Yeast in sachets lasts even longer, but it's more expensive than buying yeast in a jar. Given that I only use yeast maybe half a dozen times a year, the sachets work out more cost effective (and less wasteful) for me.
What would the bast place to buy sachets of yeast?

Or roll chunks of it into cake balls.
Cake pops were wildly popular for a while. You want compacted cake, so this would be perfect.
you can buy dried yeast, it has a shelf life of many months
You can keep the jar type in the freezer for up to a year if you make sure to close it up airtight. Take what you need out of the frozen jar and let the serving unthaw gently.

If you want to bake but don't have baking soda make a "mudcake"
