I'll be honest. I like the aesthetic of Fallout 4, but not for a retro-future post-nuclear rpg. I think if we had something like Starfield (but made by anybody other than Bethesda and their Indian horde) with the Fallout 4 look, I think that could be pretty kino. The character models are pretty trash, especially the way they rendered teeth. I hate it.

In all fairness to Bethesda (retards), they know their audience (retards). A colorful shooter with minimal story and actually entertaining gunplay, it's designed for zoomers and other various brainrotted gamers that will slurp up anything.

I've been through Primm so many times but have never picked this up. I just don't spec into lockpick super early and never go back after making Primm Slim sheriff. I guess this will be my weapon of choice. Thank you for the suggestion

I never bother with Lucky because I find the hacking minigame to be more fun than the lockpicking minigame so I usually don't put many points into Lockpick until I've maxed out the skills I really care about (Guns for damage, Sneak, Repair for Jury Rigging, Medicine for Living Anatomy, Science for hacking, Survival for Them's Good Eatin' and maybe Rad Child, and maybe Explosives for Hit the Deck). Lucky also has a loading gate instead of a swing-out cylinder, so reloading is slow.

I still go back to Primm to gamble since 3 days after getting the town a new sheriff, Layla and the NCR deserters (which would be a great name for a mediocre band) will show up in the Vicki & Vance, and 3 days after you clear them out it will reopen as a working casino (too bad the limit is so low).

The limit is low because you can theoretically win a lot of money there even early on, but there is a better reason to gamble there, and that's because one of the prizes is a Stealth Boy. Better than anything the other casinos will give you, not sure why that's there. They even give you a pretty good armor for that stage in the game in the final reward tier, I think another casino gives you Combat Armor but otherwise it's all garbage like steaks and alcohol. There should have been rare loot like this or permanent upgrades like the Complimentary Voucher in the Sierra Madre as reward tiers instead.

Its just too colorful for fallout, if they cut back on the bright colors within boston and limited it to the tourist traps i think it would have looked better

The death of Adam Adamowviz was a huge blow to the art direction to Fallout 4 which originally was going to keep the design language of F3 and FNV, but decided to go in the most Jetsons Route because of reasons. I honestly prefer the older designs of retro futuristic underpinnings rather than this wacky bullshit.

I know people will point out the wacky stuff in F2 and say it's never been a serious franchise but it's also a game where along with becoming a porn star, you can become a child killer, a slaver, and that if you play a lower int female Myron attempts to drug and possibly rape you.

Hell with the restoration of the lines of the Fiends leaders someone like Cook Cook is so depraved and insane that people like him should be living in the Shivering Isles along with the wacky bullshit.
