Pre-stream included a 7 minute rant about how terrible Facebook is.
Zuckerberg apparently had to appear before congress because of 'how people were using his site'. It's because they were selling data.
But notice Phil's phrasing; it's his fantasy. That a site owner will be called to congress because people are using their platform to bully people. Watch out Susan Wojcicki, Phil is going to make sure you testify before congress for allowing all of those illegal restreams that attack his girlfriend.

Though he went on to assert that the dox harvest was just because of the Farms, and not any responsibility of his forum. It was the users' fault for posting personal information online. Did Zuck try that defense? Regardless, I agree, people should be careful about posting experiment videos in Subarus and getting salty when they get mentioned.

He also just shat on the 'fan discord', saying it failed. Part of that was BSV going in there and trying to seize control in the name of the ham prince.

EDIT: In a segment between Youtube recordings (remember, he posts everything to Youtube), Phil is asking his chat if they like the shorter prestreams, and that he has been consciously trying to keep them short. Contributions have apparently not been affected (which was what he claimed would suffer when insulting those who suggested it, not that Phil was talking out of his ass or making excuses). Phil is going to try to 'stick to his guns', unless there is a lot to talk about.

I never saw that playthrough, but I can so easily visualize Phil bumbling his way through monster fights because he can't figure out monster attack timing or how to capitalize on them. I would pay good money to watch him rage at trying to fight a deviant or arch-tempered monster in MHGU or MHW respectively.

Let’s put it this way, he borequit MH4U when he found out just how much content the game has and he didn’t want to do it. I mean, it’s a fair point, but I think it’s far more likely that he was starting to realize that he couldn’t simply brute force his way through the game like everything else he does.

What if Kat asked how much of the stream cash she was getting and Phil flipped the fuck out?

Edit: An additional thought, remember when Dave was blaming airline companies for 9/11 after Kat had some issue with flights? But dont you dare victim blame him! Trolling is terrorism.

I'd like to believe. Jezal seems like a decent guy and he has stuck to his principles longer than most.

But he has to realize that he was in deep. He is a recovering alcoholic and we just bumped into him in the liquor store, claiming that he pops in from time to time to look around, hover in the gin aisle, and talk to old friends (who otherwise hate sober people). And right at the start of the season where the manager starts going around begging people to buy so that they don't close the store down. The store that he is still drawn to, and can vividly recount all of the times he has visited it this year. We're going to be a little concerned.

The thing to remember is what Vidar said which is they enjoyed the community much more than Phil. I believe this was true regarding the both of them and that is why they felt obliged to help fund Phil. They wanted the show to keep going. This is different from Grazy who just is a filthy pay slut for Phil.

I don't disagree that Jezel needs to be reminded of the danger of being roped into Phil's usury. But we have to believe that how Phil acted during the doxxing saga and his subsequent belittling of Jezel had some effect. I legitimately believe him that he has moved on and I hope that he has found friends in those communities.

Phil: "Liquid_Richi, what your aaaah... brother does have nothing to do with me, ummm... im... im just a guy that make positive content and i really dont wanna have anything to do with that kind of stuff so... so that's on your own prerogative!"

Right...
Few days ago he told people to report any channel being negative towards him!

I think it's safe to say that Vidar did a lot more than just trying to support the community. He donated thousands, participated in gay ops, and was more of nazi mod than queen swagginz ever thought about being.

A response from Jezal, who allowed me to share this:

:O Sorry, I didn't mean to imply he "came crawling back", or anything. To use the DSP TV analogy, he was a notable character who'd made an unexpected cameo, so I thought it was interesting enough to comment on :/

Please send him my apologies :)

If you might do me a solid? Ask him WHY he ever felt compelled to give Phil money in the first place, knowing damn well what a piece of shit he is? Aside from @BSV (whom I would also like to hear a reason from) I couldn’t possibly get in touch with any of his other pay pigs as they’re too far gone. Grazydream simply said, “well what do you spend your money on?”

I'm not sure how I'd find the quote I have in mind, but basically, in BSV's case, the more rabid "Detractors" turned it into a "Us Vs Them" scenario:

I think a misconception is that I try to defend phil, Honestly I wish i just could shut up about it. But i find it so ridiculous that I can't help myself. That campaign against him is maybe the stupidest idea from a detractor ever. I hope for secret life and the other parties involved that it fails. If it actually lights the fuse. I imagine it to be a scene from Goutrunner and Wil-e coyote.

From the locked "BSV" thread:

"Being a DSP detractor is the easiest thing in the world. It's not that I don't agree with what most people say. However, this honey badger attitude annoys the heck out of me. Because people just without any critical sense what so ever jumps on anything like it's breaking news, and creates a hype that shouldn't be there over really mundane stupid shit. And I know it's not "the right thing" to point it out. But in every instance I have done it, it have been met with hostility from what I perceive as a majority".

I was thinking about this last month when Harriet Louise Connor got Halal'd (though before she turned SJW Stereotype to justify her resentment). Even after you've been ejected from a community like here or the DSPseudo-cult, and there was enough time dedicated to that community, you'd be curious enough to keep tabs on developments. At least enough to gauge the effect of your absence.

I'm curious how he worded these. During the Doxening, "Kiwi Farms" wasn't mentioned by name. It was just "That Detractor site". And the name BSV has been excised from the timeline. He's just someone who "Lost his way" and went to "That Detractor site" after being told not to.

It's things like that which make me think the networks of Phil's community "intermingle". The roles are for the most part not rigid
enough to separate the benefits of the other networks, if that makes sense. BSV could support both Phil and the community.

Also, keep in mind that BSV is a unique case and can't be taken to represent the whole.

His PayMeTreon is taking another hit in November

I guess less and less people wants to have the PRESTIGIOUS PREVILAGE to nominate and pay this pig to MAYBE play game for 30minutes if he feels like it, sounds good?

Yeah, Patreon took its usual dip, but what's interesting is that there hasn't been the usual recovery when people fix their payment errors. I'm going to calculate how much change there actually was.

For what it's worth, I don't believe Jezal has cheered or subbed since he left. He could have tipped anonymously I guess.

Funny that starting gameplay at 1-1.5 hours is shorter. I guess he's talking less? He's also generally getting (in my unscientific and unconfirmed opinion) fewer cheers. Less troll quarter questions and whatnot, for the most part. What I'm noticing is that he's getting a few more quarters during gameplay with questions and such and people like grazydream and infinite tend to dump their $10-15 cheers in the middle of gameplay to get their attention. Same with the somewhat larger ($10+) tips too.

He just leaned over to his laptop, said "The laptop's not working," and someone was banned from the chat for saying "i wont mention the taxes no more"

AIHmm

He pulls that shit all the time. Sidenote: was he actually mentioning the taxes again?

I don’t exactly remember the video source, I think it may be one of Tevin’s (very long) videos where Phil definitely blames the victims of the doxening, and I specifically remember him saying that they shouldn’t be sticking their noses in the site’s business anyway so it’s their own fault. Same with having their personal info online. Now whether this correlates with the situation of Phil calling the waaaahmbulance for Kat or not, but it still seems similar.

Phil is mystified that he could be near the end of Chapter 4 out of 6 and only be 52% done with the story. Because obviously chapters are identical in length at all times.

So in other words people who gives him $5 or more on Patreon have no power what so ever, despite what ever he claims on every pre-stream as of late... How can people still support this guy when he clearly dont care what so ever?

You see, this is where Phil is a fucking dolt. What he should have done is let the Patrons nominate games. He then could have let them vote on the top four or so. Each week leading up to Halloween he could have done each of the runner up games as an extended Sunday stream. He could have called them spooky Sundays or something. Each one could have started with a thank you roll of his patrons and a special shout out to the one who nominated the game originally. The Halloween stream would have been ONE GAME as an 8 hour session and a celebration of his fans. Hell he could reached out to the person that nominated the winner and done a special five minute call thanking them. He could have had Kat in on it as well and done it up as a big thing.

But what do I know? I am a mentally ill detractor.

great idea phil. shame the fans into supporting you in exactly the way you want to and tell them to go fuck themselves when they support you in some sub-optimal way.

Phil truly does think that giving him money should be its own reward, and that anything else he does as "thanks" should be treated as some incredible gift that deserves the utmost gratitude, no matter how lazily done.

God, there's a lot to unpack here. It's late, so apologies if I don't do this justice:

Changes were made because Phil selflessly listened to "YOUR FEEDBACK". Right from the start, Phil for some reason assumes Twitch supporters and Patreon supporters to be the same people. This justifies his anger that they selfishly want it "both ways".

Viewers allegely told him he "was missing out on growth opportunities on Twitch." Why rely on the business acumen of your viewers?

Based on their advice, he completely "changed things up" with his Patreon and "turned everything to Twitch viewers". It's clear that "changed things up" can't mean anything other than abandon.

In return for his considerate adherence to strangers' business advice, Phil's Patreon "has greatly dwindled". Why even mention this? He clearly states that all incentive to contribute to it has been removed.

As a "SPECIAL THANKS" to the Patreon supporters that have stuck around since the change, they are given a litigious reward that is still based on the caprice of the Twitch viewers. Patreon supporters are at once both those that wanted change and those that have to suffer it.

When focused on Patreon, he's told by that nebulous business advisor to focus on Twitch instead. When focused on Twitch, his Patrons complain of neglect. How are these even comparable? One is questionable advise for your benefit alone, and the other is the neglect of people who generously give you money.

"If there's one thing I've learned, it's that when you want to keep viewer engagement [when would you ever not want to keep viewer engagement?] during an event, you go with what your stream viewers are telling you". Twitch supporters and Patreon supporters are now two groups at odds with each other, one making game nominations and the other dictating what's played during the stream.

He "purposely changed up" the way special events are done "to avoid issues like this". And yet here you are with an issue like this. It's not the fault of the critic that your plan didn't work.

"So no offense to those who may have pledged to see a specific game played" - that pledge that is the "SPECIAL THANKS" for sticking around through the change - "but you're completely off base and living in the past".

Also, why is the last paragraph double-spaced?
