DC Comics Multimedia General - A crisis of infinite fuck ups

There was a show on the CW called The 100 which was based on a series of teen dystopian books and in the show, they turn the protagonist Clarke into a bisexual woman who hooks up with a lesbian warrior. When the actress of the lesbian warrior left the show, they killed her off and that caused the CW fandom to sperg hard.

That Riverdale show where Archie and Jughead are angsty assholes had Betty and Veronica hook up as a fling in the end of the show.

Archie comics got me into comics when I was five and there was even a line of Archie comics that had the character giving out lessons from the Bible, seeing the CW turn something that pure into degenerate garbage hurt.

I hated how they turned the show into a moody, edgelord mystery show like Pretty Little Liars.

Grant Gustin made a pretty good Flash, shame he was stuck on a show like that.

One thing I hated about Iris is she never treated anyone else like their feelings could be valid. I mean take this scene, Barry isn't comfortable making out in front of other people and he really isn't comfortable because the guy that just entered the room is a father figure to both of them. Some guys are like that and there is nothing morally wrong with it and if the roles were reversed and she were the one who didn't want to make out "No" would mean "No" and pushing for a "Yes" would be treated as a form of abuse but here she treats Barry like dirt for having this point of view and then keeps pushing him to do something sexual he doesn't want to do and more or less implies their relationship will be in trouble if he doesn't do what she wants.

Almost every time Iris was on screen it made my blood boil and it was her actions that did that. I liked Joe, I really wish she hadn't been in the show and we had just gotten more scenes of Barry and Joe working together.

I heard good things from CW Superman, but I never have it a chance because I knew how ridiculously woke Supergirl and Batwoman ended up being

By that point I just didn't trust them to watch any of it . Also to be honest their format of teams with each superhero having their inner circle of cheerleaders never worked for me. And I would argue it just made them all worse for the sake of soap opera drama.

Having a sidekick or Alfred is one thing. But Can you imagine how terrible the Battison or Nolan films would be of they had a soap opera style "team Batman" behind them?

It might work for some heroes, even Batman has had Oracle helping him. But the CW over used this format as as a lazy crutch.
