Of course he does! Now that he's living alone, getting a surprise pizza delivery must be like an early Christmas present for him, even if he has to pay for it. It also takes away the monstrous amount of effort needed to order one for himself. It's hardcore gaming season after all, gotta save as many gaming minutes as possible.
 
I will play devils advocate for a second, but the last thing I would do if a family member had just died would be going to Phil's stream and casually chatting with the people there about it. Maybe in a private setting with PMs or something, but it just seems like proper etiquette not to blow up a public chat area with "my brother died and im sad." It is kind of awkward, but Phil of course could have handled this way better than reeeeeing over it.

I often sometimes want to take up defense for Phil, not because I like him, but because of lot of the shit he gets is not because of the issue at hand, but how he reacts to it. Instead of calling the guy out, he could have simply temporarily banned him from chat, and explained that expressing his grief in chat is likely not very healthy, and that he could move the discussion to his forums where it is more appropriate to support him during his difficult time. That's it. I don't think there is ever anything Phil has done that has not been repairable in some fashion. Phil is not like other cows that do unforgivable things, or at the the root of what causes Phil so much notoriety is not because of what happened, its always him opening his mouth and making horrible decisions after the fact.

There's a screengrab floating around somewhere but when you see how it was mentioned it makes more sense. The guy wasn't really casually chatting about his brothers death in the chat. Phil was whining on stream about how since Leanna left and he's been so stressed he's just been eating fast food all day instead of cooking full meals. The guy said something along the line of "My brother just died and I'm still able to make full meals. Just go for something easy to make rather than junk food all the time like a cheese toastie" and that caused Phil to REEEEEEE. And where his accusations come from of "I'm in a worse situation yet doing better than you" which is obviously not what the guy was saying.
 
Yeah the dude was pretty much saying "I've been stressed lately too here's what I do to cope and stay healthy" and Phil responded with "ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE YOURE BETTER THAN ME?!?!?!?!?!!!?" BANNED!!!!!!!!"

Literally everyone that was there for it was horrified, including a couple of his mods

And tell us what Phil says to trigger this initial response? He can't cook because he's him, can't clean because he's him, can't sleep because he's him etc. It was an incredible amount of admitting he's a fucking failure as a man, as an adult. And he's burdening his fanbase with his pathetic self inflicted issues. I'd have told him to man the fuck up too if I was there at the time!
 
I like how you can tell based on the chat when DSP started shitting on him. His chat was not impressed.

With Phil, he's never had a massive moment where he's turned people off and often people in this thread are surprised that fans don't leave in droves after a specific incident. Like the most recent one being the brother thing. The only real mass exodus was the whole mod exodus of 2014.

Yeah every shitty thing he does, doesn't cause tons of people to leave and never watch him again, only 5 - 10.
But think of how many times he's done or said shitty stuff, its in the hundreds for sure. Hundreds of 5 - 10 people leaving each time. That's what caused his decline his views. You can never point to one big moment because it was a slow kill, a steady decline as he drove away a tiny portion of people each and every day.

It's still Phil's problem if he REEES when someone mentions real-life problems or depressing moments in life. Phil's been guilt-tripping people for so long and came up with every sob story under the sunset, and he has shown times and times again that he doesn't care much about other people (like his friend who passed away, the best thing Phil came up with to handle the situation was to make a monetized video about it) that he sees trolls in every shadow and believes other people use these lies against him. It also adds up that he still has a better life than most other people are yet he still whines more about it than everyone else. He is the King of First World Problems.

So people cannot compare their life to Phil's? I mean it is his own fault that his life is boring and shallow because he isolated himself. Add the lack of empathy this man has and you get such a rage fit from Phil. I am sorry for Wardog having a good intention, but then again what did you expect from DSP?

I'm not saying Phil isn't being a piece of shit. I am saying he turns mountains out of molehills. All I am saying is that specifically it is kind of dumb to use the death of a family member to equate or some how use as an argument against Phil. It is no different than someone posting about how they can get a job when their family member has died, and Chris Chan can't. Divulging personal information, such as a death in the family in a chatroom full of DSP sychophants is fucking stupid. Comparing yourself to Phil or arguing against Phil will result in a ban. We all know this, I just find it surprising that everyone thinks Phil has crossed any line, as if he had any moral obligation in his head in the first place. This is Phil we are talking about. I think it boils down to pozloading my negholep, do you really need to let Phil know that he sucks by using personal experiences as ammunition? All Phil had to do was either ignore it, or address it in a completely different manner than "REEEE YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ME"

If it was a troll poster or the like, I could maybe understand where you're coming from. It makes a world of difference when it is one of his viewers posting something like that, versus one of us. As for it being fucking stupid...was it? I admit I only skimmed the chatlog, but it seemed like the dude was getting a decent amount of support, and he continues to get support days after the fact. Wasn't one of the mods even saying the situation was handled poorly?

I think the reason the chat was so supportive/continues to be supportive is because of the fact this was a (seemingly) legit viewer. They can't just write it off as another filthy detractor being banned. If the guy ends up being a Kiwi or something, then sure, I guess it falls under pozloading my negholep, but as far as I can tell, it was an actual viewer.

I skimmed it too, so admittedly I don't have all of my facts correct when I originally posted. Maybe saying stupid is a bit harsh as it was likely a legitimate Phil fan, but regardless I still think it would be naive to give any of those people who give him money and kiss his ass any information they could use.

I think my message came across wrong to a lot of people here, so let me rephrase it for clarification. There was no reason for Phil to be an asshole to this guy, regardless of what his intentions were. Let's say hypothetically Phil is right, or he truly believed he is right (although obviously he is just being a sensitive bitch and we all know that), its in poor taste to behave that way in front of an audience. All he simply had to do was ignore it, or at least acknowledge it and say "sorry for your loss" and move on.
