Has anyone tried Monster's Lando Norris flavor? I personally liked it, had a nice fruity taste to it, but I don't watch Formula 1 so I had no idea who the fuck Lando was. Anyway, I'll probably get this again the next time I see it.

I also tried Red Bull's Cherry Sakura flavor a while back and that shit was ass, had a banana taste and I couldn't stand it.

So I've tried a few in the interim.

These are dece, the attempt at adding bitter flavors to emulate lime kind of hides the weird aftertaste most Celsius has, not perfectly though. I have no idea if it tastes like prickly pear (it probably doesn't) but sweet sour and a bit limey bitter is just fine in my book, and not offputting like some celsius flavors can be.

Decent non alcoholic pina colada flavor that's sugar free, I like it better than the Oasis one and it's not too bad at hiding the Celsius aftertaste.

Do you like rainbow sherbet? Do you like it when it is incapable of muting the celsius aftertaste? The answer to that question will determine if you like this one, for me the answer was "no" but it's far from the worst I've had, it's still drinkable just it's at the bottom of the hierarchy at the poorly stocked gas station.

Fruit punch flavor, but more cherry forward. I forget how well it hid the aftertaste but I didn't dislike it. Better than retro IMO but still lower to middling on the hierarchy.

This was a weird one, to me it tasted uncharacteristically artificial for a monster juice flavor, not full crush purple drank but kinda riding that line. If you like that kind of artificial grape flavor you'll probably like this, if not, it's far from the best juice flavor IMO. You get what's promised and it has an opinion the question is just if that's your jam. It wasn't mine that's for sure.

Fruit punch but sugar free and imo not a very high effort adaptation for sugar free. It's fine, but there's so many better flavors in the zero sugar line I wouldn't do it again much less spring for a 15-pack.

It's a copy of dragon energy sugar free which is a copy of redbull sugar free, it's got no erythritol (just sucralose) though so I'm going to try some of the other flavors as I'm trying to move away from stuff that uses that. Celsius fit that bill but also puts that weird aftertaste in everything which so far these lack.

They also do a sugar free watermelon so I'll see if it holds a candle to Monster.

This one surprised me given the OG Luck flavor tasted very close to the sweeter-than-redbull-copy-of-redbull profile; but this is almost too subtle. Light orange flavor which was more floral and zest like than "Orange Crush" like if I had to describe it, light sweet, no abnormal aftertastes I noticed though my tastebuds are notoriously unsubtle.

It borders on bland compared to Monster's typical acid and sweet levels for their zero sugar stuff, but it also that might be up your alley if you don't like excessively sweet beverages. I'll know more later when I get some more flavors but we're 1 and 1, the OG luck flavor is definitely on the "energy drink sweet" level, where this is not, so who knows about the others.

One thing to note is that if you're relying on energy drinks for B6/12 supplementation these will not fit the bill, the ingredients list is sparse and no supplements that need to be listed by vitamin are anywhere to be found in these.

I had it last month. It was quite good. The citrus and melon flavors work well together.

EDIT: Not sure how it is at other Dollar Trees, but the one nearest me no longer has any G-Fuel :( It does have Bang, Buck'd Up, Rip It, and 3D energy.

In theory all the Dollar Trees are supposed to have the same inventory and mine has gotten less and less G Fuel over the last few months, so they may be on the way out at a corporate level. I personally recommend the 3D blueberry mist.

So...it's not quite like the monster zero. Definitely less sweet and less acidic. Also less pink, it's vaguely yellow which probably just means it isn't dyed.

Arguably it's more jolly rancher flavored so there's a slightly higher artificial watermelon note to it. It's weird though the sweetness is almost like an aftertaste if that makes sense, it's not insignificant but it hits later than you expect. No explicit energy blend aftertaste to it so it's either hiding or the blend itself isn't super bitter.

Not bad, good enough I'll probably replace the monster watermelons with it unless I'm drinking booze.

I'm pretty sure this is a re-hash of a previous Frozen Lime flavor which is good if you like sweeter limeade flavor. Not nearly as sweet as you'd imagine for a drink with 200 calories per can, but quite pleasant. Not going out of my way for it since it's a chunka calories but I'd pick it over a lot of other flavors at a poorly stocked gas station.

I also tried Red Bull's Cherry Sakura flavor a while back and that shit was ass, had a banana taste and I couldn't stand it.
I was getting cherry + pier 1, far from the worst I've had but not wholly pleasant, though I'd be curious to find a sugar free version as redbull has some flavors that are radically different between sugar and non-sugar variants.

There use to be in the mid 0's a Mountain Dew energy drink called Amp which was basically a turbocharged mountain dew. Like think what NOS is like to Squirt taste wise but to Mointain Dew's lineup. Did that just get straight up discontinued or rebranded? They have a modern one called Amp that tastes nothing like the old, and Kickstart which while I like Kickstart it ain't nothing like Amp was.
They had Amp and Vault, iirc., as their first real forays into the energy drink world. I'm still bummed Vault got discontinued because it had that energy drink kick without the awful flavor of mid 00s energy drinks.

So...I've tried a few more.

It's fruit punch, it's sugar free, and it's kinda...middling sweet, inoffensive. Not my favorite punch implementation, that goes to Pacific Punch hands down.
1776551974478.png
It's...also fruit punch. I suspect it's supposed to be Hawaiian Punch but the reality is it doesn't taste all that different from their other punch flavor. The differences are subtle: it seemed to have cherry forward just slightly, slightly more acidic? Also a bit of a pier 1 after-exhale? It's weird, it doesn't really taste pier 1 but when you exhale after taking a sip there's the florals wafting up your throat. Also middling sweet.

These two are mystifying because for all the words involved the differences between them really are quite subtle, pick one or the other because 90% of people probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference double blind.

Middling sweet, reminds me a bit of the crystal ice berry flavors but with more acid (probably to hide the energy blend) and less sweet. Inoffensive, no weird after-tastes, but not going on the rotation either.

I have a feeling that G-Fuel might be retiring their canned drinks or winding their current production down to introduce a newer formula, their official site only has six flavors while Amazon has double that.

I have no idea how people can drink more than one energy drink a day. Even after one I can't sleep when I get home from work. Now I just split one with an elderly Hispanic man at my job because he can't drink the whole thing either :lit:
A lot of people have different caffeine sensitivity, and also depends on the energy drink as one can have something like 80 mg of caffeine while another has 200 mg.

I tried this bad apple one the other day and I quite enjoyed it.

There seriously needs more smooth Apple flavored energy drinks. The last time I had one that nice was a promotional drink for the most recent Ghostbusters movie.
RIP Frozen Big Apple...

Drank 3 monsters today, tried to take a nap, and felt like my brain went into a quantum state of knocked out and wide awake
for the record 3 monsters is above advised daily limit don't do it ever again but yes even with lesser amounts your mind is going to be in a limbo.
I tried this the other day. I don't know what I expected but...suffice it to say, I was kinda underwhelmed. It's like the white Monster but with grapefruit and therefore not as good.

It;s zero sugar I personally only know 1 zero sugar energy drink that I can honestly recommend and it isn't monster though monster is drinkable
I recently learned that one of the people in my class drinks 6-7 cans of Monster daily and has had up to 18 cans per day when studying for exams.
18 cans? you can die from overdrinking and if not you for sure can end up in a hospital. Do I have to link chubbyemu about caffeine

All the newer/seasonal Redbull flavors are neat, and I generally prefer Redbull, but past half a decade I pretty much stick to tea or water. If I'm so damn tired to need caffeine to get me through the day - it's a call to get more sleep than chug any of this shit. Real irony is having mates who are generally about healthy living who buy energy drinks by cases.
that's not fair we in Poland only like have the original and zero sugar redbull
