Sonichu [Fan Comic] Rosechu's Story - A reimagining of the Sonichu story from Rosechu's perspective.

We have a sketch page now, hurray! It comes with some not-so-good news, though. I may need to take a break from the comic for the month of April in order to concentrate on this very big move. It's only two months out and the pressure of just how much needs to be done around here is a bit staggering. I'm going to do my best to keep up until the end of March, though, and then hopefully pick things back up again in May.

Just me failing at geography and forgetting which Virginia Chris lives in. In my defense, both Virginias sound crazy, but West the most.

I know almost nothing about the south, apart from Mississippi and Alabama being the two states that give the rest of the area a bad name. At least from what I hear.

In Florida, on the less traveled highways, people hang crosses from trees with "repent", and "hell" and "sinners" painted on them. Wind chimes are sometimes added, and if you're close by, it is of eerie. Now I'm imagining that, only with Sonichu medallions dangling from trees in less developed parts of the city.

Banjo music in the Appalachians would be more calming, at that point.

Looks like I'm never ever going to Florida. That sounds really scary.

Terrific Comic Trickie. I don't know how you did it but you made Sonichu and Rosechu make sense, gave them depth and dimensions and made them into a real couple.
This. I actually really like them together.
I also really like the way you (@Trickie , not you @geewizz ) contextualize the original dialogue into something amusing and genuine.

Thank you very much :) I hope the relationships between the other characters will be as well liked.

Hey, that never stopped Chris XD
Considering the "real" Cwcville has a volcano next to a jungle next to an ocean next to Sonic, I'm sure anything you come up with will be more sensible anyway.

Yeah, this is basically the only thing I have to go off of:
o76qcQI.jpg

Essentially, Cwcville is a giant strip mall or something? I don't know. It's not really that useful for most things, and it doesn't even make a lot of sense. Why is the mall (and thus the Mayor's Office) so far away from the shopping areas and downtown areas where all the other important government buildings would be? Why is there a 1/4 mile gap between it and the suburbs with nothing there? It's nonsense.

To be fair, I don't think Chris designed a structured city anyway. The mayor's office in in the mall, for crap's sake.

Basically, yeah.

I actually meant something more like where a cross is nailed to a wall or a door, not crosses actually being left all over the place.

I didn't grow up in an area where people did that, I guess. Still, I don't think people in Cwcville would turn the Sonichu and Rosechu thing into something religious. The comic treats them more like a superhero force, where they deal with stuff that the police can't handle mainly, but also help with other menial stuff like putting out fires and pulling cats out of trees.

From what I see, Chris has lifted quite a bit of stuff from Adult Swim. Marvey Blaziken, Coach McGurk, etc.

I wonder if he lifted the idea from Tom Goes to the Mayor, which was out shortly before Chris' magnum opii.

Is "Cuteness" an attack strategy? Maybe Rosechu could use cuteness. Just hop around the arena, singing a jaunty song, lull the enemy into a fall sense of security, give it a nice backrub, and then out of nowhere use her tail as a garotte and strangle it into submission.

Or... orrrrr maybe this is where she first develops her Lioness powers? Hmmmm.....

....or she just dons a Magikarp mask, flops around and waits for the inevitable.

Or Sonichu comes in and kicks the shit out of whatever.

One thing I like about the way you've drawn up CWCville so far is the way you set it up just like the Pokémon games: forests and roads are divided from the rest of the city by a small sign. All we need now is one of the themes from the cities. You can just hear the music start playing on cue with a sign telling you where you are appearing in the sky out of thin air...

Also, I like the design of the gym badge for CWCville's gym. It has the letter "C" and a characteristic lightning bolt, but stil looks enough like a legitimate gym badge from one of the games. :)

Or maybe she tries to give the other pokemon "FEELS". One thing i do know that this maybe our first experence of Solid Chris.
Soon.

Technically, yes. According to the CWCipedia page on her, Rosechu can have the ability Cute Charm.

Maybe, but I suspect it's probably more to do with an affinity for shopping malls.

We won't rule anything out just yet, but...

Technically, yes. According to the CWCipedia page on her, Rosechu can have the ability Cute Charm.

Yes, 2spooky is right. There's also a move in the game called "Charm" that can lower your enemy's attack power.

Or Sonichu comes in and kicks the shit out of whatever.

That's... actually something I hadn't thought of.

Oh yeah. Isn't this Giovanni's gym? Or did I miss a part where it became someone else's? So, uh... how's that going to work?

Can't wait to see this in color. And I can't wait to see the next one.

*MAP SCOPE*

It's Chris'. He doesn't explain it in the comic, like a lot of things, but it mentioned it in the CWCkipedia back when that was a thing.

Correct, there's a Cwcville Gym that's separate from Giovanni's, it just doesn't appear in the comics. It is, however, mentioned in Rosechu's Cwcipedia entry.

My poor parents would dry if they knew about all the useless crap I was filling my head with these days...

Still floored by how adorable you made Kel compared to Chris's barf.

The original Kel looks like the 90's threw up on her. My Kel looks like the cool part of the 90's threw up on her.

I did actually try to bring in a little bit of a smooth transition from rural to urban (sidewalk, street signs, power lines), but I didn't want it to take forever.

Also, the design for the Cwcville Gym symbol isn't mine. It's Chris's. I don't know if anyone remembers the commission I ordered I while back, but...

As far as I know, this is the only time the Cwcville Gym symbol has been publicly shown.

Or maybe she tries to give the other pokemon "FEELS". One thing i do know that this maybe our first experence of Solid Chris.

Dammit, I was wrong about the Mall. Well, anyway, Rosechu, don't worry! You've still got your vagina choke move!

It's subtly hilarious to see a version of Cwcville where the floor is actually on the floor and the walls form 90-degree angles XD
I'm half-expecting Rosechu to end up fighting Sonichu, who ended up on Mayor/Gym Leader Chris's team after they left him unsupervised for 5 seconds.

And LOL @ the gym having "The Classic" stripes ;)
