A lot of what would become the Nazi party was there already. They evolved further later but it did exist in a primitive form. People forget that Lenin and his ideals influenced the National Socialists. Mainly structurally and in terms of methods but they did have roots in WW1. Don't forget that much of the Nazi command fought in during the Great War.

The Nazis had mannerisms of German military upper class, Luddendorf is German military upper class. He behaves the same because he is. Our idea of "mustache twirling villain" comes from Germany during both WWs.

Technically it came from an exaggerated depiction of British officials. But no, there's a difference between "by the book military officer" and "General Deathshead under a different name and in a different time period".

I am not sure what is wrong with having an over the top villain in a comic book movie, I mean the DCEU clearly doesn't take place in our universe and I recently rewatched the movie and he is one of the more enjoyable things in the movie.

If anything comic book movies need more villains like him and fewer guys in suites or guys with tragic backstories.

That is the one thing I will give both of the previous Lex Luthors we have had on film, they at least understood their character were the villain and I did like the fact that Gunn's Luthor seemed to know he was the villain and had no problem with that. I liked him a lot more than Gunn's Soyman.

I admit that I’m more of a DC fan than a Marvel fan because of the Dark Knight movies and Synder’s Watchmen. They made me become a fan of the DC multiverse.

Yeah, remember Hitler didn't even create the NAZIs, he learned about them when he was sent to spy on them and most of them were ex-military. Hitler was then groomed to be a leading speaker by them when the leadership saw how readily he took to their teachings and what a powerful public speaker he could be. Heck in 1919 Hitler was a registered communist, so he didn't event the NAZIs. Their ideals already existed in the German military, they just didn't form their own party until after the war.

The NAZIs didn't just come out of nowhere in the late 1920s as is depicted in most films and the German army did commit what we would see today as war crimes in WW1. If they had a gas that they believed would win the war in 1918 they would have used it, we know because they were the first to use gas weapons in the war.

the riddler needs a smart writer to make him an effective villian. but since its hard to engineer a great crime with the requisite riddles and shit, he gets relegated to joke villian.

He's pretty much been grandfathered in as one of the most iconic Batman villains, but not a lot of writers know what to do with him.

It didn't help that most of the actual superhero stuff was just copying Superman stories. Did you know they used the Black Mercy plot for an episode in the first season alone?

Even in the lauded DCAU she is mostly remembered for people wanting to ship her with Bruce.

Melissa Benoist at least looked pretty in the CW series and had charisma.

Problem was the show was the worst woke propaganda had to offer.

Melissa is pretty yes, but I would argue she was still a poor fit from the role overall.

Even without all the wokeness, she was basically just Clark in a skirt, but worse. It was obvious the writers were less interested in Kara and more in "proving" a woman could replace Clark and outdo him.

Being pretty is only halfway, I would argue. There's a reason she is not called Superwoman besides branding, While it's inevitable actresses age, in her personality there should be some youthful edge that makes her different from Clark's adult.

Trying to make her female Clark is missing the point. She is not Clark and she shouldn't be.
