They're free to do art, we're free to laugh at them for it.

From what I've seen, most artcows are here because they're either so shitty of a person that we stalk them and find their terrible art (Luna Slater), or they make art that is so overtly niche fetish-based (RCDart and FtM transsexuals, CJThePikachu and inflation, Dollieguts and piss, mutilation, eyefucking... that girl is a mess) and people who do that are seriously fucked up in some way and always end up being a cow. So basically they are a cow that makes art or their art subject matter makes them a cow.

I've not seen any KF posters rag on thirteen year olds who are new to art or aspiring artists who aren't that good yet, but are good people- especially if they make it clear they're new to art and practicing. We have a lot of artists on KF and I can imagine that they're sympathetic to new artists. I can't think of an artist we shame for art ability alone.

Well I mean we make fun of Ugojessie, but we also acknowlege that he's a good person irl, even if his art strikes non-African viewers as a bit comical. But that's it.

There should be no boundaries for art. Anything should be open to be drawn, painted or animated.

Of course, that doesn't mean all art should be respected or that somebody shouldn't face consequences for especially heinous art. Shadman should probably have a vilified reputation for blackmailing Keemstar with his "art".

However, I also extend this to what most would call degenerate artworks, like rule 34 or any other weird shit people on the depths of the internet create. Now while it is fun to laugh at this stuff for how bizarre, weird, or stupid it is, and even I do it myself, I still think it should be defended as free speech. Just in general, I think any type of artwork should count as free speech.

You don't believe in freedom of expression or artistic freedom if you believe the government has a duty to wipe out "degenerate" ideas and don't believe in freedom if you believe the goverment should have carte blanche to crack down on "problematic" political views.

Honestly i find artistic expression to be as important as freedom of speech. As long as it isn't hurting anyone then whatever. I think we start to limit how and what types of things people can express or express themselves then you are just going to hurt our society as a whole. I personally hate the content of Shadman's art and to similar degree as Ben the loony but out side of the internet these people don't amount to much plus shitty and over-the-top art is fun to laugh at.

Then again my avatar is Otis the cow shooting Jizz and M.ilk all over himself so what do i know.
