They sell something called Mountain Dew over here in Britfagistan, but it's a pale imitation of the real thing, so whenever I'm stateside I always try and grab as much as I can carry.

I love Mountain Dew unironically and I remember back when it was a redneck drink and not a nerd drink.

Given that I grew up in Appalachia and I'm a fan of anime and video games, it's not that much of a surprise that I enjoy Mountain Dew.

Of course, I drink it a lot less now than I did as a teenager. I've been drinking more water, both to save money and to live healthier.

The type of peach flavor of it reminded me of a candy and I couldn't place the taste, then I remembered.

It's the same flavor as those little sphere shaped french peach hard candies that would come in tins. Sweet Lightning tastes like a liquid version of those it's very good.

I remember growing up their was this mountain dew knock off that was really good. The only place you could ever find it was in ma and pa shops or other little holes in the wall. It was called volt or something.

For all the garbage marketing they've done with it I really like the blue gamer fuel. Those cans are complete bullshit and all the problems they attempt to solve were solved a long time ago by putting soda in a plastic bottle. All they do for it is make them cost more and causes the soda to spray out the top every time you open one, but it's good enough that sometimes I accept it. I think a lot of people do too because I once went looking for one and had to go to 4 stores before I could find them in stock.

The red gamer fuel is awful and it tastes like cherry cough syrup. Don't buy it.

I only like the mountain dew slush drinks, for some reason it makes it easier to deal with.

Out of curiosity I tried the "liberty brew" today and holy shit that was a mistake. The taste is simply indescribable and it leaves you with the aftertaste of nuclear waste. The only thing that I could say to do it justice would be it's like a kid who mixes his drinks at the soda fountain, but all of the drinks are mountain dew flavors and one cough syrup flavor.

Voltage is my favorite, as I love raspberry, but it has brominated vegetable oil, like all dyed citrus sodas have, and that shit is terrible for you. Caffeine fucks me up too, so I really shouldn't do the dew.
