Truth. Magi let himself take an extended shitkicking from Sonichu over Sylvie, one bad enough to leave him bedridden for weeks, rather then use his power to save himself then. Instead it takes a sequence of back and forth gory murders (and the soul-killing of BobChu) before he finally nuts up enough to do something about it.

Well, rather like Carrie or Charlie McGee, when he finally lets the power loose, he fucking lets it loose in jaw-dropping style.
