitive troons
Anything that requires doing more than pressing cure I on the tank is well outside of their wheelhouse, and they're afraid of an influx of people who won't carry their candy asses.

I've noticed a lot lately this idea of "Anything bad that happens is WoW refugees fault" becoming a trend among social media circles around FFXIV.

I've played this game since 2013 back in 2.0, I've played tank since Warrior was a walking trash can of a job when I never played tank in my life, and I play Healer on the side when I get bored of tanking. I've seen just about everything you can find in duty finder. All the "WoW toxicity" has been shit I've seen in this game since forever. I swear people either never talk to DF randoms or do anything besides afking in Limsa if they think any of this stuff is WoW's fault, or how it doesn't happen in FFXIV normally therefore it is WoW's fault. People are full of it and want to act holier than thou over playing this MMORPG instead of that other MMORPG.

The irony is rich considering people tend to praise Yoshi P for being so humble and correcting 1.0 because it was made with misplaced pride. At least Square Enix of that era had misplaced pride from actual accomplishments, all these dumb fucks have accomplished is playing FFXIV which isn't much of an accomplishment at all. Plus these are usually the types of ultra lefty progressives who want refugees in their country regardless of the cost, yet they treat video game "refugees" like they're sub human beasts that need to be killed or tamed for their insolence.

I actually got more unprompted social interaction when I was a male midlander and male elezen, which makes me think Crystal is the DC most populated by actual, unironic IRL women (female). I still get some as a female mooncat but it's a lot of weird, "hey... let's..." shit.

Crystal has been kinda fucked from the start. It was a mix of two highly-populated RP worlds (Balmung and Mateus) and then a bunch of worlds that were underpopulated. So when Shadowbringers launched, the overwhelming majority of new players ended up in Crystal just because it was hard to make new toons anywhere else during peak hours. In all honesty, it was a pepega decision to split the DCs in the first place and more pepega still to consign the new people to playing with the RP people on Balmung.

Things have gotten better though. Now that shadowbabbys have had an entire expansion of raid content to work through, the general skill level has gone up substantially, and we're even starting to see raiders from Goblin creep onto the fflogs leaderboards.

In my experience, WoWbucks are too broken to actually be toxic in-game. They know they don't know what they're doing and they're so conditioned by WoW culture to not draw attention to this fact that you'll almost never see them say anything. The only things that give them away are indirect tells (moving too much while tanking, pulling bosses from the flank, almost zero weaving, being named "Sylvanas" or "Arthas", etc).

Basically everyone imagines your average WoWfugee as a toxic gamer gigachad telling healtroons to 41% because they'll never be real women, when they're actually more like this:

What's actually going on is that there's another influx of normal people into the game and troons are worried that they'll lose the culture war and be forced to play GW2.

there are no women on the internet.

I assume classic has the sweaties keeping busy, the WoWfugee meme is years old where every tard or someone fucking up was labeled one. part elitism, part memery, part gatekeeping, but still true at it's core. although back then it was most obvious with people complaining about stuff with "why isn't this like WoW" and suggesting shit that made it obvious what their previous game was. rift basically had a constant "why doesn't rift have flying mounts" thread, in eso it's "guild traders suck, we need a global AH".

fucking newfags don't even know that was originally a BLM joke...

A joke born from trigger happy healers yanking BLMs with Rescue and fucking up their rotation, potentially completely, because the healer was too lazy to learn about/remember Aetherial Manipulation. A practice I'm sure Madam Victim Complex has no history of taking part of.

It's the roe curse - it's just bara fujos all the way down.

That's why it feels like 50-50. Every single time you see 'Balmung' or 'Brynhildr' appended to someone's name, there's always that lingering worry you've got someone who presses buttons primarily by drooling on them. It's hard to recommend playing DPS or healer because there really is such a huge risk of getting a single-pull, no mitigation tank - and since Asmonbald's begun his adventure, I've seen an influx of tanks who are allergic to the 'role actions' tab.

So business as usual then.
They were at least using reprisal before. I don't know why -just- that. Not much else, but that was a world of progress - lost, thrown into the abyss.
I still think I've seen maybe one or two total that realize arm's length and especially interject exist, though. I wish it was a more interesting role, bores me to tears to play.
I've been teaching Sprout tanks the basics of using Arm's Length in big packs and such, haven't taught them the joys of popping Shirk on a mouthy healer/dps though. That is a joy they need to find on their own.
You have to make sure that the dps/healer is too stupid to realize what shirk is (as it is probably harassment), but also that it's within the first five minutes.

Every tank should learn that people are bitchmade and if you initiate a vote kick on someone being an asshole, people will either go along with it or free you from the shit duty with another instant queue by kicking you. I usually mention that I can handle single pulls just fine without a healer in the event that it's some royal retard in the green slot.

The worst kind of person. EX-WoW player who just recently (seemingly?) picked up XIV who has no idea what the fuck they're talking about. For the uninitiated, "Healers Adjust" if a FFXIV meme in the same vein as "You don't pay my sub". FFXIV is literally a game stuffed full of memes so the idea that the twitter would post one of them is completely normal.

What do you think is most likely on the internet. That you're receiving the advances of actual women, or gay guys?

Can confirm that crystal had a suprisingly high amount of female degenerates mixed in with the regular troons and horny men pretending to be women online same thing really

although my experience with crystal has not been as shit as some people say somehow, but i have a feeling im lucking out or otherwise not in deep enough to see the autism and degeneracy firsthand, just snippets and other people saying/posting shit

Nah, Crystal's fine if you don't go using the party finder or partake in the degenerate gatherings in the Quicksand/Limsa. I had mostly positive experiences when I was active, and I was usually solo queuing most of the time.
