These pictures are so cool! I love the behind the scenes stuff of movies and in animation I love to hear all the stuff they went through to get it to look right, as well as the ideas they threw out.

I'm sure there was alot of pre-production work just getting this look to what they wanted. I'm sure the idea of making Hook slightly less human or human-like was in keeping with the alien species that could populate the setting of the story. Keeping Jim and his mother human seemed necessary and perhaps put them in an outsider perspective among a galaxy of weird beasts like Silver.

On topic, I think Andrea's problem is that she either can't caricature or has no non-tracing abilities. Her drawings of people on her deviant art (and presumably the animals she draws as her business) all lookpretty good with the exception of Jodie Benson who is uncanny. However her drawings of cartoons are just weird. Her lack of ability could be seen as her just tracing and shading her pictures but she could just fail at knowing what to exaggerate. I'd post pics but mobile hates me

Would be nice to know what those pics are, doing things on mobile does suck though with needing to mess around to find it.

I suppose the problem for her is one of not having drawn free-handedly or from memory, if she has to rely closely on what stills or drawings she could find elsewhere and go from there. Being able to draw an original character all your own without any refernece is certainly a challenge, especially in character design. Being off-topic here, there's a guy I know who does such a great job at this, it leaves me speechless. He sometimes kept asking for my opinion and I hate to admit I really have nothing critical to say of his work as it far exceeds what I can do. He certainly could get a job at any studio easy with a portfolio filled with dynamic sketches like this....

Anyway, didn't see it pointed out here, but she attempted to redraw the Greatest panel of her sex comic based off of a redline someone gave her. Was very glad to find the old version of it here for comparison.

I guess a bee stung her eyelids and bottom lip, since they're HUGE now. And lopsided. tfw someone gives you a redline and you make an already terrible panel look worse.

Man she always sucked at drawing these scenes, and this here is just awful. I mean, it's great she takes criticism now, but it doesn't seem to improve her art lately.

Funny enough, I think I like her traditional stuff better.

Since there haven't been many announcements about it around the web, I shall write about it here.
It is sad news.

On the 20th of this month, Brian Murray, whom we know as the voice of John Silver of 'Treasure Planet' passed away from natural causes at the age of 80.

It is sad for the lovers of the theater as he was a great stage actor for many many years. Even though he was only nominated the Tony award more than twenty times, many other stage actors shall be playing in his shadow.

Of course I know many of us fans of his amazing character John Silver will miss him greatly. With his magnificent voice and 'silvery' tongue, he brought one of the greatest Disney characters to life. A character who taught us that when life gets you down, you must never give up on it because you have the makings of greatness in you, but you must take the helm and chart your own course. Stick to it, no matter the squalls!

And now Brian Murray is immortalized through John Silver as all actors are through their characters.
I for one am saddened, being one of John Silver's biggest fans, but I will not remain this way because Brian Murray's talents on the stage, on film, and through his voice were legendary and legends never die.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Brian Murray. And thank you for everything.

That is what she interpreted from the character?! Robert Louis Stevenson made it clear that the character's only drop of kindness or compassion for others was for Jim-- he literally tried to murder every single other protagonist.

Yes, I am going to soon introduce a new original character to be joining the gang in my story real soon now. After thinking it over for quite some time I had realized that through such a rough mission the gang is going to be in need of a doctor some times.

Therefore, I decided to create female doctor character that will be sent by Marina's father to join the mission.
I decided on a female because I was starting to feel that it's becoming a little awkward for Marina to be the only female among the gang on this journey.
I was thinking a lot of Dr. Livesey from R.L. Stevenson's 'Treasure Island' and kinda decided with that name.
I came up with a great design for her and I hope she will be satisfactory with all of the fans of my story.

Once I submit the drawing of her design eventually, I really hope that I will get some helpful criticism about her and her character. For those who will be helping me, let's hope for the best that she'll work out okay.
My fingers are crossed.

Yeah, u better cross them, because simple luck definitely helped ya much more than constructive criticism!no On the other hand, this second female character has more potential to have an interesting personality than Marina due to DF's stubbornness to change anything major about precious herself main oc.

Well, I want her to be a part alien, part human, but her race lives a REALLY long time that she is perhaps more than 200 years old, but looks like a woman in her 40s or 50s. Being part of a race of intelligence, she has more than one medical degree. Besides, being a doctor in a universe where there are so many kinds of races and species, she has to be an expert in not just human medicine, but in animals and other alien races. So she will be kinda like a surgeon/vet/psychologist/xenobiologist. After all, when you're a doctor who lives for a really long time, you gotta have more than one degree.
She is one who is really easy to talk to and can keep the greatest of your secrets, but she can have quite the attitude at times. Being one who had a number of relationships in her past, she can be quite the love expert, but she can be very devoted to her friends. If anyone was to physically or mentally hurt a friend or family member, she can be quite the fighter.

Tbh, I wanted DF add some female characters for a long time, but no matter what this will be still cringeworthy based on her plans.

Let that sink in the time flow and wish DF good luck inspiration!
