I’m still going to. I owe it to my Titan, but I will be bullying any faggots I see wearing the fag emblem.
My desire to see marathon, bungie and sony totally humiliated on tuesday overrides my disdain for their usual faggot shit.

I’ll probably just log in and sit there in the tower or something.

Tuesday + Marathon's open week ending like 2/3 days later is going to leave their playercount BTFO'd lmao

It really is saying something that despite another free week (plus a couple days) for the new Marathon season and the fact that the final D2 update isn't even out yet, D2's population trend has continued rising steadily and has been overtaking Marathon for the past few days, on the weekend no less! I'm not gonna say that it's proof of a massive resurgence of Destiny players, but I am gonna say that it shows that whoever it was at Bungie or Sony that axed development, they fucked up. (Green is Marathon, blue is Destiny 2.)

Population.report is showing the uptick as well, with daily users approaching where it was at the low points of TFS. Again, it's not a resounding resurgence, but it's showing that a lot of people still want to play Destiny despite all the bullshit over the years, and they're continuing to make their presence known. Will it change anything? I'm not really optimistic, especially if Jason Jones is still calling the shots, but you never know. Of course, even if it does, it'll be years before we see anything else in the series, so no sense in speculating for a while.

I'm still on for Total Bungie Retard War because it's funny. Even if you do nothing else, just showing up and hanging out in the Tower on Tuesday is plenty. Here's hoping for six-figure concurrents.

I had a discussion about this in Sneedchat. One thing that would be fitting to place at the end of Destiny 2 to bridge the gap between it and a theoretical Destiny 3 would be a Season/Age of Reclamation where for the first time in the story, Humanity goes on a large scale offensive BTFO'ing all our enemies in the Solar System to reclaim it. It would allow for the setting to move outside of Sol into fresh, new locations. Since D1 released the story has followed a pattern of us almost always being the underdog on the backfoot against the latest invader/threat in the solar system (Oryx, Ghaul, Pyramids, Witness, etc) so it would be a fresh to have a change to that status quo. I think the largest Human offensive we've ever seen in the game was the opening mission for Shadowkeep which was just us in a tank with some frames wielding rocket launchers on our side and a single gunship.

Since D1 Humanity hasn't expanded past the City, and the now almost 9 years old damage to the City and original Tower hasn't been repaired yet. It would finally change with this season, with both a return to a revamped D1 tower and a visual revamp of the City below, being greatly expanded and having all Red War damages fixed. There would also be a new seasonal hub overlooking a new Human settlement that you would help build up with the resources you would loot from your attacks on the enemy. It would be seen expanding with each weekly reset, going from a tent city at the start to a proper walled settlement with defences, agriculture and industries by the end (Maybe the Farm could be used for this? It would have a basis as a previous Guardian/Normie refuge so it would be fitting to be the location for this.

The activities would consist of assaulting enemy locations to destroy/displace them. Red Legion firebases, Fallen Ketches/Land Settlements, Hive ships and keeps, and lastly the Vex Network with it being explained that a method for severing/jamming them from the Solar System was discovered by the Splicers/Cryptarchs, maybe with aid from Asher Mir. Lore books and item lore in this season would further expand on this, telling stories of how our guys were all expanding e.g. House of Light taking over House of Dusk/Salvation settlements and ships, and accepting defectors, same for Caital's Legion taking over Red Legion. In terms of allied Vex there is Asher and there could be another mission related to him, helping him gain more control over the Vex Network. For friendly Hive, Luzaku could found her own faction of Last City-aligned Lucent Hive.

Lastly, the Season of Reclamation would end with a rebirth of the Warmind. Killing off Rasputin was one of the worst things done by Bungie writers in the last couple years. They created a character with an insane level of firepower that would be able to change the balance in Humanity's favor only to then discard him to preserve that status quo, only powering him up to destroy The Almighty before throwing him away. Although the main Rasputin was killed off, Ana could take one of his Subminds and modify it using the original Rasputin code to create a new Warmind. Charlemagne, the original Cosmodrome Warmind would be the most fitting one. Although the Warsat network was destroyed in Season of The Seraph, the infrastructure for it remains and can be brought back online to create a new network. There could be an exotic mission where we travel to Hellas Basin on Mars to regain control over the Braytech facilities and link Charlemagne to Rasputin's infrastructure. The season would end with us facing our enemies in their final stands against us, now with Warsat support helping us by doing shit like lasering the fuck out of them, e.g. Cabal tries to throw a ship at us in a suicidal attempt to kill us only for it to get lasered out of the sky. Same with destroying Fallen Ketches and Hive ships.

With all our enemies in the Solar System fleeing, brought under our heel, or destroyed, it would be time for a Monument of Triumph, with us celebrating our victories while clearing up whatever remained of them. Humanity was finally safe to expand, with the Warmind taking over defence of the Solar System while the Guardians expand beyond it. Searching for answers to stuff such as the Fate saga and the Nine, as well as completely new stuff in Destiny 3. Although the death of the Earth is now on hold with the explanation that the Traveller has returned to the City and is probably using its terraforming powers to sustain it, this could be restarted for D3, with it being explained that the Traveller cannot sustain the Earth forever and that we finally have an idea on where to look for answers. The seasonal title would be Reclaimer.

"Hey guys we know you are all having fun breaking our dead game, but you can only have fun in ways we prescribe even when the game is dead and the service is over so we're ruining your fun, get fucked."
Love, Bungo.
on twatter there are people gargling their dick over this decision, well, it's june anyway so this type of faggotry is not unexpected...

Fuck this gay company, they've been doing everything in their power to have me wish upon their demise. I hope Sony gets back to its Japanese roots and orders their seppuku, while they financially rape Jason Jones.

I quit after Witch Queen because I couldn't stomach the faggotry they kept piling on the lore and have no desire to get back. I'll be playing the Halo remake in July just as a fuck you to these faggots and troons.

I was one of the crazy ones that did it legit. I still wear that emblem on my titan to this day. (I had a laugh when some rando who got mad at me for some reason accused me of boosting for it.)
I've googled it and reddit post came up:

"Heavy as Death" emblem from Iron Burdened after 2500 kills would require, on average, 178.5 kills per day for 2 weeks... worth?

You are crazy son of a bitch :achievement:, the various sources say that only 0.1% players (~5k) have it, but I assume it is one who use various Destiny related websites.

Also I've found post which complains that this emblem is not counting as Iron banner emblem for the loot buff :story:

about right yeah, their immense faggotry is what burned any smidge of sympathy i could possibly have for them and i only hope to see them being utterly raped and blacklisted from the games industry until every single dev that has touched this shit company fucking dies.

i'll go to the tower after the final update just to sad trumpet any faggot in there trying to be sad.

I wanted to join the patch day just to pay respect, but fucking Bungie still don't allow Linux players. It is barely talked about, but why would you don't allow Linux and more importantly Steam Deck players in your damned hamster wheel requiring non-stop grind? Just imagine, they could've make people to play not only on PC and consoles but also on toilet seat, in the bed and all places around. Bungie last many years was not in the great condition to cut any amount of players (also CIS players, but whatever).
