I agree with you somewhat but getting your account TERMINATED for, in all honestly, a harmless comment like, "Get a job." is nothing short of insane. Big social media sites are becoming more and more feelings driven when it comes to their policy on bans and termination. Especially when directed towards people with higher standing then normal people. If you can't say a minor insult, at best, like that on the freaking internet where the hell can you??

What i dont get is why Twitch isnt doing anything, sure it is probably not him, but he is definetly reaping the rewards from it without a care in the world.

Twitch gets revenue for each ad viewed and doesn't care if it was a viewbot, so cracking down on viewbots is going to hurt their bottom line. There's no reason for them to step in like that unless/until advertisers start complaining.


Edit: At least we know Phil's not using viewbots today... "South Park" came out today and he's only at 434 viewers right now

Depends on where you are. Shrimp is easy to get ahold of at a reasonable price off the Gulf for example. Lobster is probably, marginally, less expensive in an area that's known for it. I will admit that Phil probably isn't smart enough to get anything cheaply though.

Sorry I should have clarified. When he moved to Washington he would eat out every week and eat a shrimp, lobster or crab meal. This went on every week basically until he got gout. There is evidence on instagram. Back in CT he seemed to live more frugally even though he was making more money. I think a lot of the excess spending on expensive meals and other things was to impress Panda Lee. Like their expensive hotel staycation in 2016 where he rented the sub pop suite and had no idea that record label or that Nirvana was on it. He spent whatever money to stay in an expensive hotel 40 min from his house so him and Panda lee would be near Pokestops.

He then said this would somehow allow him to get rid of all his debt?? Now I have no clue about anything related to housing or loans, so could someone with the knowledge explain what the hell he means by this?

I don't blame him at all for being this quiet, awkward, and unresponsive in these videos. Leanna's fucking embarrassing. Imagine wanting to go out on a date with your significant other to a restaurant you really like, when all of a sudden, he/she pulls out their phone and starts recording you, spewing a bunch of verbal diarrhea, and asking you multiple dumb questions when all you want to do is eat. It's hard to believe since this is Phil we're talking about, but he could have just wanted to have a nice private meal with his girlfriend and have an actual conversation that didn't end up online. The video with Leanna's mom is the absolute worst though. It's hard enough meeting your significant other's parents for the first time, and Leanna is so clueless that she's making this lunch a million times more awkward than it has to be. The whole mood of these videos is similar to watching some really awkward home movies of an overbearing mom filming her embarrassed 15 year old son's birthday party.

I specifically remember a few older videos of Phil eating with John Rambo and Howard he's acting like ol' Youtube Phil in public. I specially remember the infamous "turban full of bombs" video when Phil and his friends were eating inside a Jack in the Box in Tennessee. This was in an old series of videos where he went to a Super Battle Opera qualifier for SSF2T. This was also the trip where Phil got that dumb cowboy hat he wears in his Ask the King series.

People who have met Phil irl have come out and said that Phil can be quiet and awkward in public, but I don't think any normal person would be happy and be in a good mood when someone like Leanna is sticking a camera in your face, watching you eat, and talking to you very loudly in her obnoxious fucking voice so people around you can hear her and turn around to give you dirty looks. Knowing Phil's temper, I'm shocked he didn't knock the camera out of her hand. Crawling in a hole and hoping for sweet release actually sounds like a pretty decent alternative than dealing with this bullshit on a date.

In other words, he wants to go from being 50% paid off on his quarter million dollar WA condo to 0% paid off so he can pay off higher interest credit card debt. If he has to choose between the two forms of debt this is a good move. He of course does not have to choose between the two forms of debt; he could also just sell the WA condo and move to CT then pay off credit card debt with the proceeds. He refuses to do that because ego.

For someone who never watches other youtubers, streamers or detractor videos he always seems pretty up to date on what they're doing. I'm sure his lackeys keep him informed but he often comments on what the 'big youtubers' are doing like with Sterling and TB criticising lootboxes recently. He also seems to know the practices of all popular Twitch streamers with their constant shoutouts and distractions on the screen etc. And he often comments on detractor videos like those recent ones showing his inputs on Street Fighter. He may not be interested in the content but I think his insecurities would force him to check out the competition/enemy.

You may remember the 'fad' in the 2000s of "debt consolidation", AKA getting a new huge loan from a company with a lower interest rate than all your current debts, and it being used to pay them all off. The con was of course the loan took longer to pay off & cost you more overall, but at least you didn't go bankrupt.
DSP noted that for 2 years the value of the WA condo (it's not a house per se, since it's part of a triplex, a terraced house at best) went up, and his plan was to wait 2 more years for it to keep going up in value, then he can remortgage it and use that extra cash to pay off his other debts (supposedly 2 business loans, various credit cards, I doubt it would be enough to deal with the CT condo) and then he'd be in a better financial situation. Longer & more overall debt to pay off, but a lower monthly cost he could handle in the wake of YouTube adpocalypse etc.

HOWEVER I forget when this was, I want to say a recent Hate Live Q&A session at the end of the stream, but someone asked about the status of the WA 'house'. DSP noted that for this last year the value had NOT gone up, merely stayed about the same. So DSP extended this plan to wait THREE more years before getting a new mortgage. If the WA property doesn't go up or even goes down in value, he seems to have no idea what to do.

building on that point, i don't enjoy eating in front of others or in public places, and i know plenty of others who are seriously uncomfortable about it, so it wouldn't surprise me at all that phil's blood is boiling while leanna has the camera on him in front of her mom when he's trying to eat a damn sandwich. Especially with phil's terrible diet and the foods he eats, i wouldn't be surprised if her nagging and recording completely ruined the joy his brain would have expected from all that salt, fat, and carbs.
