I feel bad for picking on a no view, but I got recommended it the other day alongside a slew of other Superman essay fodder videos and this one stuck out the most.

Unlike The Marvels, which was the apotheosis of FemSheU storytelling, the blame can be squarely blamed on James Gunn's twitter. If Zaslav is half as smart as people think he is, Gunn will probably be demoted. No idea who will replace him and I'm of the opinion there shouldn't be a "head of DC media" to begin with. Return to the old studio system of selecting directors based on impressing producers and build a DCU out of the winners regardless of the tonal whiplash in media.

Soyperman is available for digital streaming as of today, moving up from the original August 26th release date. Warner Bros. will say this a good thing.

The cope already is about how Zack killed the brand, so this Superman is working off far less goodwill than the previous, which at least had the Dark Knight trilogy to prop up DC prior to release. Being fair, that is a genuine issue and one that has hit most DC films since Aquaman. Warner tanked their brand by releasing Justice League in the state it was in and need something to begin the pullout.

Issue I take with James Gunn is that his slate is pretty pathetic even if Superman is a good base. Not enough heavy hitters have projects yet and too much focus on no names.
