I remember the rip it nuggers root berr drink what's the flavor is there a flavor at present
For Rip It? Usually a US Tribute cherry lime flavor, and one named "power". I can usually find that, buck energy, 3d energy, and G Fuel cans at the dollar tree.

Had a Juiced Monster Aussie Lemonade

Taste just like Lemonade Tea with add sugar and twice the caffeine punch. Oddly enough, almost no after taste.

New drink recommendations: Celcius made a cherry coke that tastes pretty good. It's a bit like store-brand soda, but doesn't have any wack aftertaste.
8/10
Just picked one up. Thank you for the recommendation.

I also picked up the new Alani Witches' Brew flavor, which looks to be caramel apple. I shall let y'all know how it tastes.

EDIT: I'd give the Alani a 7.5/10. The caramel flavor is spot on. The apple flavoring is there, I just wish it was a tad bit more tart.

There was a time in my life where I drank so much Monster that people knew me as 'the guy who drinks Monster'. It was really embarrassing. Nowadays I consider Monster something to drink if I need to, not if I want to, so I'll only have one once in a blue moon. I adore original Monster (like a guy posted in 2023, that first sip really does hit the spot) but my go-to is Ultra White. I've tried most Ultra flavours, and while some are delicious, none of them quite compare to white. My ranking, if you care, is white > violet > blue > fiesta > rosa > gold > paradise > black > red > orange. Haven't seen or tried the other flavours. I also liked Assault, which is the only energy drink I've had which actually gave me jitters, which was a novel feeling. Wasn't as keen on Ripper. Super Dry Nitro is pretty yummy, and I like how smoothly it rolls over the tongue. Zero sugar original is good but it doesn't hit like regular original does. The various Punch flavours aren't bad but I really need to have a sugar itch if I want one - current favourite is the recent Viking Berry, although it's really expensive so I've only had two since it came out.

I've never been able to get into Relentless, since it's too watery and I want to feel like I'm drinking battery acid if I have an energy drink with sugar. Red Bull is okay but it doesn't compare to Monster - tastes better with Jagermeister though. I've tried Rockstar a few times and it's never hit the mark. I tried Bang in the US and it was decent!

So I tried this because they do advertise monk fruit extract and I was curious what that tastes like since I have heard that stuff is a bit odd.

It tasted remarkably normal for a sugar free red-bull, and I wondered why.

Now the front of the can says "with monk fruit extract" but if you twiddle the can around to the back it says "and other sweeteners", which is right, because the 2nd ingredient after "carbonated water" is "erythritol", then 9th ingredient is "sucralose" and finally clocking in at the 12th ingredient is "monk fruit extract".

This is basically a the what the monster zero sugar flavors have for sweetener order and then they added a dab of monk fruit extract. Bottom line it's not weird at all so if the choice is between this and something truly unknown and possibly vile tasting it's a safe bet by comparison.

This does differ from typical Red Bull sugar free composition, which seems to only use Sucralose, so if for whatever reason you're concerned about the proliferation of erythritol they seem to be the primary company that avoids that ingredient most of the time.
Monk fruit sweetener is kind of expensive and is often mixed with other zero-calorie sweeteners to cut costs whilst also trying to reach the same sweetness levels as real sugar, I've seen bags of granulated monk fruit sweetener with either erythritol (which you should be somewhat careful with since it's been linked to increased stroke risk) or allulose (which is relatively fine AFAIK) and said bags tend to sell for around 12-16 bucks for a 16 oz bag.
Drank an energy drink around 200mg once. Body went 100% numb. That's not normal, right?
What was the brand? Some energy drinks contain beta-alanine that can cause an itching/tingling sensation in the skin for some people if it's chugged fairly quickly.

It’s probably the caffeine then since Celsius doesn’t have beta-alanine (it’s used in C4, Cellucor, and certain varieties of Bucked Up), IIRC Celsius uses anhydrous caffeine which can deliver a stronger kick.
Also isn't Celsius marketed as a "supplement" and not an energy drink?

I remember being somewhat perturbed when I bought some a while back and found all kinds of stuff I wasn't expecting in it when I read the back of the can (besides the kind of usual B6, B12, taurine, L-carnitine, and such) and then saw "supplement" on the can though marketing may have changed since, that was a few months ago.

That said, in general if you aren't a caff junkie 200mg could give you jitters as that's 2-4 cups of coffee (depending on a shitload of coffee variables) in a go.

But the actual formulation of things other than caffeine can have a way bigger effect. For example, I get a slight buzz from sugar free Monsters (160mg/can) that I don't get from sugar free redbulls (112mg/can) even if I slam 2 redbulls in a row, and the main difference seems to be the Monsters have L-Carnitine and a couple other things in them that Redbull does not have.

Spoiler Alert: they all taste like shit

Seriously, idk how you guys can drink these things without vomiting 🤮

Is this the one that used to have the pyramid on it? I haven't seen it around so I thought it was discontinued. Maybe they changed it. Because I remember the Ultra Gold being pineapple and I really liked it. The strawberry one I do not like. It tastes like those strawberry cream gummies and that doesn't translate well into a carbonated beverage. I liked ultra rose and now I can't find it anywhere. The blue Hawaii is good. But I only see it at Dollar General and this huge dollar and up Asian store. Maybe it's just not common in my neck of the woods.

I'm currently drinking a Bang Purple Haze. It's my favorite next to the peach mango. This stuff really wires me though. Celsius is just as caffeinated. I like the cherry cola flavor. Celsius makes me feel more wired though. And I am a total caffiend. I've been drinking coffee since I was four. But I got really into zero cal energy drinks a few years ago when it was too hot for hot coffee in the morning. I'm trying to cut back. But they are always on sale somewhere.

I think they sell Bang at my local convenience store, I'll have to pick some up next time I get the chance. I think the reason I avoided buying a can before was because of all the marketing on Tiktok.

Has anyone else had the Gorilla Mind energy drinks? My local gas station sells them, and I like them. They keep me wired but not jittery, and (so far) the only energy drink company to have a blackberry lemonade flavor, which is nice

Note to self: Dont eat potato chips. Dosent matter if its hours before bed, insomnia is a bitch.

On the bright side, perfect excuse to chug down a energy drink! this time...

Monster Ultra Fiesta Mango

Taste like my favorite Monster drink, Mango Loco so this is a good replacement for all suger free enjoyers.

Recently tried the Melting Forest mushroom D-stressor drink. No real aftertaste, it's like a La Croix that actually tastes like how they smell. And it genuinely tastes pretty smooth.
