If I ever go to America I'm gonna die of a fucking heart attack after trying all the different flavours we don't get.
If you ever do, the weirdest energy drinks are at filthy deep discount stores like Ollie's and Dollar Tree. They get test market stuff that's here today, gone tomorrow.

That, and gas station mini marts or local corner liquor stores. They get some crazy shit I've never seen anywhere else.

Anybody else dislike the original monster flavor (black can, green M)? I myself am a white monster or juice monster (mango loco and pipeline punch are my favorites) enjoyer.

As for other energy drinks I use: Thai Red Bull; Gorilla Mode energy (technically not an energy drink since its a powdered mix); coffee.

it pains me to see kids as young as 11-12 drink G-fuel and energy drinks. that stuff will fuck them up in so many ways (rotten teeth, sleeping issues, diabetes, high blood pressure, high heartrate, weight gain etc) caffeine is just legal low-grade coke in the grand scheme of things.

even i as an adult, feel sick drinking that stuff now and makes me way to hyper for my own good. imagine what it dose too kids.
Kids as young as 11-12 have prescriptions for high-grade amphetamine. Energy drinks, especially with sugar, aren't good for kids but comparing it to cocaine is insane.

Man that stuff is so gross 💀 I didn’t even like it when it first came out either, I just drank it sometimes and kept to coffee or soda.

These days I usually drink one Bang a day and the rest of the time it’s water, sparkling water, or tea tbh. As to flavors, my favorite is strawberry kiss, rainbow unicorn, the sour apple one and the blue raspberry one tbh. The strawberry one is great with a little vodka imo. If I can’t find bang, I’ll get reign or g-fuel.

This is the funniest part to me, I have no idea how monster got big because the OG is pretty fucking bad. I guess the field was pretty barren when they first started though, I remember Bawls being one of the few decent tasting flavors all those years ago and that was kinda hard to find.

Monster do make my favorite flavors of energy drink outside of the original flavors, most of the more exotic pure zeros (watermelon, "gold" the pineapple one, fiesta, peachy keen, and so on) and the monster juice flavors are almost universally excellent mixers outside of....I think it's Khaos?

Rockstar has gotten some interesting low cal flavors, but I don't need the extra 90mg of caffeine so I tend to go with monsters even though they are more expensive in general.

I like original Monster. I'm going to sound crazy by saying this and I know it but it tastes really good out of the big screwtop cans. IDK what it is. Like maybe it's aerated or something or maybe I'm a loony and it's all in my head.

I've been lowering my energy drink consumption, but I typically get Monster Rehabs. Used to be raspberry, then they stopped selling those, so I switched to lemonade.

Last time I got into drinking energy drinks (Monster Energy Ultra) I lost a fuckton of weight (I drank no sugar, since I have sensitive teeth). All that liquid and caffeine plus the sweet flavour made me not want to eat. With how my heart was beating out of my chest though, I'm just going to stick to diet and exercise this time. I still sometimes grab a limited time flavour or have the occasional Ultra or Red Bull, but it isn't a good idea to make a habit out of it.

Luckily, in my area, most of the stores won't sell energy drinks to anyone who looks under 16. Doesn't stop kids from ordering online, but it's better than nothing.

It’s also worth noting that, as far as G-Fuel is concerned, a lot of its adult drinkers are pushing for canned G-Fuel to be bumped down from 300mgs of caffeine per can to 140mgs per can. Heck, some canned versions are already being sold at that level.

But then again the worry is still there even with the drop for that age group, an upper level regarding caffeine and kids isn’t known but it’s generally accepted that kids should have less than 100mgs.

the sucralose "sweetener" in all the new energy drinks is disgusting and rockstar is the best beverage ever made, that is all.

All these shitty rainbow-colored can energy drinks on the market now are fucking awful. I agree with the sentiment about sucralose. (Ghost, Rise Up, etc.)

Not a fan of Rockstar or regular Monster either, they've got a weird aftertaste.

These days I'll have the occasional Red Bull, but I prefer NOS or a Monster Juice punch.

Has anyone else mentioned Kitu's vanilla super espresso? I've liked the stuff for a long time, better tasting than Monster or something like Reign. Don't know if coffee stuff like that counts, but I'll post it here because I figure beverages like this and standard energy drinks are the same basic idea.

So I tried the Cane Sugar rockstar with "Island Fruit" flavor. I was somewhat underwhelmed. It would have a good flavor but the energy blend somewhat overwhelms the subtle flavor. Same issue almost every dragonfruit flavor I've tried has had.
I understand the sentiment about sucralose because it's very possible to fuck up its use in low-cal drinks, I haven't tried Ghost or a lot of these smaller brand drinks because I see half the "definitely not steroids" supplement aisle at GNC in ingredients for the "energy blend", 400mg of caffeine, and nope out of there. Also if the low-cal sweeteners are used to the end of sweetening something that tastes like children's chewable vitamins...eehgch (ahem, Bang, or at least early Bang flavors).

That said, Sucralose with some other sweeteners like erythritol and appropriate use of citric acid works out pretty well flavor wise, it's why I like the Monster Ultra zero sugar flavors outside of...well...the original monster flavor. Also most of the Rockstar Pure zero flavors are pretty dece.

Zero sugar flavors are a very interesting balancing act and it's really easy to fuck them up, and not enough companies spend much time testing them out, methinks.

I really like this home-made "energy drink", but it's too harmful to the heart and kidneys to drink it often:
1) Get the cheapest available black tea in leaves;
2) Boil 500ml of milk;
3) Add 12 (yes, 12) tablespoons of tea leaves to the milk, stir for a minute or two;
4) Slow boil the concoction for 15-20 mins with the lid on (watch out for milk foaming)
5) Decant the thing, squeeze more out of leaves;
6) Add sugar/honey/butter/whatever;
7) DRINK! (in small servings)
This recipe is based on so-called "chifir", a tea brewed by prisoners. The key difference is milk. Milk proteins bind tea alkaloids, reducing nausea (a regular human can throw up after drinking regular water-based chifir) and making other side effects (tachycardia and sweating) milder.

Jesus Christ that sounds like a crackhead's version of a 5 Hour Energy drink.
About how much caffeine is in this Slavic concoction?
