Sonichu [Fan Comic] Rosechu's Story - A reimagining of the Sonichu story from Rosechu's perspective.

Wait a minute...what does that say...?

CWCgraffiti.PNG

If only there were some way to save them all the pain... But then it'd be a really short comic, wouldn't it?

I don't know any Pokemon professors other than Professor "Are you a boy or a girl" Oak, so I dunno if Cole is an actual canon thing. But if it is leaning more towards the Chris mythos, I wonder if this professor also moonlights as a movie critic with a perchance to hate Toy Story 3...

...and where is Sonichu now? Did they just leave him in the woods? Hopefully he doesn't start eating poison sumac.... again...

Yeah, I figure they're used to Sonichu being on his own enough that leaving him for a while isn't a big deal. He's off doing something wacky, I'm sure. Probably trying to see how many berries he can fit in his mouth or attempting to run up the side of a cliff or something.

I think Professor Cole was a Chris invention that Trickie appropriated and made not-stupid. I hope she makes him kind of a hipster snob nobody likes like irl Cole, it would be hilarious.

Yeah, Professor Cole is a Sonichu universe original, all the Pokemon professors are named after trees.

I think it would be funny if Professor Cole's full name was Cole Dogwood, i.e. named after the state tree of Virginia. After all most Pokemon Professors are named after trees right?

Fun as that'd be, I'll probably just be leaving it at Cole for now. He's going to be differing from the other professors in the way he runs things, after all.

Granted, I like how the first thing you did with that page wasn't "assert that she is and always has been a woman because BLARGH! Sonichu is STRAIGHT! BLARGH!" I figure if I were a semi-sapient creature who has been morphed into something similar to what I was before but gained new levels of intellegence, the last thing I'd be concerned about is asserting my heterosexuality. It's like what Rosechu said, she's not a human and doesn't have a reason to worry about that kind of thing.

Yeah, I honestly couldn't imagine why a pokemon would care. I figure since (for the most part) they're an analog for animals in the real world, homosexuality and same sex pair-bonding is something that's generally accepted.

Dayum, welcome to CWCville! "Lasciante omni sper(g)anza, voi ch'entrate."

It's a bit unnerving, prepairing to leave Rosechu's and Sonichu's heartwarming and fun adventures behind only to enter the ugliness that is Solid Chris's world. I guess it was inevitable...

I must aks, though: does the Remarkable Reformatted Raichu's speech bubble cover the last two letters of 'Virginia" on purpose?

A pun in Italian? That's some next level stuff right there.

I wouldn't expect Cwcville to be 100% ugly, though, at least for now. We still have a ways to go before things start getting fucked up and falling apart.

As for the word bubble placement...

I found the placement of Rosechu's speech bubbles funnier than I should have.

That was more of a happy accident. The way Panel 3 is laid out, I needed to adjust things so that I could get the word bubbles close to Rosechu (to help prevent confusion as to which bubble is coming from which person) without it covering up the important stuff on the sign and I just noticed one of them partially covering the end of "Virginia".

Let the hell begin!

You know that feeling when you're watching a horror movie and the girl's going to run upstairs to get away from the axe murderer and you're yelling at the screen "No! Don't go upstairs!"?

That's what I'm doing right now.

It was all just fun and giggling since the beginning.
Then I saw the sign for CWCville and remembered what Rosechu and Sonichu were in for. Good job Trickie, you made me care way more than I'd like to admit about those two spans of Satan.

I'm afraid for poor Kel and Rosechu. I think when it's all over we should push for a spinoff series about Kel, Rosechu, and Sonichu without Chris's influence. The cover can be Sonichu struggling to carry a ton of shopping bags with Kel pointing to the next shop and saying to Rosechu "Go, and shop to the extreme!"

I wonder how the general populace of CWCville is going to be portrayed? Personally I'm predicting that they'll be perfectly normal, though they'd have odd tendencies like leaving Sonichu medallions around as if they were crosses, and showing obvious discomfort around anthropomorphic hedgehogs.

Okay, so my attention has been elsewhere this week, which means we're going to be late again. I tried to finish the sketch page for you guys at least, but I couldn't finish it in time. Hopefully I can get something out tomorrow.

Huh, I don't think I've ever seen CWCville depicted as an actual believable city. I like it!

Also adore your art, Trickie. Everybody else has already said it, but dang I dunno how you make Rosechu so cute and have such a strong characterisation.

Thank you! The characterization should get better as we go, but I'm glad it feels so strong already. Cwcville itself is proving to be a challenge, though, as I've started to realize that I have no idea how cities are structured. I'm mostly fudging stuff a little at the moment.

I have actually played with the idea of doing a story set after the events of the current comic, assuming I'm not completely burnt out by the time I finish. Can't say I can imagine Kel saying something like "Go and shop to the extreme!" though. More than likely, I'd want to do a "next generation" thing, where the offspring of the main characters take a larger role.

I'm guessing they're going to the Pokemon gym, where they'll meet Gym Leader/Mayor for Life Christian Weston Chandler, and Kel will discover that Rosechu's electric powers are gone.

You guys are so clever. I love it! :)

Apart from the Sonichu medallions thing, you're not far off. I'm not even familiar with that, is there a thing where people leave crosses lying around?

[autism]
Shouldn't that be TURN BACK NOW, West Virginia?
[/autism]

And now I'm wondering if there's a joke here I'm not getting. Someone explain like I'm five?

In Florida, on the less traveled highways, people hang crosses from trees with "repent", and "hell" and "sinners" painted on them. Wind chimes are sometimes added, and if you're close by, it is of eerie. Now I'm imagining that, only with Sonichu medallions dangling from trees in less developed parts of the city.

Banjo music in the Appalachians would be more calming, at that point.

Hey, that never stopped Chris XD
Considering the "real" Cwcville has a volcano next to a jungle next to an ocean next to Sonic, I'm sure anything you come up with will be more sensible anyway.

Terrific Comic Trickie. I don't know how you did it but you made Sonichu and Rosechu make sense, gave them depth and dimensions and made them into a real couple.
This. I actually really like them together.
I also really like the way you (@Trickie , not you @geewizz ) contextualize the original dialogue into something amusing and genuine.

Well, one tip I can give you is that the CWCville Shopping Center is in the center of the city.

To be fair, I don't think Chris designed a structured city anyway. The mayor's office in in the mall, for crap's sake.
