Fortunately (?) most departments in the state of New York are pretty quick to add people to national databases for unidentified people (such as NamUs) and usually give what they can about the indavidual. Idk if Etika has tattoos or any distinctive physical features, but if he doesn't you can be damn sure that there's gonna be half a dozen armchair detectives trying to link him with every John Doe on the eastern seaboard.
 
at this point I think there is a good chance he's shuffled off this mortal coil. however if he isn't really dead, I don't think he did it as a prank, rather its just the expected behaviour of an unmedicated manic-depressive/schizophrenic. I find it hard to believe this could be some 4d chess move, given the evidence its apparent that he doesn't have the capacity to be planning anything more complex than breathing and eating

so if he does turn up alive I don't think we can really pin any motive on him. best case for all involved is that he is found and immediately committed indefinitely
 
This was about the time I was expecting a body to be found if it would be.

If it's not, Etika may very well have just disappeared. Maybe we'll hear stories of him having disappeared to Argentina like Hitler
 
Its feasible that a bag of belongings could go undisturbed and un-reported for several days on the Manhattan bridge path.


It's the second most famous bridge in NYC, but compared to the adjacent Brooklyn Bridge, it has virtually zero tourist activity.

In the middle of the day, while the Brooklyn Bridge's walkway is virtually impassible with selfie stick swinging tourists, I've walked across the Manhattan Bridge and at times not encountered a single other person.

The people who do walk that bridge are typically actually have places to go, and are not stopping to take photos or pay attention to shit like bags, and due to the lack of tourists and lack of cops (i've never seen any on that bridge), duffel bags and backpacks of belongings left by vagrants arent uncommon, and people tend to leave that shit alone out of fear of starting a fight with some unkempt homeless guy, and they're several nooks along the bridge where homeless guys tuck in.

Once I saw a open duffel bag full of Kung Fu VHS tapes sit on the walkway undistrubed for days, and thats just one example.



Its possible however that if Etika didn't really jump, he handed the bag off to an accomplice to plant on the bridge several days after the disapperance.


Additionally, the Switch has interchangable side-controllers, and he has a small collection of these in many rare and uncommon colors, the colors of the Switch system found in the bag on the bridge don't really prove or disprove anything in regards to if he dropped a "secondary" Switch while keeping his "real" one.

Mark my words: if word gets out that this nigga Etika is still alive after all this media buzz and fear mongering by Keemstar and the like, he will not recover.

Like any other streamer lolcow, he'll have his handful of paypiggies, but he'll never be as famous or beloved as he was before. Etika will join the ranks of Ethan Ralph and DSP.

If he's actually gone down the an hero path, that's a whole other story. But if all this tearful oinking from his fanbase on Reddit and Twitter was for nothing, I guaran-fucking-tee he will never be a successful streamer again.
