Gonna talk android apps and which I've used.
I use roughanimator on android when doing bullshit animations. It's not really got any noteworthy features aside from it's intuitive timeline system (which I'm sure other apps have better systems for.) It's probably a bit overly simplistic with it's windows port though and you're better off exploring other options there. But it feels right at home on mobile systems and does what it needs to ok there. A
lso it does that fucking thing where it saves to Android/data which sucks.
I like sketchbook for a specific brush that just feels
right to draw with. Like it somehow feels perfectly analogous to drawing on a shitty bootleg micron pen thats got a fucky tip on my android tablet. Aside from that I find navigating through the app via touch to be kind of obtuse. Deleting a selected area really ought not to be something you should have to google in my personal opinion. Overall the app is aight though.
Infinite painter has hands down some of the nicest pencil brushes I've ever used. But the worst brushes in every other department. And they're not really customizable.
Krita - on Android is kind of a mess and not well suited to this ecosystem. Haven't got the hang of it, might be me. I'm used to it on PC but not here. It's also unusable on Android unless you have a
big android tablet due to the interface taking so much space. Once in a while you see it mentioned but never see anyone using it on Android unless to prove it exists.
Clip studio - look nice but the license system kinda pisses me off a lot. Lot of weird eccentricities with this software. Haven't used on PC to compare. Seems a little jumbled if you come from a Photoshop background. To me at least.
Superdisplay - is an important app because you can use your android as a Wacom tablet on windows, and is the smoothest option to do so, offering some of the fastest android USB c display software around. The problem is the guy stopped updating it and well it's buggy here and there now. Maybe always was. But Wacom drivers are like that in general. Try it for yourself and see if it works for you. Worked for me.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
