Not game related, it just sucks that I’m sweating my tits off here in ol’ Bongland while even the Sector 5 slums of Midgar have AC. ☹️

I kinda figured Advent Children was getting shoehorned in, Sephiroth mentioning The Reunion in the first 15 minutes of Remake kinda gave that away. Dirge of Cerberus being tied in is a bit of a curiosity though. Maybe there will be some inclusion of Vincent's time as a Turk and more detail around Vincent/Lucretia/Hojo.
Pretty sure they already added in Weiss as a secret boss, and the final boss in the yuffie dlc was Nero

We all know Aerith is better than Tifa and will always be better than Tifa. Observe a tale of two pictures.

The future of Aerith is the top, and the future of Tifa is the bottom. This is truth.
Pretty sure Aerith is the downtown girl hanging out with whores and is an easy lay while Tifa is the country bumpkin ex-mountain sherpa girl, they just have inverted appearances

Considering Aerith achieves exactly the spiritual apex that her appearance suggests I suspect, as the devs repeatedly say, the “inversion” is simply in who’s socially assertive.

Obviously the mere presence of a concept doesn’t just let you stretch it to its extreme.

does she? she loses the struggle with Meteor, and her battle with it is made possible by her bloodlines deep connection to the planet, her being the very last person on the planet to be able to do so, as the humans of the setting are from off world, though I agree, she does acheive a sort of enlightenment, however I don't think its of a biblical purity type.

Gee, what other religion is she thematically associated with? Ideally a religion with Martyrdom involved.

Frankly I think it's kind of silly be this unconvinced for the sake of a girl whose main legacy is paying the yearly rent of e-prostitutes. It's unfair to reduce Tifa to a sexual object...until you start doing it to Aerith.

While she's certainly a bill fit for a Jesus/Messiah archetype, her people, the Cetra, are basically Druids.

“This sky.. I don’t like it”.

What can I say! Just finished my first play through of Remake.. What a game! I feel quite emotional. I’m aware of all the controversy surrounding it and Rebirth but first impressions I have zero complaints, it’s a touching, funny, and poignant compliment to the original game. Found myself staring at the tv with my mouth open like a retard at some of the cut scenes, just blown away at the depth and emotion of it. And the music! Perfection. Loved all the elements of the original they brought in too, like the crawl space above the toilets in Shinra HQ, the open glass elevators and the humour between the characters. I could go on, it takes me back to playing the OG 30(?) years ago, felt the same then as I do now. What a game!

There’s INTERmission next and then Rebirth. Going to let this sit with me for a bit though, maybe go back and get the stuff I missed and redo some areas but it can wait. I absolutely loved it, worth buying a Switch 2 for.
So far all good!

If Remake made you emotional, Rebirth will make you cry. I'm worried Revelation will put me in a coma. Honestly the Re series has some of the best cutscene lipsyncing and it makes them hit so hard, I still tear up seeing certain scenes.

Finished hard mode and holy shit ive never sweat so much for a game in my life. Mind you it took me hours of attempt but i did it. Fuck Pride and Joy though. Malboro was surprisingly easy although had to do the fight twice cause i forgot to equip the enemy skill materia.

Had more fun unironically playing on Hard than on normal mode. Hard is just a complete different game than the normal version since bosses get new attacks/phases. Although the game on Hard is punishing if you arent prepped which is why i autistically assesed all the enemies(yes i could have used a guide but where is the fun in that) game is still a slog to playthrough and hopefully the pseudo open world of rebirth will be a nice change of pace. Personally FF7 Remake for me is pretty meh even if i take off my og ff7 glasses, the only thing i do enjoy is the vlice acting and how good the cutscene are. Also the combat is super fun, everything else is dogshit.

If i had payed full price for this game i would have lost my shit at how ripped off i would have been. Finally just dont 100% this game, is just pure suffering not because is hard(if you prep you should be golden) but becauze going though shit again will break you.
