They are not really Chris' friends...Or anyone's for that matter. Kim is a loyal soldier and bodyguard to Chris, though.

What Chris needed from day one was either a little bit of "tough love", more authoritative parents, or both. If he had any of those things, chances are we all wouldn't be here discussing in a 33+ page thread about Chris's e-begging. But alas, such seems to only be possible in the realm of dreams...

Well some video game system generations have huge leaps in quality and others are smaller. Like, the NES was followed by the Super NES, and the graphical jump was very noticeable. PS2 was a jaggy, low-res system that played DVD's and the PS3 had beautiful high res graphics and played blu ray movies. The PS4 has slightly better graphics than the PS3 and no new movie format, it's just less exciting compared to previous system launches. It's basically off his radar, and that could be for a large number of reasons. Really anything Chris buys to distract himself from his lonely failure of an existence is a life upgrade.

I know, but I thought the two notions would be synonymous, considering how much of of his life revolves around vidya. Better system = better life. I thought that's why he called it the "life upgrade" in the first place.

Ah okay. Well, I don't really know much about current vidya. I mean I remember the SNES was an order of magnitude better than the NES, but it seems I was incorrect in assuming the same corollary with the PS3 --> PS4.

Also cripples or outright doesn't have existing functionality of the PS3 like DLNA (media servers for downloaded video), MP3, free online gaming, BluRay playback quality, and on and on and on. It's not a technology upgrade so much as an egregious example of executive meddling.

Not that Chris would know what most of that means, but even he is smart enough to recognize when something expensive doesn't deliver enough of a life improvement to justify its purchase. I have no doubt he'll get a PS4 eventually, but it's not a high priority for him right now.
 
I think this recent flurry of posts is autism in action.

I believe Marvin said that when people give him gifts he doesn't like, he'll complain instead of being polite and saying "thanks" for it anyway, and his lists are "preemptive" to avoid getting stuff he doesn't like (hence the "future reference" or something like that). I think that in his mind, it's appropriate to himself, so by extension, it's appropriate to everyone else (autism). And yet, he seems to be unaware of how utterly rude and inappropriate more or less everyone else sees it as (autism again).

That, and he was provided with aid after the incident, so he he may think that people should just liberally give him stuff after a disaster.

We'll have to wait a few weeks to say that, since I think his PSN profile only updates with a date when he earns a trophy. Christorians have jumped to this conclusion before.

If you look deeper than the front page on his profile, though, he goes for weeks without earning any trophies and then suddenly earns half a dozen or so on the same day. If he were playing daily or more regularly the trophy award dates would be more spread out.

Also, i love how he tries to sound cool and experienced about the LEGO shit, but then he says that he's just desesperate for getting more toys :lol:
 
I don't believe he's ever posted pictures of his MOC (which stands for My Own Creation) house before it was melted. But it costs about $490-500 to build (the spengbab house is part of a $40 set and he wants TWO of them).
