Do You Want Kids? - General "Have Kids!" Sperging Thread [for or against that sentiment]

I'd like to have kids, but am seriously worried that things would turn out fucked regardless of my influence given the absolute state of the world. Also, my last relationship was nearly a decade ago and was a mess of codependence and me still being bluepill that shouldn't have lasted beyond high school.

I think the more we become meta-aware as a species the more nihilistic we are, which is part of the reason the "I hecking love science" crowd are a bunch of depressed faggots (despite their actual lack of scientific rigor).

Myself and Mrs. Jong want kids, but I will absolutely not have them in this god-forsaken shithole I currently live in and am from. I'd like to emigrate first, and have kids when I have a sort-of stable income and a house of some form. Shame it took me until my 30s to realise how much I hate this place, but better late than never. I'd rather become a father in my 40s in a place where there are better opportunities for my kids than become a father in my 30s and have them grow up in this miserable dump.

i was thinking about this a couple days ago actually and while i personally am not big on kids i would be willing if my wife wanted them. but even then i would only accept if i could be sure the kid would be actually taken care of. too many people have kids when they cant afford it or dont have the time to really spend with the kid.

They did though. The Roman state even tried to encourage families to have kids with tax incentives to no avail.

The bigger issue population wise disease, but mid-late Rome had low birth rates. Millions of people entered the clergy, killed their daughters (femicide) and just had less kids because they were a burden instead of an asset to the new urban laborer and slave populations.

I think about this a lot. I definetly want a kid to call my own, but probably my main obstacle is that I'm too picky with women.

Not in the sense that I find women "EVIL HARLOTS THAT ONLY EAT HOT CHIP, BE BISEXUAL AND LIE", but I just find most people kinda uninteresting in general lol. I really just love being a lonely prick... and yet, I also want to live and take care of a newborn for 18+ years. Go figure.

No. My bloodline is cursed, my gf doesn't want kids either and I don't have the mental state to deal with kids on top of working 40 hours a week. Maybe I'd reconsider if society wasn't a soul crushing anti-human hellscape hellbent on turning you into an overworked, drained husk of a human being. I've decided I'm living my own life on my own terms, granted this is a response to my shit childhood where I felt totally powerless.

Also I see modern parenting as yet another rat race to get your kid a decent career (which isn't even a guarantee). It didn't use to be like this.

I love children; they're wonderful. A parent gets to help them explore this giant brand-new world. My niece made me an origami fox and mailed it to me just because. Of course I want kids.

Having kids is great. I got two and they are the best thing in the world. Give you purpose not to fail them and be a better person. Definitely worry a lot about their future (so I can understand the sentiment from a lot of people in this thread) but you just have to give them the tools to survive. Without a doubt you aren't the first to in your line to have that concern and it sure as hell didn't stop your ancestors.

My honest dream to be able to sit at the head of a picnic table in my old age and see a long line of my kids, their kids and their kid's kid as they all wear "Jimjamflimflam family reunion" shirts (not black by the way). For those concern about age, I had mine at mid-30's, I wish I had them younger but its not the end of the line. Their's still time.

I realized I'm not even against single mothers, but they're always single in a vile way. 3 kids by 24 or blatant BBC chasing snowbunny with a niglet at 21.
