After years of complaints, San Francisco Mayor Mark Farrell vowed on Friday to become more aggressive in clearing the city’s sidewalks of homeless encampments.

Farrell told the San Francisco Chronicle: “Enough is enough. We have offered services time and again and gotten many off the street, but there is a resistant population that remains, and their tents have to go.”
He added, “We have moved as a city from a position of compassion to enabling (unacceptable) street behavior, and as mayor I don’t stand for that.”

The city has faced a growing homeless epidemic, and with that has come streets filled with human feces, dirty syringes, and trash. Farrell says “the tents are a public safety hazard for the people living in them, and for the residents of San Francisco.

Yeah allow me to neg this pozreception to these comments by the mayor. San Fransisco intentionally turned itself into one giant safe space for the rich and pampered and privileged instead of investing money into affordable housing and an actual sustainable job market for low income people, which ended up with everyone not in or near the 1% becoming hobos if they wanted to stay in the city.

They created this fucking hobo problem, and now instead of spending their ample fucking funds to make the city an actual goddamn city instead of one big liberal arts collage campus, they plan on further punishing the hobos by driving them even further into the margins, just so they can still pretend they live in utopia.

As far as im concerned the Hobos would be well within their rights to go full zombie apocalypse on that goddamn shithole if the city authorities try to push them out.

What do you mean by an actual city? Like proper homeless shelters and similar services?

That's not really feasible if all the rest of the cities on the west coast are San Franciscos too. Because if any of them break rank and start compassionately setting up resources for the homeless, they'd be overwhelmed by all the itinerants from the other cities. These hobos migrate like locusts and they're as entitled as locusts too.

The west coast needs to present a united front against the hobos before they can start offering services. And they start doing that by kicking them out.

When the bums start realizing that a free ride can't be found anywhere on the west coast, they'll start playing ball.

And you don't go homeless in America if you can't afford to live in your city anymore. It sucks, and the government dropped the ball in managing gentrification, but lol, you just toss your hands up and say "welp, I'm living in the street?". What? That's retarded, you just move.
