I'm mostly interested in the excuse he will come up with this time since Leanna can't make him sick again!
His excuse was "even if they paid me to attend I still wouldnt go because I have to work" (heard on Snort's video) His excuse for not paying to go to Twitchcon himself was he would get too far behind on all these new releases in the "hardcore begging season"

In reality he fears detractors or someone calling him out on shit. He's feeding these excuses about 'his work' to his fans as usual.

Oh I wholly agree. He KNOWS he'd be mocked by the general public and by the known streamers. He's terrified of a big streamer saying "I hear DSP's in attendance here, guess there was nothing I could do! I was pushing buttons! If you're interested in getting started in streaming or gaming for a living, watch DSP for a guide on what NOT to do" Because especially at Twitchcon, there's a LOT of salt running around there. A lot of big name streamers who are very successful and arent afraid to throw a little shade.

DSP if he did go to a convention, would be to go to an animecon or a furrycon where he wouldnt be recognized at all. Go incognito to a comic con in a costume with a full mask. No attention drawn to yourself or the DSP brand name at all. Might actually be able to enjoy yourself. But no, that doesnt bring in those juicy juicy views, tips and bits.

Didn't John and Howard confirm that in social occasions Phil tend to keep it to himself and avoid drawing attention? Without them to be his wingmen, he'd make a worse impression than what people can watch on twitch. If he had a shard of actual charisma, he could arrange a fan meeting (if his fans' parents allow, of course). Be he won't do that because he wouldn't get paid to do it.

I watch this very small streamer on Twitch. They average in the 30-40 viewers range, they're older, play more obscure games. I adore them. And they say if they'll be at an event and will be more than happy to spend time with you. I met them on multiple occasions, had drinks with them, they were a blast to hang with, as a person and as a personality.

Phil argues he'll be swatted, and have his life threatened and all of the big bad meanieheads would come out to kill him. Most of his fans adore him. He could make a huge joke about his seal laugh, about his "i'm pushing buttons" and really laugh off the whole thing and have a blast. But he wouldnt make money at that kind of thing. He refuses to do ANYTHING for his fans unless it gives him big bucks. I mean, a 5 min personalized video from Phil costs 50 bucks a month. A 2 hour skype call with my favourite streamer who will write your own personalized short story and who will edit your own writing costs 30 bucks. Who's the better deal?

There are far other more "infamous" streamers/youtubers (AngryJoe for one, Jim Sterling for another) who have far more "haters" than Phil does but Phil seems to think he's even close to being in the same popularity league. Thus legions of haters would come to kill Phil and swat him and cause him massive harm

He's just becoming the stereotypical gamer. Antisocial, no significant other, avoids social contact in order to game more, dorito dust covered, energy drink swilling fat-tard.

(edit to remove "typical gamer" changed to stereotypical gamer. My bad)

Yeah they said on their expose video that DSP has admitted before that he's an insecure person and thats why he always takes troll baits and fights back and does "issue addresses" and lies about stuff. And that he's also a pretty reserved person who can be really quiet. DSP himself has said that he knows he's got security issues and thats why he always fights back against criticism and trolling and stuff, but it was during a money begging video so who knows if he truly believes that.

People say with the cameras off he's a really quiet and reserved and almost awkward person, he mumbles a lot. It seems the whole DSP Persona is a bit of a front. You can catch him like this when he doesn't know the camera is rolling like in some of Pandalees vlogs. I specifically remember a vlog where they're at a diner and he just awkwardly waddles over and he's really quiet and mumbles a lot. Same with a bunch of con vlogs, maybe thats why he doesn't go to cons anymore. People have said that he was quieter than they expected and really awkward and then when his panel came on it was like his usual DSP self.

He's also really not good with confrontation and thats why he constructs a lot of it. He needs the ability to get rid of the other person in case they proves them wrong. He either does it through text like his forums and twitter then insta bans the person/blocks the person so they can't retort. Or he does it on a video where nobody can respond to him, with closed comments, so he can't be proven wrong. There's been times he's been in confrontations that he can't control like on multiplayer games where they ask him a question through mic and he just spergs out and insta quits the game and goes on a rage because he got caught out.

Anything to do with confrontation in person there's always stories of him running off or being like "Yeah lets fake it" or something. He'd probably just take it like a bitch.

Just curious does anyone actually believe this viewer number is correct for a Phil stream given that it's a Monday night, during most school's mid-term weeks, at 12:30am???

Those are absolutely, 1,000% view bots. Just looked at his viewer list. There's maybe 350 - 500 actual viewers at this moment.

He's currently at 7th overall for streaming South Park. It's a damn shame considering the guy right after him ACTUALLY has 1,400+ viewers. I'm assuming Phil will just plead ignorance to this tomorrow...

I would laugh my ass off if something went horribly wrong and thousands and thousands of bots show up til he's at 10,000 viewers. Like under a minute, boom 300 - 10,000.

Funny you mention that. I kept refreshing his stream during his last 10-15 mins and the views kept fluctuating from 500+ back to 1,200-1,400+ multiple times.

The way he starts talking on the video. It sounds like he's ashamed that there's video running in public. I think this delves deeper into his CT persona vs his WA persona. His CT persona almost seems afraid of CT.

But in addition, listen to the way he talks about the history of this place. Now THIS would be a DSP tries it I'd actually be interested in. Where he talks about the history of the fast food place he goes to. Without Leanna stomping all over what he has to say about the history to get a word in edgewise. This kind of thing could actually be interesting. Notice no chewing noises or lip smacking from Phil. So if he got a freakin tripod to record his videos, noone would hear his cud chewing.

But I must say, that slicked back greaser look is SO 1950s.

I think Phil could make it as a legit food reviewer if he used his around blacks never relax persona more often, the little history lesson was actually a nice touch.

Maybe he was just worried Leanna was going to get him arrested for filming in public, since that is his excuse for not filming anywhere but his house nowadays.

Some more videos of Phil uncomfortably eating in public. Once again a warning for Pandalee voice. The woman in the second video is Leanna's mom so that must have been uncomfortable as fuck. But look how different he acts and how awkward and uncomfortable he is around people. He needs prompting just to talk. Though to be honest the route he should have went on Youtube is food based. Going to restaurants, telling their history and all that stuff.

Also jesus, the second video is more like a mom and dad taking their daughter to the restaurant and the daughter is filming.

So now with the Amazon thing, he IS a camwhore, only with the camwhore, you know what you are getting and there is no delusion to the contrary.

Shit. He actually sounds....like a normal (albeit on the quiet side) person. I'm actually surprised.

Like I said in my first posts here as a former long time YouTuber you slowly adapt 2 different personalities and you are able to switch them on and off at any given moment.
This confidence is fake cause you built it on something virtual, like those people with level 9001 W.o.W. characters.
They may be the shit in those worlds but as soon as they log off the comfort zone fades and they´re only their former selves. Quite pathetic, actually.
They didn't build upon their character in real life, only in this very specific venue.

This is also why DSP doesn't want any criticism that reminds him of the little shit he truly is.
The space between real DSP and YouTube DSP has become so big that he does anything in his power to maintain that YouTuber personality as long as possible even if it means losing all his friends and love interests.
What people do for power always surprises me again and again.

The most interesting part? It`ll only get worse.
