Sonichu [Fan Comic] Rosechu's Story - A reimagining of the Sonichu story from Rosechu's perspective.

Oh. My. God. Trickie, you did it. This comment of yours is officially the most badass comment in the history of comments. Ever. Dat Rosechu gif! How the fuck do you manage to make friggin' Rosechu more badass than Gurren Lagann, Asura, Guts and Wolverine combined?! Dammit, I have such a sever hype overload right now! Imma download that gif asap if you don't mind. I need it in my pitiful adult life.

Well, I did grab a sprite animation sheet to reference for the move, so I sort of feel like I shouldn't take all the credit for whatever badassery, but yeah... I don't mind if you download any of my stuff really. Some people get worked up over their art being taken and modified and stuff and I really just don't get it. I mean, it'd be different if it was the original drawing on real paper and someone just took it and vandalized it, but I've literally lost nothing from having my digital art copied or modified.

As for that other hilarious, though not nearly as cool, gif featuring Aladdin: I was listening to Stranglehold by Ted Nugent while watching it. The way that dude's sexy hips rock from one side to the other matches with said song's rhythm so well; it's quite the hypnotic experience. I think Y'all should try staring at dem hips while listening to ol' Crazy 'Nuge:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=0c3d7QgZr7g

I always feel weird listening to Ted Nugent, just because he's got a decent song or two, but his political views make it hard for me to really enjoy them like I want to.

As for the stuff about Pokémon trainers and pimps: ever since I'd first saw that show I always wondered how cool would it be to have a dude who actually fights alongside his\her 'mons. Like, imagine a Solid Snake type character raiding some base on top of an Onix, shooting down people with a pair of uzis! Or showing a Poké ball down someone's throat just before it's about to release a Blastoise! Urgh, I need to take my anti-gush pills.

That's a neat idea, but I always liked the idea of an exceptionally smart pokemon becoming a trainer themselves. It's a neat concept that kind of messes with your head in the way Goofy and Pluto both being dogs does.

Actually, maybe you could combine those ideas, have a pokemon led pokemon team that also happens to consist of one human. Wouldn't that be fascinating?

I've been following this comic for a while, but I just had to comment on this and The Real Sonichu as soon as I signed up. For one thing I can't believe you've got me invested in Rosechu of all characters, not only that but you gave Kel such a likable personality that I don't want to see Rosechu leave her now. ROSECHU, DON'T GO WITH SONICHU! YOU CAN STAY WITH KEL AND HAVE FUNNY ADVENTURES! NOOOOOOOOO! TRICKIE WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO MEEEEEEEEE?

It's because I love toying with people's hearts! Mwahaha!

Welcome to the forums by the way! Always nice to have yet another joining the madness.

Overdramatics aside, I know it's been pointed out before, but the contrast between your and _blank_'s Sonichu is amazing, it's like I'm looking into two completely separate universes whenever I check for updates on these comics. Two completely different takes on the exact same character, then again Chris's comic is such a blank slate in the first place that anyone could pretty much do anything with it if they wanted to, but it's still amazing how different interpretations can be.

Actually, that's a good point. The fact that Chris' comic is so malleable that it can be taken in two different directions and still feel internally consistent either speaks to the blandness of Chris' originals or to its unintended brilliance... or maybe even both.

Not sure if I have much else to say, other than it'll be interesting to see how Liquid Chris plays into all of this...oh yeah also, it might be a bit too early to ask but is Count Graduon going to be making any appearances in this comic? I can't really remember if he's all that involved with Rosechu but I don't think he is, and I really don't want to have to go back to the original comics to find out. I guess I'm just curious to see what your take on him would be.

He will absolutely be seen in scepter form, but a lot of the focus with be on MLW in those scenes. I am, however, thinking of doing a subplot which would include his semi-corporeal bipedal form, but I haven't decided if it's good enough to include in the story.

"He's totally got a thing for you!"

-Cut to Sonichu with a spoon stuck to his nose paying absolutely ZERO attention to anything that's going on.

That one panel, that ONE panel with Sonichu with a goddamn spoon stuck to his nose injected more character into him then the ENTIRELY of Chris' original comics. You've actually caused me to feel genuinely positively about Sonichu...

...I don't know what my life is anymore...

I'm glad you guys liked the spoon thing. Sorry to hear about your existential crisis, though. :)

You know, it's funny, I never could get a spoon to balance on my nose. Not as a kid, and definitely not as an adult. I don't know what the trick is, or if my nose is just not shaped right, but it's always bugged me.

I think I've found the ideal music for Trickie's awesomesauce hurricane kicking Rosechu gif:

WARNING: the lyrics contain multiple kicks ;)

Setting a Street Fighter reference to the music of a Killer Instinct game? You're getting dangerously close to crossing the streams there, hun. It was a good listen, though. :)

God, Sonichu is friggin adorable.

And now you're on board too, Saney? I wonder if I could get away with forming a cult...?

Sorry for posting here less. Love how you made Kel, Rosechu and Sonichu adorable. I'm ready for an alternate timeline of the 2nd episode of Sonichu 0.

Nah, I don't mind people posting less if they don't have anything to say. As much as I love comments, I don't want you guys to feel like you need to make one every time a page is posted. If you like it, just clicking the "Mm, Yeah" is enough.

Anyway, this weeks page is (finally) done! I'm going to try to make sure that next week's page isn't late. I am trying to stockpile extra pages after all, and my recent bouts of listlessness have not been helping anything.

I follow a Pokémon fanfic where the creatures are basically just as sentient as humans and humans can communicate with them by way of figuring out their speech through use of body language and context clues. In this, one Pokémon managed to apply for a trainer license, but didn't actually catch and train any other Pokémon: it was more for the proof of the ability of the Pokémon to do what humans do. The same Pokémon also wrote a book. Official Nintendo art on occasion depicts Pokémon in human situations (a recent promo has some Pokémon playing musical instruments) so it's implied they're just as sentient and capable of humans but I guess have different life goals from humans, haha.

That's an absolutely healthy and admirable attitude towards (non-profit) E-art.

Yeah, I thought that could be an issue, and I completely sympathize with your point. He's pretty decent as far as "not-shredding-but-still-rather-articulate" guitarists go, but damn, some of his statements... same goes for Dave Mustaine.

I've never even considered that! That could be such a cool twist in an actual Pokémon toon! I'd really love to see you write for a tv series. Or anything else.

Actually, maybe you could combine those ideas, have a pokemon led pokemon team that also happens to consist of one human. Wouldn't that be fascinating?
And the human would be the only one who has to dwelve in a pokéball between battles! We could go delightfully sadistic with this:evil:

D'aw! :c

You know what's the sad part? I didn't even realize it until you'd brought it up!
But damn, Killer Instinct alone almost makes me want to buy an Xbox One. If only It'd come out on PC...

And now you're on board too, Saney? I wonder if I could get away with forming a cult...?
Just tell us whether you prefer goats or virgins as sacrifice!

Oh, and this totally goes without saying, but your pages are still awesome!

Thanks! It felt so weird at first finally seeing this comment box below every page, just goes to show how much I've been lurking as a guest I suppose. Admittedly I wasn't 100% sure about joining at first, felt a bit intimidated about it when I originally saw these forums to be honest, but after seeing these comics and seeing how this community actually seems a lot friendlier than a few other communities I've actually been a part of, I felt like I eventually had to get an account.

I'd mostly say that it just shows how bland the original comic is, but how in more competent hands it can turn into something brilliant and compelling. I'd probably cut Chris's comic some slack if he were at least willing at all to improve, but considering things only got worse in that series and especially considering what we know about Chris's belief that everything he does is perfect...yeah, that's not happening any time soon.

He will absolutely be seen in scepter form, but a lot of the focus with be on MLW in those scenes. I am, however, thinking of doing a subplot which would include his semi-corporeal bipedal form, but I haven't decided if it's good enough to include in the story.

Interesting...well, I look forward to their appearance in the comic, as well as whether or not you'd include his subplot. Would you be using the white silhouette design, or the purple Modnation Racers design? Or is it too early to decide on such a thing? I do tend to prefer the latter design, although I have seen some cool things done with the former (this in particular caught my eye a few years back, how on Earth he got something like that from something like this is beyond me.)

And now you're on board too, Saney? I wonder if I could get away with forming a cult...?

If you do form a cult, I vote that they be called "Keltists" [/horriblepunohgodI'msosorry]

Anyways, awesome stuff as usual! Kel continues to be endearing, I really like Rosechu's cynicism and for some reason I find the toilet paper being next to Sonichu hilarious, even moreso than Sonichu having a spoon on his nose out of nowhere, I have no idea why. Although I gotta admit that is pretty impressive, I could never figure out how to do that either.

Also when I saw the soda in the fridge I was all like "Oooh, Coke!" but then when I realized it was CWC Cola I went "wait, ew." You nearly psyched me out there! On the other hand, it looks like a certain Mayor we know is gonna get sued.

I am anticipating the coming of Solid Chris and seeing the full extent of all of the compressed vices that Liquid Chris left him with. Only time will tell if he angers any of us more than _blank_'s take on Sonichu...

So here's a question, does Rosechu still have his/her/xir :pickle:? Or did Chris get rid of it( This draws into my "Rainbow was a result of Solid Chris's residual power of reality bending). And how would this explain the existence of Robbie, Cera, and Christine(assuming that they will have at least a minor appearance up the road). Surely Solid wouldn't be able to completely alter a male Pokemon's biology that drastically, or even know that males and females have completely different reproductive organs.

I'm guessing there will be issues later that flesh them out. It could be possible that Rosechu could still have her :pickle:.

Nice touch with the CWC Cola

Thanks! I could just imagine Kel going down to the local CWC-e-Mart and wondering aloud why they only carry the in-house brand of cola.

Aww man, that sounds awesome! It's too bad it's a fanfic (I really have a hard time concentrating on books). If that were a comic, though, I'd be all over it.

Just tell us whether you prefer goats or virgins as sacrifice!

Virgins, of course! That's old school OT stuff right there.

Yeah, there's a lot of really good people on this forum, you just have to ignore the occasional sperg or two.

If you do form a cult, I vote that they be called "Keltists" [/horriblepunohgodI'msosorry]

Ha! That's brilliant! We could use it to refer to everyone who is a fan of Kel. xD

This is actually something I'm nervous about actually, because I don't know if I'll be nearly as good at writing Solid Chris' dialog as @_blank_ is. We'll just have to see how well he's received overall.

Should have had a BIOHAZARD Resident Evil sticker on some far corner of the fridge for the hell of it.

It's a little late for a sticker (we've seen several establishing shots of the outside of the fridge) but if you look inside on the most recent page I've hidden a little easter egg for you.

Uh oh...me thinks the funny cuteness part is gonna be put to the side for a bit...

I admire your optimism, Steel. :)

So, being super careful not to go into spoilers here, but I think I can say (I think I confirmed this before anyway) that Sonichu and Rosechu's children will be making an appearance in the comic.

I know I should probably finish this issue before commenting on it, but two panels in and I love it already.

EDIT: Just finished reading it, and oh boy...I sense a lot of drama coming up in the next issue. Maybe even the next few issues...I really hope this isn't the reason Rosechu is gonna leave Kel, it's just going to break my heart even more! ROSECHU, YOU'VE GOT IT ALL WRONG, KEL LOVES YOU!

Oh this is too good! I can't wait to see the outcome of this.

Also I don't think Rosechu has her :pickle: anymore, after all, we know that Robbie, Cerah and Christine are coming, therefore Sonichu (and Magichan) had to have a place to stick it, unless Rosechu somehow talked a Ditto into posing as her during sexytimes.

Either way I'm awaiting that fun page where she realises that the Chinese have invaded her pants.

See, if Chris IS aware of the comic, this is the part where he goes

tantrum-o.gif

"ROSECHU WAS A GIRL RAICHU! GET IT THROUGH YOUR DAMN FUCKING SKULL AND CALL HER BY HER REAL GENDER, YOU DAMN MOCKING BASTARD! UUURRRRRAAAAAAAARRRGH!!"
