I found the video to be interesting but I feel like he made the same mistake talking about capitalism that both detractors and fans make, which is accepting the premise that capitalism is itself a moral good (or bad). I've always believed that capitalism itself isn't a mechanism for moral outcomes, again good or bad, but rather a moral process.
It is, at its core, a system which allows the free exchange of goods, services or ideas between two or more parties. That's it. The morality comes from the ability to perform these functions freely, not that it promotes moral outcomes that then may need to be "tempered" by welfare states.
That's why there cannot be a free "post-capitalist state" or "end-stage capitalism", because there cannot be an political system that promotes liberty without a parallel economic system that promotes free exchange. Or, as Marx would have refused to call it, free enterprise.
That's what Star Trek fans often forget. While you may have a "post money" society, which FH freely admits is never explained by ST fans in operational terms, you still need a system of exchange for goods, services and ideas. Otherwise you need to explain why janitors exist in the Trekverse...because we've seen them.
I don't know, my brain got blown out by work today, so it's possible I'm as thick as mud. I still enjoyed the video because it made me uncomfortable about some things.
Edited slightly for clarity.
