Never mentioned either Alice or the Batwoman show! @Newcomer 42 referenced a character named Joker's Daughter and she was used for Gotham Knights (again, not the game) which I imagine many here have never heard of as it was even worse than the Batwoman show.

I kid you not, it was beyond dreadful. There were only two cast members out of all of them who showed any promise at all, and that was the Joker's Daughter actress and the Pooner actress who literally had mastectomy scars - but weirdly was actually quite a good actress.

It's some of the worst TV I have ever seen. You do not want to see what their take on Stephanie Brown was like. It was to Batwoman what Batwoman was to Smallville. That's how bad it was.

Ultramassive Black Hole. Superman should be less awkward than this. Also, shouldn't there be a way for his parents to teach him Kryptonian? They taught him so much else. The FoS should be little harder than this.

Not in this one, the only thing they tried to teach him was to enslave humanity and they managed to fuck that up too.

Yeah that's why I ask, I'm sure there are aspects of it that are shit that I didn't even notice. It's multi-layered. That's why I'm appealing to the top minds here to better comprehend its shittiness in full. For a brief clip with only two characters, there's a lot to unpack.

Why couldn't Superman have just stopped at "Sorry, I don't speak Kryptonian" instead of rambling? You had a decent joke ruined by bad improv.

Also, he is way too casual greeting the only other Kryptonian in existence who is most likely going through a lot right now. Maybe he learned about her arrival in advance, but it still doesn't excuse him from treating this scared teenager like he's showing a new roommate around.

Forget the parents. What about any of the robot servants in the Fortress of Solitude? None of them have the Kryptonian language in their database?

From the ground on up, the Gunnverse has been wrong but it’s Superman is the opposite of how he should be.

Honestly every character so far is wrong. It tracks with his MCU work where everyone was rewritten into something different and gayer. He doesn’t adapt, he forces everything into the same redditry box.

All the more reason to teach him a language only he knows. I know about the enslavement, I just do not understand why not teach him Kryptonian. It would help him set himself apart from humanity. Gunn doesn't get anything!

If they had done Superman correctly, that movie would have been so much better and the foundation for the rest could be established. DC doesn't work if Superman is a bitch. DC doesn't work if you play it as a joke. You have to be earnest with it, because it is so strange, so different from Marvel. The second you start lampshading it, it all falls apart.

Thanks for reminding me that season one had all of Batman's Robins at the same orphanage and all getting pushed aside so Carrie can be the real first robin.

@Overly Serious And the Gotham Knights show also made Carrie the first robin. Was there a really big surge of Carrie fans in the last decade?
