I feel like a broken record, but getting blasted in the Skullgirls IRC channel really chapped his ass something fierce and wanting to show up those meanies with a super successful solo auteur game was a major motivator in the Yandere Simulator project being a thing in the first place. It probably doesn't remain much of a factor nowadays.

The worst part is that it's not even his achievement, he did nothing to minimize the damage and his "apology" only made him look even worse. IIRC he's made 3 separate spinoffs already that basically consist of you playing a (different?) character that basically sits in a chair the entire game. But yes I found it absolutely amazing and hilarious that he wants to work on A FUCKIN' SPINOFF for his game that isn't finished.

I'd like to make a note here, as you've reminded me of something. In preparation for learning as much as possible about this entire rabbit hole, I made the arduous journey of reading through a dozen or so YS update posts on his blog. He is seemingly planning to charge for the game (demo?) after the inclusion of the next rival/total completion of the current one. If anybody wants to grab the game for archival purposes or anything of the sort, do so. If he ever does manage to follow through, it might be hard to get a hold of it afterwards without paying with how often he has struck down content about him and his "game".More pathetic behavior from him, unsurprisingly.
