Discontinued foods that we don't miss. - Opposite of discontinued foods that we miss.

I really don't miss Gingerbread Snap'd and Fruit Quake, the "original" Christmas-themed MTN Dew flavors. They were okay-ish for a bottle but once the novelty wears off you realize they taste awful. We almost had one this year (it would've been a mix of berry and candy cane flavors) but thankfully PepsiCo realized that the more recent holiday flavors were terrible and replaced its release for two Game Fuel flavors.
Kool-aid had something similar around the time these cookies were sold, it was a concoction that had a cool sensation when you drank it. I distinctly remember some kid in the commercial chimping out and saying "IT'S COLD BUT THERE'S NO ICE". I tried it and it was off-putting. The best way I can describe it as an adult is like it was mentholated Kool-aid. It didn't stay on shelves for long.
I remember that, the name of that specific Kool-Aid variety was called Kool-Aid Ice Cool. Unlike some people I actually liked it. They also had two other varities (Invisible and Color Twist) that have been discontinued as well.
mentholated kool aid. That's what it was. In the 90's you could poison kids so long as you made money.
Funnily enough the cooling sensation found in Kool-Aid Ice Cool isn't from menthol, it's from an artificial flavoring.
Wonka Bars.

The chocolate was hard and stale. Plus, the candy was rather expensive, despite it just being the safest chocolate. Couldn't understand what was so "difficult" about the recipe that they discontinued it in 2014. The more likely option is that the Wonka fad from 2005 was long gone. Although they may come back with the recent success of "Wonka" in December 2023. May Allah protect and guide us.
I recently saw these Wonka-branded top hat-shaped gummis at a Kroger-owned market. They're okay but some of 'em have this blue liquid in 'em that turns your tongue blue.

I keep seeing these in Albertson's and Smith's (and even movie theatre concession stands last month). I never even bought them... at least yet

I'm too lazy too look if someone said it, but the spider-man elastic popsicle I had at school. The catch was it didn't supposed to melt, but the texture was n.a.s.t.y. Like a cold slimy tongue without any flavor.

Edit: proof of how disgusting it is :

Última edición:
Those Giant Cheetos, especially the Flamin Hot variant. They were unwieldy, directions unclear if I was supposed to hork the entire thing into my maw and risk spice inhalation and asphyxiation, or eat it like an apple.

They cut the shit out of your mouth when eating, too. I'm pretty sure I have gum recession because for some retarded reason, I thought they were the tits and bought a bag from the school vending machine at least once a day.

I miss 3D Doritos, I distinctly remember there was a chili cheese flavor and I loved them despite making my hands smell like feet for the rest of the day after clearing a pouch, so clearly I have shit taste.

Tacos from hamburger fast-food restaurants such as Jack in the Box and Burger King. Growing up I recall how delicious these tacos were. Perfect snack at an affordable price. 2 for 99¢. How could I complain? Well, Jack in the Box went down in quality and Burger King got rid of their tacos. Once they brought them back they tasted foul. I'd buy the Monster Taco from Jack in the Box from Halloween. Better than the 2 for 99.

Monster Zero Red. Nasty with a long artificial sweetener aftertaste.
weird, this is still sold everywhere where i live. :)

I have never tried it because i prefer other Monster Ultras but they give me a lot of nostalgia; I had a friend in highschool who would always bring a can to class . I would usually decline everytime she offered me a sip but the one time I didn't I think I regretted it, it tasted like cough syrup lol

I kind of like the artificial aftertaste zero monsters have though:evil:; it isn't metallic like coke.

Crystal pepsi sucked specifically because the caramel coloring adds a bit of bitterness that helps tamp down how cloyingly sweet it is otherwise. When you remove it it just tastes off balanced.

That purple and green ketchup. It didn't taste that off, but the color was just so unsettling. I might have been too old for the target demographic when it came out though.
In elementary school our lunch room was in the gym, one time apparently the janitor missed mopping a spot of purple ketchup and I fell in it during gym and smelled like ketchup the rest of the day. It made me hate all ketchup for most of my childhood

Kids "Cuisine" was foul, the corn was always cold the brownie/fudge? would be burnt and nuclear reactor hot out the microwave and everything else didn't taste like anything at all.
happy to see this is something that doesn't show up in the isles anymore.
I don't think they were meant for you ("Kids" is in the title). I had a gf with a small child and he was a very picky eater. These were an easy lunch to make for him (and didn't taste any worse to me than your average TV dinner). Also I think your microwave was borked because I never had a problem heating them up. Anyway, no longer with that gf, so no more picky kid, so IDGAF if these got discontinued.

Where did you buy yours, a dollar store or something? I used to find them at Toys R Us a few decades ago and they were pretty decent candy bars (kind of rich like Cadberry) and the packaging was a fun novelty.

Did they bring Wonka back? As far as I knew the company was eventually bought by Nestle who quietly killed the brand name.

OK Soda.

I do not miss OK Soda.
I miss OK Soda. Not drinking it (it was terrible) but just the fact that it existed because it was weird and fun and they had a free 1-800 joke number. I used to have a sheet of their free "stickers" (they were actually stamps you had to lick) that they gave away in local newpapers. Just remember: everything will be OK!

I bought them at Toys R Us like you. No wonder they were bad.
