To all the people here saying "well maybe Null should've just gave into their demands a little bit as a treat," you must be new here. I'll mention two names you probably aren't familiar with: Samuel Collingwood Smith ("Vordrak") and Donald Carlos Seoane ("Donny Long").

Who are they? Well, many years ago, these two spearheaded what was, at the time, the largest coordinated effort to take the site down. Vordrak did so via vexatious litigation and calling in fake terrorist threats, but didn't really get anywhere until allying with Donny. Donny, whom Null once described as a "maelstrom of drugs" with "no sense of exhaustion," got Null's mom fired from her job and relentlessly harassed his family, going as far as to track down members of his extended family whom he'd never even met. Null, not wanting them dealing with this bullshit, took the site down. That should've been that, but Donny didn't stop. Even though he got exactly what he wanted, he kept on doing what he was doing. Null promptly brought the site back.

The point of what I'm saying is that if you give these pieces of shit a millimeter, they'll take the length of the pacific ocean. You can cave to their demands and give them exactly what they want, but that isn't enough for them. They have to completely destroy you, and go scorched earth because they're psychotic bullies who are unironically evil.

It will never stop to amaze me how big of an internet boogeyman is this site in the eyes of uninformed normgroids, all because it decided to use force against a sacred cow of the times, as in, make it responsible for its own retarded or vile acts on the web. Its lauded as le muh evil website that for some reason makes you want to kill yourself, all because it decided to archive the most unsavory acts done by the most protected denizens of the internet and its userbase is unpunished for saying "NIGGER" and hating trannies on daily basis. Keep fighting, Null, just seeing zoosadists, pedos, loony troons and other scum whine and seethe about KF exposing who they are is worth it.

Honestly not a bad idea, they could have connections with (even local) law enforcement depending who you pick. I'm not optimistic about this for foreign actors though. Probably been suggested already.

Horrible idea, random Tor Browser users will absolutely get owned this way. Malicious exit nodes can MITM by redirecting to a phishing onion site and intercepting traffic, if the user doesn't check for the correct onion address (which they don't know if they're doing this). The logo will not help you, they'll replace the logo too, scammers do this all the time for eg phishing darknet markets. You should turn this off or enforce TLS ASAP. This is somewhat less dangerous for Brave users because (I assume) the http redirect will be served normally through clearnet instead of hitting exit nodes.

I can use Tor if I wanted to, but the truth is I dont want too. If pursuing "free speech" or whatever is done here now requires me to use the same network as hardcore pedophiles, terrorists, criminal organizations and drug operations, is a hard no. Giggling at low IQ retards here is just not worth that kind of willing exposure to the worst elements of humanity.
Its been a wild ride, but there are some places I will not go.

This is an insane take. Throughout history, people have had to meet in secret in the back rooms, cellars, and secret rooms of bars, cellars, and other establishments. The fucking Founding Fathers of the United States had to meet in secret while planning to break away from Great Britain. The Apostles and early Christians had to meet and pray in secret. These people would do so with the knowledge that if they got found out, they'd be executed.

And here you are, lamenting not being able to use a website, when all you have to do is go to Tor Browser, click "Connect", type in "sneed.now", click "Continue", then bookmark the URL so you don't have to do half of those steps again, and then browse the site like normal? All this under no threat to your safety or health?

IMO he already tried to tone down the edginess too much, probably lessened its growth because less interesting/edge, and got omegahammered anyway
